Thunder Wave (Japanese: でんじは Electromagnetic Wave) is a non-damaging Electric-type move introduced in Generation I. It is TM45 in Generation I and TM73 in Generation IV. Although it is non-damaging, it will not affect Ground types.

Effect

Generation I

Thunder Wave paralyzes the opponent.

Thunder Wave can't affect an opponent that already has a major status ailment, and will not work against ground types.

In Stadium, Thunder Wave can't affect an opponent that has a substitute.
