A Grand Duchess (Japanese: グランダッチェス Grand Duchess) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that first debuted in the Battle Chateau of the Generation VI games Pokémon X and Y. This Trainer class is the highest possible rank given to the female player character after defeating numerous Trainers.
Diantha is the only other Trainer who holds this title and can be battled after the player has reached the rank of Grand Duke/Grand Duchess.
