Introduction
I am an Executive Policymaker of Bulbapedia, a Vice-Webmaster of Bulbagarden, and former Editor-in-Chief of Bulbapedia. I joined on December 9, 2007, worked hard enough to get nominated for a staff position, and clawed my way up from there. That's right, you too can be EiC. All it takes is hard work, dedication, and all those other inspirational things you hear about getting ahead in life. After being EiC for a while, I decided that I wanted to focus on the user experience. My main goal as EiC is to make everything easier to understand and help my fellow user find the page they want as efficiently as possible, and when they get there, I want it to be full of all the juicy info you need organized around some fancy and colorful templates.
I've been a fan since Gen I, but near the end of Gen II, I lost interest. After seeing Beautifly, I figured Game Freak had run out of original ideas, so I skipped Ruby and Sapphire, but the remakes of Gen I brought me back. Thanks to FireRed and LeafGreen, I also invested a little time checking out Gen III Pokémon, and came to the realization, that some of them were actually pretty original. As for Gen IV, well, I wasn't going to jump in, but after a friend of mine did first, I decided, why not? I had to try out the all new Magnezone and get in on that Wi-Fi action. While looking for info to educate myself on what I missed during my Poké-hiatus, I found Bulbapedia. The rest is history.
On December 9, 2012, exactly 5 years after joining Bulbapedia, I decided to step down from my position as Editor-in-Chief. You can read about my decision in this message from the editor. Thanks to all the staff and fans for helping out during my tenure. I'm not leaving though, so don't worry, I'll still be around.

Trom: Well well well. If it isn't MAGNEDETH.
DETH: where? that bastard owes me money
Trom: He's on the other internet. Let me get him for you.
Trom: *smash*
Trom: *pow*
Trom: *crash*
Trom: He is now subdued.
DETH: has gone offline **
Trom: Another victory for the dark lord :D
DETH: has escaped your clutches **
Trom: WHAT? NO!
Trom: IF IT WEREN'T FOR YOU MEDDLING KIDS...
DETH: set your house on fire **
Trom: crap, i'm in my house.
DETH: has come online **
DETH: there we go, i stuck that bastard in a burning house
Trom: you idiot, that was my house
Trom: After all we've been through!
DETH: well what the hell was i doing in your house?

Trom: That wasn't meant to show up again.
DETH: well then kill it
Trom: Oh, it's coz the window closed itself.
Trom: Or rather, I Ctrl+Wed it.
DETH: wheres the Wednesday button?
Trom: In between Tuesday and Thursday.
Trom: It turns everything a nice shade of green.
Trom: I think Wednesday is a green day.
Trom: (Thursday is orange)
DETH: so if it turned everything green, why did it close the window?
Trom: Because we didn't want the green getting inside.
DETH: Geo?
Trom: Precisely.
DETH: that green bastard
Trom: He gets a lot of places where he's not wanted.
DETH: well, maybe people should stop giving them to him
Trom: We try. It's all take-take-take with Mister Derako.
DETH: hes a crafty green fellow.
DETH: never know what hes up to
DETH: how did we go from an away message to discussing Geo being green and his apparent theivery of anything and everything
Trom: That's how crafty he is.

DETH: well, i guess it all started with the crazy Spaniards. and thanks to them with help from the English, theyve created a monster.
Buzz: and yet you'll probably never consider living elsewhere.
DETH: when you get accustomed to it, its hard to leave.
DETH: well, a guess accustomed is the wrong word.
DETH: surely, i could get accustomed to living anywhere, be it England, Japan, Israel, Australia, or even somewhere as disgusting as Canada.

DETH: would that be a bad thing?
Glinn: We wouldn't know!

Teams
My teams follow a simple pattern.
- Starter
- Flyer
- Magnemite
- Surfer
- Earthquake-er
- HM slave/Powerhouse
Certain Pokémon get placed in the same position. However, Flygon on my Sapphire team is a good example of how this isn't always the case. I don't know why or how I started doing things this way, but, it's nice to be organized. It should be noted though that this doesn't mean I'm going to send the same Pokémon out first every time if you battle me online.
Gen I

Blue
Back in the day when legendaries we're the only way to go and if you didn't have a Mewtwo, you were a nobody. I had an Articuno (named "Icy") which was mostly for Flying, but, also good for beating Lance. Megamite is a Level 100 Magnemite, and the rest are what you'd expect.
Level 255
Thanks to the Missingno. glitch, You can get one hell of a team by trading with friends.
Red
THIS GAME HAS BEEN LOST. I started with Squirtle.
Yellow
I had never played Yellow version before 2010. Namely because I hate Pikachu. Well, a friend was cleaning his place, and found 3(!) copies. I gave away two of them, and decided I might as well beat Yellow. Of course, I had to find a way to ditch Pikachu...so I did, by making him an HM slave and Submission user on any weak Normal-type I came across. I traded a Vulpix in as my new starter. Back in Gen I, before the Special split, some Pokemon were a lot more powerful than after the split. If I was gonna run Gen I, I wanted in on that, so I decided to grab Ninetales and Tentacruel, both of which got really screwed in the Special split (more Ninetales than Cruel). And it shows. Tentacruel is a beast, and Ninetales is totally usable (and huggable). Magneton is standard, although now packing a tank-worthy 120 Sp.Def. I chose Dodrio and Dugtrio for 2 reasons. I don't use them as much as I'd like, but more importantly, in Gen I, Speed is key, and they have it (also, the Gen I Tri Attack animation is AWESOME!).

Gen II

Silver
With the introduction of a new generation, we got the opportunity to play with 100 new species of Pokémon. Buuut, I was a naive young boy who still insisted on using legendaries...however, I did move up to a Magneton. Ho-oh had Fly and T-tar was pretty crappy. But he was cool looking.
Gold
This game was lost for the longest time, but I found it as of February 15th. But, sitting under the dresser for a few years hasn't done it any favors. So I restarted it! You wouldn't think restarting and playing an ancient Pokémon game would be fun, but, it seems to have really shown me how good these older games were.
Aerodactyl and Horsea were traded in, and Heracross kinda-sorta has a hacked moveset.

Gen III

Sapphire
This is actually the second team, as this game was restarted. The first time around was pretty bad, but I made sure I knew the score this time around. I planned the team ahead of time, and then left a spot open for a Crawdaunt knowing 4 HMs. They all do their jobs quite well, even Walrein, the weakest.
LeafGreen
Like above, there was a second team. This was my first Pokémon game since Silver, three years prior. I knew nothing about natures and EVs, so, it was a mess. Second time around, I had Blastoise, a hacked Scyther with Fly, Magneton, Arcanine, Nidoking, and a Kingler with any HM I didn't want on the main team. Super hacked Scyther bothered me a little, and I wasn't really satisfied with Blastoise or Arcanine either, so I restarted it again!
This is the new team. Would you believe its 100% legit? Well it is! I guess it evens out the hacked Emerald team... This team is great. I could have used Hitmonlee instead of Primeape, but i just used Hitmonlee in SS, so I decided to give Primeape a go. Also, as a sort of boycott, I had never used a Charizard before (granted, his special stat in Gen I was abysmal) so I gave him a go here.
Emerald
A friend of mine has been shipped off to Iraq. Godspeed to him. He gave me his Emerald. This team was used to beat his game and harvest legendaries: Sceptile, Xatu, Magneton, Golduck, Dugtrio, Machamp.
Hoenn sucks in terms of Pokemon choice. I milked it for all it was worth with my Sapphire team, but when I was given an Emerald, I had to quick think of a team to fill it in. Very few of the Gen III Pokemon flow well enough with Swampert to make a good team of them. Granted, that's a giant opinion, but either way, I cheated a little. First, Swampert can't effectively use Water-type attacks, and secondly, there's too damn many Water-type HMs in Gen III, so Ludicolo is used to handle that stuff and Swampert is used as the Grounder. Ninjask is hacked with Fly and Signal Beam (why didn't they give it to him in the first place?), Breloom is used as Fighting only, and Typhlosion was imported because Fire-types don't exist in Hoenn (aside from Blaziken whom i already used).
XD
TEMP TEAM - Game is slated for restart.

Gen IV

Diamond
This is my team for used in the story. Beating gyms, E4, etc. I have rarely used it in battles against anyone. Magnemite and Porygon had to be traded over because they aren't in the Sinnoh Dex. I don't really like any of the Sinnoh starters (Torterra is cool, but, I'd never use him) but I chose Infernape simply because it was useful and fit into the team. However, thanks to that annoying monkey sound, I almost replaced him. Very annoying. Magnezone and Garchomp are used in other teams and Porygon-Z does see occasional online use.
Platinum
Being that I'm not a "third version" sort of person, so, Pt isn't a super by-the-books affair. I don't like any of the of the Gen IV starters outside of Torterra, but, he just didn't fit well into this team. So I chose Piplup because Empoleon is a great HM whore. Vaporeon takes the place as my "starter", Gliscor pulls double duty as the Flyer and Quaker, Zone is Zone, Gallade shows up to kick some ass, and Houndoom gets a spot as a solid Fire-type, because he didn't get enough exposure in any other team I have.
SoulSilver
For the record, HGSS are awesome. Yea, there's some stuff here and there that could be better, or maybe some stuff that was removed from the originals that shouldn't have been removed, but it's still awesome. Started with Totodile, just like my old Silver, and with the Phys/Spec split, he's even more awesome than ever. I wanted to try some "new" guys, so I finally decided to try a Crobat, and surprisingly, training a horrible little Zubat was actually pretty fun, and Crobat is proving very useful. Swinub was quite a challenge, but all in all, Mamoswine is strong enough to make you forget. Hitmonlee is also proving very useful. Meanwhile, Houndoom in Johto? Feels good. Magneton can't evolve? not a problem.
Titanium Gym
This is my old IPGL gym team. When I left the league, my overall tally for this team is an awesome 65 wins, and only 6 losses. I always lead with a Steel-type, but it changed depending on who I was facing. Now that I'm not battling anymore, I can openly say that both Lucario and Scizor run Swords Dance sets (although, I had alternate sets in my early matches) and when they were on the field, they nearly guaranteed me at least one, probably 2 kills each. Magnezone was a revenge killer, Steel trapper, and generally used for killing anything that was already damaged. It may sound weird, but basically, everyone knew I had Zone, but no one knew when they would see him. And as they pondered this, that's when he would surprise them. Metagross was just brute force. No real strategy on him except an unconventional moveset. Worked awesome. Skarmory and Empoleon rarely proved useful and were rarely used as a result. Our rules allowed 2 non-Steel-types allowed, so I chose Gliscor and Gyarados because they resisted a lot of the types that are strong against Steel. I didn't have much time to give them proper movesets, but they proved confounding enough that even with fairly straightforward attacking sets, they did exactly what I needed them to; cause the opponent to switch.

Gen V is here! WHAT?! NO MAGNEMITE?! It's true. For the first time since Gen I, I didn't use a Magnemite (before Megamite, I had a Raichu). Galvantula is pretty damn cool though, and with Compoundeyes it throws a mean Thunder. Granted, its a hell of a lot less powerful than Zone, and noticeably more frail. In this gen, I don't really like any of the starters. Game Freak really screwed this all up making Emboar another Fire/Fighting because really, Samurott should absolutely be Water/Fighting. Not to mention Samurott's really stupid stat spread, but regardless, he did a pretty good job. Sigilyph is just plain cool. He looks, sounds, and acts ridiculous, and with Magic Guard, he just doesn't care what you think. Good stat spread and great movepool. Chandelure and Mienshao were Pokemon I wanted pretty bad, but you only get late in the game. Thankfully, Umeko and Jo The Marten respectively traded me a bred Pokemon. Specially bred IV made them both killing machines. Then there's Excadrill. As soon as he was revealed I wanted one, and I searched FOREVER in Wellspring Cave for a good Drilbur. Can't tell you how long it took, but it payed off. By the way, in the interest of learning names, I didn't nickname anything. The nicknames listed are simply names they I called them myself.
White 2
With the unexpected changes brought by B2W2, I finally had myself a Magnemite in Unova! But what about the rest? I insisted on staying with Gen V Pokemon for the rest of the team. Emboar proved to be powerful, but lacking a friendly movepool. Rather aggravating having to gain BP to earn Brick Break just to give him something to use. Archeops had to be traded in (thanks Jo the Marten), but he is a beast. Give it Acrobatics and it will tear teams apart. His defenses are terrible, but he was usually fast enough to OHKO anyway. The moveset changes were kind to Magnemite, giving him Flash Canon, but the TM changes meant Shock Wave was no longer available. Volt Switch is annoying to use in single player. Simipour had to be traded in (thanks again to Jo) because there's no way I'm going to wait for the tiny chance for one to pop-up. She proved to be just fast enough and just strong enough to provide the power I needed. Krookodile is awesome. Defenses were terrible, but he did't care, he would rock the earth of just eat his opponents. Basculin rounded out as an HM slave. I was using a Leavanny (named Tivanny) for a while, and while she did a good job, I didnt want to saddle anyone with Cut and Dive. Basculin never saw battle.

No real story here, it was my Blue starter, liked him since. Looks cool, sounds cool, quiet attitude.
Yea, but, I haven't used him much. Statistically has the best stats in Gen I, but Grass and Poison are fairly useless types in the grand scheme.
Nidoking
He's just AWESOME. You got him early and could use him late. That, and just look at him, look! Oh wait, you can't, because he will kill you if you make eye contact.
Of course! He isn't as useful as he was, and he's Poison, but, who cares? Nidoking rocks! I would be a Nidoking fan if it weren't for Magnemite.
Arcanine
I never realized how much I liked him until Gen III because I started with Blue, and, he wasn't in it. Besides, big giant puppy! It's like a way less stupid Clifford!
Yea...but...is Fire Fang the best they can give us? (I don't like recoil moves), and his stats are all over the place. But, he is a giant puppy, and that's awesome.
Magnemite
It started with the sound...
...and escalated with the look...
Magneton
...then they combined...
...and became a national terror...
Dodrio
I overlooked Dodrio for a long time, but when I finally noticed, I realized he is really good. Fast, hits hard, and it has three heads!
Despite the loss of physical Tri-Attack, whats not to like? Its almost like a bird version of The Three Stooges if you think about it. Drill Peck spam ahoy!
Kingler
Giant Crab. Giant claws. Another beast...and it walks sideways! Weeee!! If it weren't for that pathetic Special Defense...
THANK YOU GEN IV SPLIT!! As soon as I heard of the physical/special split, Kingler was #1 on my mind. Who wants some? Kingler is ready to rock!
Hitmonlee
Makes a funny sound, has a funny 'face', and has a massive attack stat. It's hilariously devastating.
Another Pokémon I overlooked for a long time, but better late than never I guess.
Pinsir
HE'S A WALKING GUILLOTINE!! If he were real, I bet he would murder people for fun. You do not mess with Pinsir. Sir!
Oh yes. Thanks to Gen IV, he explodes out of the gate thanks to X-Scissor, and can commence a serious beat down.
Gyarados
A true Gen I beast. We were too young to care about stats, he just looked awesome. But heck, he had the stats anyway.
Well, he did, in Gen I, but, the split ruined him. He became a powerhouse without a STAB. Of course, Gen IV changed that. He was been promoted to the gym team and decimated the competition without even trying.
Porygon
The sound it makes was the real attention grabber, its awesome! Then appearance for another of course, the unrounded edges. And finally, the sheer hilarity of it all.
Oh yes, especially given we get Porygon-Z in the end. That and, how could you NOT like Porygon?? Oh wait...
Kabutops
Other than this thing just plain looking cool, it is a very potent fighter as well...
...not that I would know as I've never used one. It was useless until the Gen IV split, but now it is here to kill.
Aerodactyl
It's a flying piece of rock that screeches at you in battle. Of course it's awesome. Super fast, and pretty powerful.
I find places to put him in here and there with good success. His main problem is a lack of good Flying-type attacks though.
Snorlax
It's not so much him as it is that I have a bunch of Lv.147s...
To be honest, not really. It's hard to like him when hes playing for the other team (tanks). The original appeal to me was Lv.147. But hey, he is fat and lazy, and that's funny.
Mewtwo
Oh come on, not like you didn't see this coming. As a Gen I guy myself, he was the bees knees. Destroyed everything.
More legendaries have come, but still, to me anyway, Mewtwo is right there with all of them. Even Arceus.

Another awesome Pokemon given to you for free, and he doesn't have that nasty Flying-type to bother him with extra weakness.
Thanks to him only being seriously available in G/S/C, I've found him to be a "want what you can't have" and that makes me like him more. Didn't wear out his welcome.
Feraligatr
He was kinda useless until Gen IV which is a shame because he crushes small children with his jaws (as he eats them of course).
Finally got to use him properly in SS and he is all attitude.
Crobat
Goes from the most annoying bat in the world to a silent killer. Super fast, fairly powerful, very versatile.
As with some other Pokemon, I overlooked him for a while, but I would use him again. However, He doesn't fit into many places.
Xatu
No particular reason, he looks cool and he sounds cool.
Meh. He has stayed the same. Looks cool, I still like his cry, but don't have much use for him.
Flaaffy
SHEEP!!! It's a sheep, AND a Pokémon!! Him and Mareep, the look, the sound, just hilarious.
On a strict novelty only basis, oh yes. He is still a sheep, and he still sounds hilarious. But, when he evolves, it's all over.
Unown
I don't know why. They are so weird and funny, if only they were useful.
Yea, but, again, not useful. Maybe they need an evo of some sort..
Pineco
It's a pine cone, AND a Pokémon!! WHAT A HILARIOUS CONCEPT!! Seriously, Pineco is awesome.
Of course. I won't use one, nor its evo, Forretress, but, that doesn't mean I can't like them!
Steelix
Being the intro for Steel, Nintendo needed a good first show, and here he is. Looks awesome, sounds awesome, and is way better than Onix.
He will wall the hell out of physical attacks, but, he's not overly useful otherwise. But, he still looks and sounds good.
Scizor
Another crazy new Steel-type, and they pulled it off. Excellent stats (except Speed) but hey, if he did have more Speed, he would be unstoppable.
I always wanted to use one, but, thanks to a lack of good movepool, I couldn't. Whats this? Iron Head? X-Scissor? A Steel-type gym leader position? FATE.
Heracross
It has a giant horn on its head. Deal with it.
He is kinda silly and delivers a great beatdown, so I definitely still like him.
Sneasel
The phys/spec split brought Sneasel from the "useless" bin to the "awesome" bin quite fast.
Neither of his types are immediately useful in single play, but yea he is still cool.
Houndoom
Another Gen II type intro. This time, the Dark intro, and he fits the bill easily. Hellgar.
I never had a use for him, but, I've forced him into a few teams, he's too awesome to ignore.
Tyranitar
All my friends were still playing with Dragonite, but when I stumbled upon a Larvitar, I knew it was bound for greatness. Rock Slide to your Dragonite! And even a Crunch for Mewtwo!
Yes, but, with the resurgence of Fighting-type, more notably, special fighters like Lucario, he is in danger. But who cares?? He's awesome!

Blaziken

Unique type combo (at the time) and great stats. It's also the most useful Fire-type in Hoenn (well, that may be a matter of opinion). Flaming kick to the face. BAM!!
Oh sure. Infernape tried to dethrone, but failed (in my opinion anyway) so, Blaziken continues to work his magic.
Lotad
Lets see Uri Geller get mad at this thing.
Haha, in-joke. Oh Lotad. The best Kadabra ever.
Ludicolo
Sometimes I wonder what gives Ludicolo so much energy....remember kids, don't do drugs.
It's a great typing, I just wish he didn't lean towards bulk, but he is still funny, so it's ok.
Gardevoir
No, not like that, this is merely battle wise. She is like an Alakazam only, with Defense.
On the downside, shes a Psychic-type, and I'm not a big fan of them...but, she can still kick some tail (just don't search the net for pics of her, trust me...).
Breloom
The fact he evolves from a pod-like blob of grass is great. Then you've got his immense Attack and you win!
Oh yes. I've forced him into my Gen III teams, and even made a Gen IV battler out of him.
Trapinch
It's an ant with a huge head! HILARIOUS!!! And while its slow as molasses, its got a heck of a bite.
It is what it is, and it evolves into Vibrava who is pretty cool, but, not as cool as its final stage...
Flygon
A big, friendly killer. What's not to like? Very straightforward stats, and while im not a fan of Dragons, he's still great.
Doesn't exactly compete with Garchomp but, Flygon is still awesome. a great quaker in Gen III.
Armaldo
Powerful and extremely underrated. Most fossil Pokémon struggle to be overly useful, but, Armaldo shows them whats what.
Unfortunately, his awful Speed holds him back some, but, it doesn't mean I can't like him.
Walrein
A useful Water/Ice-type. Really came in handy in Gen III as a better-than-most Water-type. Anyone for B-Ball?
He's too slow and has a limited movepool to be seriously used competitively, but, in single play, he's still good.
Metagross
I know a lot of people like him, but, whats not to like? Massively powerful, few weaknesses, and he just looks awesome.
As a Steel-type leader, he has a permanent place on my team. I can't think of one reason to get rid of him. I even use him in my non-gym team sometimes.
Kyogre
I don't like legendaries, but Kyogre just strikes me as cool for some reason.
I don't have a use for him, but he is still cool. Somehow.
Rayquaza
I'm not much of a legendary guy, but he's awesome. Deadly stats, looks awesome, sounds awesome, whats not to like?
The sub-par defenses (compared to other legends) I suppose, but, who cares? Kill! Maim! Destroy!

Gen IV

Pokémon
Original sprite
Current sprite
Why?
Still?
Torterra
He's got a tree on his back, that's hilarious!!
Meh, I don't generally use Grass-types, and he is no exception. He is also immensely slow (as he should be, being a turtle), but, like Pineco, I still like him regardless.
Staraptor
Finally, a regional bird thats useful! Seriously, we haven't had a good early bird since Pidgeot, and even so, Pidgeot mildly sucks.
Of course, being regional, it's hard to use him anywhere else, but, I'm sure I'll find a way.
Garchomp
If you're surprised, then go away. I quite like the Ground-type so, it's really a no-brainer.
Actually, it is, as I really don't like the Dragon-type, but Garchomp tears down that wall of hate, and tell me to like him or die, so, you know..
Lucario
I don't like him for the same reason everyone else does, I like him because he was an invaluable asset to my gym team.
I don't run the gym anymore, but Lucario did such a great job I can't forget him.
Drapion
Now this guy can hurt, and he is hard to hurt. That is how you use a Poison-type.
Well, it may cover most of his weaknesses, it doesn't cover the fact Poison is sort of useless. But, this guy still rocks.
Weavile
It was awesome they did the phys/spec split and made Sneasel useful, and then they cranked it up to 11 and gave us Weavile.
As stated, still haven't used him, but when I do, I know it'll be awesome.
Togekiss
This might seem unlikely, but I know from experience she is a very excellent fighter.
One of the first Pokémon I trained, and it won me a lot of early battles.
Magnezone
...and after all those years, he's back, deadlier than ever.
Some people ask me if I'm happy with this new Mag-lution. How do i respond to that? Seriously?
Yanmega
An evolution of Yanma? Why should I care? Oh right, the usefulness, and awesomeness.
I initially trained Yanmega just to see whats what, I never realized I'd like him so much to keep him around. Nintendo did it, they finally made Bug-types useful!
Gliscor
Gligar was the first with the awesomely unique Ground/Flying combo, but he was useless, and then Gliscor shows up and wins.
While he doesn't hit as hard as some other Ground-types and his STABs are entirely TM based, he's still good enough to be a type outliner on my gym team, so, there ya go.
Mamoswine
Doesn't resist pretty much anything, but with 130 attack, who cares?
Can be tough to use (they have been known to level cities), but very rewarding.
Porygon-Z
Porygon is cooler, but Z has so much Special Attack, he could spare some for the poor. But he won't, he'll just destroy you.
Of course. It's a zany computer glitch thing that decimates everything it meets! Still doesn't have the charm of Porygon, but at least he is genuinely usable.
Gallade
I bet, if Pokémon were real, he would run into a party, cut all the girls' dresses off, destroy the furniture, and then take all the beer with him as he leaves. Awesome.
Oh yes. He takes the properties of Medicham, makes them less stupid, and here he is, ready to destroy.
Giratina
What is he? I'm not sure, but I can tell you that he's big, he's ugly, and downright devastating.
Again, I'm not a legendary guy, so, I haven't used him much, but, doesn't mean I can't appreciate his awesomeness from afar.

Gen V
[show]
Pokémon
Original sprite
Current sprite
Why?
Excadrill
Fast hard hitting metal mole. That is a recipe for awesome. Gen V is brand new, so its pretty hard to tell if he will go out of style or not. Currently looking good (although the competitive battling community might argue that).
Sawk
A no non-sense Pokemon with a clear cut objective. I like it. It kicks, it punches, it does it with moderate haste, and it doesn't waste any of its stats on special moves.
Leavanny
You wouldn't expect to see Leavanny here, but she does a lot of things right. She looks harmless, but packs a mean punch with decent, rounded stats, and has a slick movepool to use. You cant help but smile when you see her...until she cuts you in half that is.
Scolipede
Another Pokemon that may come as a surprise. I don't think I would ever actually use a Scolipede, but this guy is just plain cool. Fast, decent power, but look at him! And the sound he makes is awesome!
Krookodile
Deal with it.
Sigilyph
As I said in the above section. It looks, sounds, and acts ridiculous. Whats not to like? It's so hard to tell what it looks like, how can it get old?
Archeops
While Defeatist is annoying, when it ISN'T activated, Archeops is just insane. He looks like he tripped and fell into a bunch of paint, but don't get him mad or he will decimate you.
Galvantula
Another Pokemon that as soon as it was revealed I wanted it. It's so ridiculous! Cool type combo, great ability. Stats aren't stellar, but it adds to the novelty.
Chandelure
Two sides to the coin here. On the face of things, its an interesting concept. a Ghostly chandelier. That alone is pretty cool, but a staggering 145 Sp.Atk makes it a total beast.
Cryogonal
Another Pokemon I probably wouldn't use, but holy damn, look at this guy! If you were wandering around on a snowy day and you met him in a cavern, you wouldn't even bother to beg for mercy because you know he gives none...
Mienshao
A textbook Fighting-type with a bizarre appearance. Fast, incredibly powerful, but frail. That's all it needs to be. Making it look like a cat in long sleeves that can't sit still just means you won't be expecting the destruction.
Golurk
Big ghostly statue that causes earthquakes. What is this thing and why can it fly? You know what, it doesn't matter. It's awesome.
Braviary
AMERICA! F*** YEA! Unfortunately This guy is a bit outclassed by the hundreds of other birds just like him. However, do those birds have attitude, courage, AND BACKING FROM THE U.S.A.? NO THEY DON'T!
Durant
Haha, this guy goes under my "prob won't use, but still like" file. It's an ant in metal armor. There really isn't anything special here. What you see is what you get, but thats all it needs. That and a massive weakness to Special attacks.
Volcarona
Another type combo I like combined with absurd stats. It has the presance of a legendary without the tacky fan following.
Terrakion
Rock and Fighting is an excellent type combo, and Terrakion has the stats to use it, with gusto. And look at this guy, he doesn't even need a reason to destroy the opponent, I bet he just does it for fun.
Zekrom
Yea it is a legendary, but there's always one every generation that seems to catch my eye. A giant black beast spewing electricity is pretty eye catching if you think about it.
If you enjoyed all of that, they why not check out my least favorite Pokémon? -- MAGNEDETH
