The random Pokemon thingy
can I have it? I cant edit my userpage yet but once I can it might look nice there. - unsigned comment from Latias1290 (talk • contribs)

Template:HeldItems
It's lacking the two fields for those version-exclusive Pokémon from Diamond and Pearl. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 15:25, 4 January 2013 (UTC)
- To my knowledge this only applies to Magby/Elekid, whose pages already seem to have a different method of handling it. Is it needed? --SnorlaxMonster 11:44, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
- Glameow has Cheri Berry, and is exclusive to Pearl. Stunky holds Pecha, exclusive to Diamond. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 11:54, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
- Oh, I see. Version exclusives' held items, not version-exclusive held items. Updated. --SnorlaxMonster 12:18, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
- Not exactly. Changing "dp1" to "d1" for Mightyena gave me Soothe Bell instead of Pecha Berry. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 12:26, 5 January 2013 (UTC) PS. And yes, field has Pecha Berry (with 5%; while Soothe Bell has... 100%). Marked +-+-+ (talk) 12:30, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

About my new BerryInfobox
Any word on it? I'll probably need to work it back into a template though... --Abcboy (talk) 06:25, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
- I haven't gotten it approved (or tried to), no. Making the templates would be a good idea though. Maybe use
berries color
rather than the blue that's already there though? --SnorlaxMonster 11:44, 5 January 2013 (UTC)- I've changed all but the Berry locations template to use the Berry colors. To make it support both Berries exclusive to Generation III and those exclusive to Generation IV and beyond, practically all of them are completely collapsed. --Abcboy (talk) 18:04, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
- Something else: should we have Sevii Isle 1 redirect to Kindle Road or is that too much of a stretch? Also, should the list of routes reflect the index number ordering? --Abcboy (talk) 22:23, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
- Go ahead and put all the templates on their own pages; unfortunately only the Editorial Board can authorize userspace policy exclusions, so I suggest you ask one of them. Once you've given the templates their own subpages, fix up the Pecha Berry example you made; it's hard for people to really judge it if you haven't got it set up completely. As for Sevii Isle redirects, I doubt anyone would be searching using them so I don't think they're necessary. I don't like the number of things the List of routes in the Pokémon world includes anyway, but I suppose reflecting the internal ordering would be a good idea. --SnorlaxMonster 06:13, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
- Werdnae has given me permission to grant you an exemption from the userspace limit for splitting the templates off your page. --SnorlaxMonster 06:54, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you! I'll get that done soon. --Abcboy (talk) 20:22, 7 January 2013 (UTC)

- Editing a page multiple times but in different sections each time
- Not using link templates
- To use better grammar/spelling
- Having userspace content in the user talk namespace
- Adding something, removing it, then adding it back

- Not using link templates - sure
- To use better grammar/spelling - no, because this typically requires pointing out specific issues

B button glitch removal
I'd like to know your rationale for removing three B-button related glitches from the List of glitches in Generation V page. All three alter the behavior of the NPCs in some way or another that is not listed or mentioned in the games in any way by anybody. Chicobo329 (talk) 11:18, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
- Replied on the talk page. I had intended to anyway, but I was going to wait until I had done further cleanup of the page. However, I may have ended up forgetting, so thanks for reminding me. Anyway, I may have been a bit too stern in my edit summary; I know that there had been a debate about it, and it had been removed and readded before (well, a while ago), so I was trying to ensure there was not an edit war. --SnorlaxMonster 16:09, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
- I read the talk page and this. So you're just going on the safe side! I don't completely agree with the reasoning but I will respect your decision and I certainly start any edit wars over it. Chicobo329 (talk) 22:31, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
a question
I was wondering about adding a personality section to Zinzolin's page. There is certainly enough to work with there, but I noticed many villians do not have this section. My question is, should I add this section to Zinzolin's page, and possibly others? Icestar649 (talk) 20:58, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry about the late response, but we don't usually do personality sections on game characters. I don't think Zinzolin needs one right now, but maybe all game characters could get personality sections at a later time. --SnorlaxMonster 04:26, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
Thank you very much for your response. Icestar649 (talk) 20:39, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
G1event
Needs to include Pikachu; as it's Berry if traded from RB, and Light Ball if from Yellow. (well, at least it was that way in article before all the changes and splites) Marked +-+-+ (talk) 20:47, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
- Non-issue. It is already set up for Pikachu (as seen here), and was even set up at the time you sent this message. --SnorlaxMonster 13:44, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
Berryloc
Lacks third field for wilderness in Gen III (Oran Berry; Shuckle has 100%, Raticate* has 50% while Sentret and Zigzagoon have 5%). I would do this myself, but I don't want to break anything on that template. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 10:12, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
Pokémon Dream Radar
Yesterday when I was with my friend to whom I've been helping with the Dream Radar stuff, I've had six Items, Six Regular Pokémon, Landorus, and all Five Generation IV legendaries and only the Items and all 6 legendaries went during the first data transfer, so I don't know if more legendaries can be sent. -Tyler53841 (talk) 14:11, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah, I don't know what would happen if you had more than 6 legendary Pokémon. I'm fairly sure only 6 could be transferred, but I don't know if a new row is added. --SnorlaxMonster 14:14, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
- But in other news I do know that the amount of Dream Orbs collected is what opens the other extensions and with each member of the Kami Trio a lot more is needed for their extensions which will be difficult to pin down correctly. I mean I made two runs during the late night the previous night and I barely got things ready when I went to go meet my friend even with the amount of Dream Clouds I have. If you want you could mention the waiting time for the Dream Clouds since it starts at 45 minutes max, for all clouds to be ready with 4, 25 minute upgrades that increases it up to 145 minutes or 2 hrs. 25 min. I'll take care of the final beam upgrade coloring when I get to it, right now I am over 500 Dream Orbs. -Tyler53841 (talk) 14:23, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
- The regeneration time is just one cloud every five minutes. I had read on other sites that they are unlocked with total Dream Orbs (and it is implied in the manual), but it is better not to use other site's info. Unfortunately the amounts are not specified in-game or in the manual. --SnorlaxMonster 14:53, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
- Good idea, and by the way I was at least over 3,000 Dream Orbs when I caught Landorus, but there isn't enough proof to accurately estimate each amount without risking speculation. The unlock method for those extensions might just have to use just simple explanations. -Tyler53841 (talk) 14:58, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
- I just wanted to say thanks for the help and pretty much the Dream Radar page is mostly complete. -Tyler53841 (talk) 03:50, 14 January 2013 (UTC)

This just in. If you use five play coins from the 3DS, then it can be used to instantly regenerate all of the remaining Dream Clouds that still need to regenerate. Since I don't know much about how to get play coins it is the reason I am sending you a message since I recently got my 3DS and don't have much experience on these matters yet. -Tyler53841 (talk) 01:14, 17 January 2013 (UTC)
- Oh, that's not already in the article? I knew that you could do that. As for how to get them: the 3DS has a pedometer built into it; if you walk around with the 3DS on in your pocket, you can get up to 10 Play Coins per day. --SnorlaxMonster 02:18, 17 January 2013 (UTC)

Ghetsis as Royalty
How do you know that it's a translation typo?
Jdogno4 (talk) 01:11, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
- Because I got the Japanese text and translated it myself, and it says "loyal". So it coming up as "royal" in English must of have been a typo (you could call it a mistranslation, but I'd rather assume typo since royal and loyal are one character away). --SnorlaxMonster 06:36, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

Shiny chances
SnorelaxMonster, I was wondering If you could tell me what the chances of obtaining a Shiny Charmander and Shiny Eevee in Pokemon FireRed? Thanks,PokeCat3333 (talk) 12:35, 14 January 2013 (UTC)♥
- Refer here. While starting a discussion on another topic,do so in a new section.Auraguardian197 14:42, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
Two things.
1)As I mentioned earlier, it might be good idea to update the pages for some species not from Unova (the changed exp yield, as currently pages have the Gen IV yield as far as I know, while the EV yield list has Gen V yield)
2)Lum Berry - Not sure if to delete these wild, because none of these Pokémon are legitimately found within a game (with one exception, which can be left out as it's legit). It says "This is in the data. Don't take it out.", but do we list these impossible things (eg. Kingdra for Generation III and IV games) on species' pages? No, we list that here instead, including Berries. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 13:59, 17 January 2013 (UTC)
- We should have notes on List of Pokémon by effort value yield for the new values (I'm not really sure about that situation).
- No, I don't think we should list those held items on species pages. Not visibly at least—I don't mind if they're hidden and noted as being hidden because they are unobtainable. --SnorlaxMonster 13:43, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
Oops!
Thought I fixed that error, but you were right to undo that. I should look more carefully next time before adding back an error I thought I took care of... T_T It happens, I guess. Berrenta (talk) 03:33, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
Why?
Why did you change my userpage pic? Arceus101 (talk) 20:16, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
- The picture there was low quality and unused elsewhere. Since we don't allow personal images, it was deleted so I replaced it with another image of Pikachu (although the image I removed was not the original image anyway; Spriteit had replaced your original image with it when it was deleted for being a personal image). --SnorlaxMonster 08:34, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!!
Looks like 173penguin, who happens to be new at the website... well, I think you remember the story, as recently you undid many prejudicial edits by him to the Missingno. page. But he didn't understand, so did the same thing again, with a much bigger number of edits (now I've told him on his talk page that he shouldn't do that kind of edits), and now the whole top of the history page (except for a failed attempt of putting an end to that) is covered by less-than-begginer edits. Well, I don't want to manualy undo each edit (would clog up and... you know, probably skip at least one... whatever-it wouldn't be nice), so could you please, as a staff member, revert again to the last edit before all of that and put a quick end to this nightmare? TheOriginalOne 00:18, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
- I've rollbacked him. I won't leave him a message since you already have and there is another message about the preview button. Also, if you want to undo a lot of edits, rather than undoing them all individually, you can view an old revision then click the Edit tab; this then puts the old revision in the edit box, so you can just save and take the article back to how it was then. --SnorlaxMonster 01:36, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
Eevee
Figured it can't hurt to get a staff member's opinion on this, if you don't mind. :) Drake Clawfang (talk) 05:14, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
So, I made a template for 7-member stat comparison here, and tested it here, looks good to me. If it's satisfactory all that needs to be done I think is move it to a mainspace template. Drake Clawfang (talk) 03:12, 11 February 2013 (UTC)
- There were a few parameters using the wrong color (making it really hard to read Umbreon's name due to being in Water blue, for example), but I've fixed them. I also replaced all the
align=
code withtext-align:
andmargin:auto
. I like it and think it should be fine to use. --SnorlaxMonster 11:41, 11 February 2013 (UTC)
- Cool. So, do I make the template, or does a staff member have to? Drake Clawfang (talk) 13:05, 11 February 2013 (UTC)
- Also, it appears the bars are not aligning properly for the stats, that is to say, some of the 60 and 65 bars are the same length as the 95 and+ bars and vice-versa. Drake Clawfang (talk) 13:09, 11 February 2013 (UTC)
- Fixed that issue and implemented it. There's no rule that only staff members can implement templates, it's just better that they do if the change is controversial or widespread; if unsure, better to check with a staff member. Also, it's a good idea to check with a staff member first if you're inexperienced with templates (like I get the indication you are from your template). --SnorlaxMonster 14:29, 11 February 2013 (UTC)
- Aye, why I posted it here. :) I know enough about basic wikia coding (like, I understand how to change the colors and numbers on that template), but the more complex stuff like how you make those bars appear, no idea how that's done. Thanks for cleaning it up. Drake Clawfang (talk) 22:28, 11 February 2013 (UTC)

Missing Abilities
Two missing Abilities are quite disturbing me at the momement: Greta's Heracross's Ability, plus the Ability of the wild Electrode that can be encountered at the Battle Pike. I almost saw Heracross's Ability in one video when a Trainer sent out Gardevoir, but obviously it didn't have Trace, so too bad. I think it could be Swarm, since I don't notice any kind of attack boost during status conditions, but I can't be sure if I've missed something. Do you know some person, possibly in Bulbapedia, who could know enough about this, or at least offer some clues, have an access to the Emerald version, or at least something? Thank you. Sorry if I disturbed you in the middle of something important. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 18:31, 4 February 2013 (UTC)
- I wasn't even there, so you didn't disturb me. I have Emerald, but I've never really been that good at the Battle Frontier in Emerald—I got up to Noland and Lucy once each (this is mostly due to my team sucking). I don't personally know anyone who could do this, but all it needs is someone with a cheating device to go into the Battle Frontier and force catch them. The Electrode however I had always assumed would just have a random Ability due to being a wild Pokémon. Greta... it's fairly hard to test that without something like Transform, Trace or Skill Swap unless you're cheating. If anyone knows though, it's probably Jumpman16; he's got a reputation for being pretty experienced with battle facilities. --SnorlaxMonster 11:10, 5 February 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you so much. Even though it seems that he hasn't been active for a week or two, I'll leave a message on his talk page, and wait for the answer. Arigato! --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 16:18, 5 February 2013 (UTC)

Grammar dispute
Okay, we'll agree to disagree and it will be left on that note. Jdogno4 (talk) 00:47, 11 February 2013 (UTC)
- This reply indicates that you misunderstood the issue. This is not a matter of opinion, it is a mater of fact. And it is a fact that Iris's is just as grammatically correct as Iris'. Choosing to use Iris's or Iris' is a matter of opinion, but the fact that they are both correct is not. Here is the source Jo provided one your talk page, which explains that they are both correct. The Oatmeal has a comic where he points out both are acceptable.
- Now since it is a matter of preference as to which is used, the reason we use s's is that it is less ambiguous and easier to template. TTE always liked to point out that James' Carnevine could belong to one person named James or more than one Jame, whereas James's Carnevine belongs to James. Also, templates like
TP
andOP
all template in <name>'s <pokemon>, so it makes it far easier to template for the pages if they are titled with s's. --SnorlaxMonster 11:41, 11 February 2013 (UTC)
Tamato Berries on Route 5
Some users have been questioning the availability of Tamato Berries on Unova Route 5 through the Pokemon Breeder. I have received them from her in the past but I never thought it to be an issue where I'd have to get some video proof over it until now. Until I get them again from her and get some video proof (I am trying every day), what can I do to appease the others on the talkpage that seem to want more verification? Should I keep the Tamato information up or remove it? Chicobo329 (talk) 03:30, 11 February 2013 (UTC)
- It's quite possible the chances are based on ID number. Anyway, you can soft reset and get different Berries every time, so I tried that a lot but came up with no Tamato Berries. Until we actually get someone getting Tamato Berries again, it's probably best it gets removed. --SnorlaxMonster 11:41, 11 February 2013 (UTC)

Small question
Do we really need the redirect page Backpack? The command has always been called either BAG, PACK, or ITEMS. TheShinyRoggenrola (talk) 19:58, 9 March 2013 (UTC)
- Well, primarily it is probably for the item in the anime. It doesn't do any harm existing, so I'm fine with it. --SnorlaxMonster 01:42, 10 March 2013 (UTC)
- At the very least, I think it would make a bit more sense to move the redirect to Pack, which would coexist a bit better with the games. TheShinyRoggenrola (talk) 12:43, 10 March 2013 (UTC)
Template:Moveentry/Level2
Needs note for normal Kyurem. While the fusions learn the fusion moves at Lv. 43, normal Kyurem learns instead Scary Face. And since I can't edit it... Marked +-+-+ (talk) 15:50, 13 March 2013 (UTC) PS. Glaciate could use that note, though it's already mentioned to be normal Kyurem signature. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 15:53, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
Not really evident and "slightly opinionated"?
What do you mean by "not really evident" in relation to Arceus' behavior? Jdogno4 (talk) 05:28, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
What is "slightly opinionated" about Arceus'(M12) personality and characteristics? Jdogno4 (talk) 05:32, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
- "intelligent, heroic and benevolent" are all subjective, unless they are used officially. And I don't think those traits were overly evident in the movie either. --SnorlaxMonster 10:30, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
Redone GB Sounds article
Do you like it? Your template needs some improvements, though. The Dream World artwork should be an optional parameter and there must be a way to specify that an item is only available in a given generation. SatoMew 17:08, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
- Also, I tried performing the GB Sounds glitch on my European English HeartGold and it seems to be fixed. So you might want to check that out on the American English and other localizations to confirm if it is only present in the Japanese versions. SatoMew 00:51, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
- Overall I like your page; I hadn't really planned for it to be used on pages without artwork (most items have DW art, key items in Gen V have key item obtain sprites, and most other key items at least have some form of artwork like the Old Sea Chart). I've set up the template to include an exception for items with no art, but it doesn't look as nice anymore.
- I have done the glitch before in my Australian version (which is probably the same as the European one), and just tried it then and it worked. I had a lot of trouble figuring out how to get it to work originally (see User talk:TheOriginalOne#GB Sounds glitch, and that's not the only conversation we had about it), but it does occur. Chances are the issue you're having is the same as mine was: the glitch will not occur if you use the GB Sounds as a registered item; you must open the Bag and use it from there. --SnorlaxMonster 14:50, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
- I understand your concern about the template kinda losing its charm but it doesn't look that bad either, in my opinion. Now all you need to add is a parameter to specify that the item is only available/present in a single generation. In the case of the GB Sounds, this would instead read "Only in Generation IV" as opposed to "Introduced in Generation IV" (disregarding the fact that it is present in the internal data of the Generation V games, of course).
- I don't have the GB Sounds registered so I always called it from the Bag when attempting to perform the glitch. I also made sure no wild Pokémon encounters took place and the glitch still didn't work. Maybe it has to do with the tiles you Surf on between Route 20 and Cinnabar Island, since I always kept at least one tile from the border between the locations. SatoMew 18:49, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
- (Funny, I found a conversation that is somehow a repetition of what happened between me and SnorlaxMonster more than one year ago) Well, are you SURE you did turn on the GBS while SURFING at one of the locations, and off while STILL SURFING in THE OTHER ONE? Or are you even sure you didn't have in turned on in Cinnabar and Route 20 before trying to do this and since you had flown there for the last time? TheOriginalOne 23:23, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
- I followed the instructions from the linked YouTube video in the article where the glitch is documented. SatoMew 00:55, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
- Well, the simplest way I can get it to work is to simply go to Route 20 with normal music, open the Bag and turn the GB Sounds on, close the Bag and menu then open the Bag again and disable it (all while surfing); this results in instant silence. If that doesn't work, I don't know what the problem is. - unsigned comment from SnorlaxMonster (talk • contribs)

The European versions were the last ones. Or did you want to test the korean version? (it's older anyway) There are many glitches that are much more easily noticed than this one and that are not corrected tough. My discovery was just luck (a glitch that was just discovered 2 years after the game first came out), and this glitch isn't particularly important anyway. There are a lot of glitches registered in bulbapedia. Do you think we individually test each of them on all the versions of the same game, including the korean one, which is normally the last to come out? TheOriginalOne 16:04, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
- I didn't imply any of that. But the reason I brought it up is because certain glitches do get fixed in the localizations, like at least some of what I collectively call "overworld sprite repositioning glitches" (old man on the roof in Cinnabar Island, etc.) in Generation I. Template edit
Sorry, but I'm that kind of guy who just likes to rush into action, without going through some boring, long, time-taking, eternal discussions first. And besides, it was an OK edit, right? What do I need to do to make it approved? PLEASE!! I would at least SOMETIMES get to make some cool, BIG edits without someone getting in my way with details like this! --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 12:45, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
PS. Sorry about that, but, I'm just a little sensitive about these "nasty surprises" that Bulbapedia sometimes has to offer. So anyway, could you please answer what do I have to do in order to get my (completely mature and OK) edit back up again?
- I agree, things tend to sit in "discussion phase" for far too long on Bulbapedia (see all my proposed stuff in my userspace). I actually have another design of that template, and I think it's best to submit the idea and see what people think before making a change that affects a huge number of pages (and the template in question should have been protected anyway, something which I have now fixed). --SnorlaxMonster 12:47, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
- Your template suggestion was not bad, but I think that my version made it more clear which game had which leaders. So, if you could be so nice, please give my suggestion at least a thought, okay? :D --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 12:55, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
User talk:Marked +-+-+/Learnlist templates
Someone might wanna do something with this. It's lying there, untouched for a while. I am not sure if it's exactly... good (since I could miss a small thing that's damn important for fully correct functionality), but it might be good idea to update old movesets to the Gen V's standard. It'll make stuff less confusing.* Marked +-+-+ (talk) 14:20, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
Pokémon Mobile System GB stuff
Compatible software
We should make a table of compatible Mobile System GB software (not the Pokémon version, that is) but I'm not sure how exactly.
GS Ball event
The reason why I put the incomplete notification on the section for the events held by the PokéCom Center is because I'm not sure of the following:
- The true name of the minigame known as "Chieko Dice" as I don't see it being called that way (see below);
- The so-called "ten card quiz" may be incorrect as I see the quiz involving 5 questions for the April 2001 event and 8 for the May 2001 event, as described here and here, respectively.
Those links also refer to the minigame as 「チエコ」にサイコロ, with サイコロ being the Japanese term for the dice game. It also mentions that チエコ Chieko is from Azalea Town.
To put it simply, we do know there was a minigame involving dice and that there were quizzes but we're not sure on the minigame's name and the actual amount of questions in the quiz or quizzes.
Trade Corner info
It probably needs expansion based on this unused English text (taken from the text dump I have—it's probably missing internal placeholder strings; I also adapted the text and replaced the caps with the tag):

Naming conventions for glitch pokémon sprites
Recently I've been very confused about this. I read what was stipulated here, and immediately noticed that it wasn't being followed on most images. There were many different models on those uploads - how I wish autoconfirmed users could move pages on the archives just like in bulbapedia... WAIT! Before you start doing anything, let me tell you why am I really concerned on this matter, which is the defect of the current convention: what about pokémon with more than one front/back sprite? Maybe putting a "2" at the end of one, but... what about Missingno.? Its sprite depends on the hexadecimal! In addition, there are a few glitch pokémon that share the same dex number... on the same game! And a possible other defect: are there any glitch pokémon that can either be shiny or not?
So, would you agree with, before a mass move of pages, changing the convention to "[game]Glitch[hex][_b][_2].png"? TheOriginalOne 23:52, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah, I came up with that as a convention for the files to be moved to and to use when uploading new ones; I haven't had time to move them all to the new convention (and generally leave menial tasks like that to other people). Apart from Missingno., glitch Pokémon in the Generation I and II games should only have one front and one back sprite. The standard is how they appear in battle; other sprites just aren't used. I don't think the _2 convention is necessary. Missingno.'s extra sprites are taken from other parts of the game (Fossil sprites and the ghost sprite) and follow those naming conventions rather than the glitch ones. Also, Missingno.'s other forms don't have a static Pokédex number; they copy what the Pokémon loaded had. As for its forms in Yellow... they should have different Pokédex entries. I really wish I had a Gen I game so I could accurately evaluate these kind of things, but unfortunately I don't. --SnorlaxMonster 11:58, 13 April 2013 (UTC)
Nintendo Space World '97 flyer
I found this old flyer for Nintendo Space World '97 on an archived 2ch thread, I believe. Then reverse-searched the image to find a copy in better resolution and quality. It seems to be announcing the Mew event at NSW '97 but I'm not sure. And I don't know where this could be used so I'm asking you to take a look at it, if you don't mind. SatoMew 22:24, 20 March 2013 (UTC)
- Me and SnorlaxMonster worked together to do the event page revamp, and events are a specialty of mine so I should be able to help a little. Based on the Space World '97 text from the official site, it is defiantly a poster detailing the Nintendo Space World '97 Mew. Also the poster does say that at most 10,000 people will receive Mew. However most text is still very small for translation, but the bottom appears to be describing the postcard submission process. It should be noted there appears to be a discrepancy in dates though, the offical site says November 22 to 24, 1997 while the poster appears to say November 22 to 23, 1997. As for the location of the poster, I would say somewhere on this page but I can't say where for certain. Lady Ariel 00:14, 21 March 2013 (UTC)
- If the dates are inconsistent, it should be mentioned. Also, just a small correction: the referred number is 100,000 instead of 10,000 because 10万 is 10×10,000 or 104 (万 means ten thousand). It's the same situation with the Japanese name of Thunderbolt. SatoMew 14:41, 21 March 2013 (UTC)

Sky Drop Glitch
I tested the Sky Drop glitch on the Battle Subway's Double Lines in Black 2 and White 2 and the glitch activated. Not sure about link battles with other games though. Even if you think the glitch has been "fixed" we at least mention the glitch still works in the Battle Subway? --Relicant (talk) 13:06, 12 April 2013 (UTC)
- I tried in dark grass. I think it is worth mentioning that it still occurs in the Battle Subway though. B2W2-B2W2 link battles and the PWT are probably worth testing too though (and B2W2-BW link battles if it doesn't occur during B2W2-B2W2 link battles). --SnorlaxMonster 13:11, 12 April 2013 (UTC)

Added Gen I and II names. These are Japanese ones. I will also upload HGSS pictures (and BW pictures) after I get them. What about Japanese name of pockets? I guess I could get the Free Space since it's not a standard pocket. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 11:34, 13 April 2013 (UTC)

- Japanese names (Gen IV and V seems clear enough, if Gen II and III aren't, try pasting the screenshot from link in Paint). Would post yesterday, if not for the fact that it was too big to see things clearly and didn't had time to split into several (I didn't check Japanese HGSS or BW though, nor english B2W2 so no idea if it differs, though Gen IV has Status Healers from in-battle menu while BW retranslated it as Status Restore in; it seems this is English-only change unless I missed a small detail) The icon on Battle Bag can be in at least red (when checked on English version) and purple (when checked on Japanese one), no idea how exactly it works... well since this is done, I can upload bag sprites/looks, yay. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 14:55, 14 April 2013 (UTC) PS. HGSS done (well I would do that earlier but internet denied cooperation), now Unova games. Also, did you check the names I linked? AvailabilityGlitch template.
This template has sections for all generations I-V, but a split might be better for it. I'm thinking that the template should be split into two, one being Gen. I and II, the other being Gen. III-V. I think this because Gen. II and III cannot be linked together in any way, thus causing it to be impossible for a glitch to be related between them. What are your thoughts? --×Rsrdaman× 04:26, 14 April 2013 (UTC)

Number Disambiguation
I had started changing the number disambiguation pages to say Pokédex number instead of Regional Pokédex number since it mentions national dex as well, and ArcToraphim had undone my edits, so I asked him about it on his talk page, and he said that I should talk to a Bureaucrat about it before changing it back, so what do you think? -EVsandIVsaurs 20:13, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
Barry's templates
I filled Barry's page with the missing team templates, which turned out to take so much space, that there is no room left for templates in the page anymore, making some of the templates incomplete. The team templates take so much space that they won't even fit into a single page, so I'm being pretty helpless here. Would you know what to do? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 13:51, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
Stadium sprites
One thing I just noticed that bothers me: all the Pokémon that appeared in the Stadium games have their sprites from those games uploaded, but they don't fit into the Trainer templates. - Please do not name places to watch the episodes illegally. As for why, it's not a legal distribution channel, so whoever put it there decided not to bother with that part. If it were legal, they wouldn't cut the credits off. Werdnae (talk) 18:55, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
Legendary birds.
On their article it is said they are referred by this name... Was the term "legendary birds" ever officially used? If not, then we may do the same thing we did with muskeeters after their official name was revealed (using the official name when mentioning them, but putting a note in the article about the popular fandom nickname for them). Marked +-+-+ (talk) 14:33, 30 May 2013 (UTC)
- I don't think it's necessarily an official name for the trio. I feel like it's more him describing them (especially since official names tend to be capitalized). --SnorlaxMonster 14:34, 30 May 2013 (UTC)

- Certainly; thank you. When one mounts the Bicycle in Victory Road, the Bicycle music, of course, plays, supplanting the ordinary Victory Road music. I have found that if one falls through a hole in Victory Road, the Bicycle music will continue to play on the lower level, even though the player is no longer riding a Bicycle. The bike theme stops once the player enters and leaves a battle, and the normal cave music resumes. - Hey so I forgot I restarted my English Yellow version a while ago, so the file got swiped clean and I'm not as far as Victory Road yet. I finished the game in Japanese though so I went there and the Bicycle music didn't play at all! I went on and off the bike in the Indigo Plateau and outside the cave and it only played the cave/plateau music. I didn't hear the bike music at all. Very weird!! --ZestyCactus 22:09, 31 May 2013 (UTC)

Question regarding merchandise articles and pertinence
During my random paging, I had come across numerous merchandise articles, ranging from gashapon figures, to trading figures, to a few licensed toys. After a very quick search and look in the figures category, I noticed that there were no indications of the Bandai D-arts figure line. I happen to own one of the figures (Mewtwo) and would like to possibly create an article regarding that figure line, provided with proper sources and press releases, which I can acquire elsewhere.
That said, is there a specific protocol to merchandise articles? Would such an article be necessary? The D-arts line is relatively new, as the first figure (Mewtwo) was released in March, after an announcement in October. Blastoise and Charizard were also announced for the line. So, if you could enlighten me on the proper protocol for merchandise articles, it would be appreciated. Thanks. Trak Nar (talk) 09:42, 1 June 2013 (UTC)
- Basically, if it's officially licensed and produced in a reasonable quantity, then it would qualify for an article. The thing is that in most cases merchandise isn't widely promoted, and it isn't usually something people go out of their way to write articles for.
- As for how to format the article, I can't exactly describe it, but what I usually do is find an article on a similar topic and format the new article like that one (although often I then decide I want things a different way and edit the first article as well). --SnorlaxMonster 10:04, 1 June 2013 (UTC)
- Though I was able to import my figure through Big Bad Toystore, and others had used similar importers, as far as I know, the line was intended to be distributed primarily in Japan. However, a contact of mine did mention that an import store that he frequents had stocked the figures, so there is a level of overseas distribution. As far as I know, it is due to a licensing deal with Bluefin, which I assume handles the imports. I will need to double-check that.
- These figures are not necessarily mass-market merchandise, but rather licensed high-end collectibles. Mewtwo cost me around $60, and that was just after release. Pre-orders went around $50-60, and after-market values have increased to over $100. So, in terms of uniqueness, the line could qualify for an article on the grounds of it being marketed toward collectors, rather than children. The figures themselves are highly-articulated and average in size around six inches.
- As for the promotion, I would need to double-check on that. The line is promoted in Japanese magazines, as far as I know. What those magazines are, I cannot say for certain without further information from several of my sources. Trak Nar (talk) 10:13, 1 June 2013 (UTC)
Starter Pokémon template, Eevee Pokémon XD
I was on the Starter Pokémon page and I looked at the template used at the bottom

(and I hope posting that doesn't somehow bug out the site)
Anyways I looked at the XD portion and noticed it says Eevee can evolve into any of its Eeveelutions. XD is from Gen III and there were only 5 Eeveelutions around at the time. Shouldn't the template or whatever (I have almost 0 tech skills/knowledge) be changed to reflect this. At the moment it is kind of misleading. I would hate for someone to get a copy of XD and try to get one of its IV or VI Eeveelutions and get frustrated because they can't due to them not existing when the game was conceived. I'm not sure if you're the right person to go to for this, not even sure if your a staff member or have the power to change the template. Yamitora1 (talk) 15:02, 1 June 2013 (UTC)
- I don't even know why "→ Any Eeveelution" is on there to begin with. The other starter Pokémon don't list their evolutions. --SnorlaxMonster 15:05, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

- I think it was done like that because you're forced to evolve it immediately after the first battle or something. Not saying it should be put back, just that that was apparently the reasoning behind the initial addition of that. Werdnae (talk) 21:16, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

Bot, sock puppet?
I think WMULetha might be a bot or sock puppet. About 2 minutes after creating their account, they created their own talk page and are linking to their webblog. I Don't Know, I might just be paranoid but it seems strange they would know how to create their own talk page in less than 2 minutes, and their chosen user name seems a little...bottish. I thought it would be best to let you know about this just in case. cheers Yamitora1 (talk) 18:22, 4 June 2013 (UTC)

- Ok, glad that I wasn't being paranoid or baring false witness. is used to create a user's talk page...maybe we need something we can post on the talk page of suspected bots to bring them to the staff's attention, and for us normal users to help weed these bots out and keep the site and members safe. looking on the recent changes page, I see at least 7 names that look bot-like. Question about dub edits
Would dub edits be pertinent to character articles, if the edit is in reference to that character's dialogue? Or, are dub edits only pertinent in the media articles? I ask this because in the original Japanese dub of Mewtwo Strikes Back, Raymond, after his defeat, says in very plain English "OH MY GOD!" That was not the only instance of "Engrish" in the movie, as when Ash is told that the storm is too violent for him to cross the waters with his Pokémon, he responds with a forlorn "damn." Also, upon entering Mewtwo's laboratory and snooping around, when Jessie sits on the computer console, she utters a particular four-letter word. Would any of those changes in dialogue be worth mentioning? Or, are instances of "Engrish" in the original dubs usually ignored in articles? Trak Nar (talk) 06:43, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
- I don't see any problem with mentioning dub edits on character pages. I thought there was precendent for this, but the best I could find was Melissa. I know Mewtwo was quite different in the Japanese version to the English version. --SnorlaxMonster 13:31, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
The Uncut Story Of Mewtwo's Origin
Lol, I already had this kind of problems in the past, and since then I have been more cautious to avoid problems, but I didn't realize that a brief mentioning of y. would be a big deal (not even Wikipedia ha such strict policies), but if my message was wrong, than your removal of it was a good thing. Anyway, back to the main topic: I have the Mewtwo Returns DVD and the voice of adult Mewtwo in "The Uncut Story Of Mewtwo's Origin" seems to me Addie Blaustein's voice (she also voiced young Mewtwo), but it could also be Phillip Bartlett's voice (I am Italian and I haven't watched the whole first movie in English, just few scenes). What do you think? Do you recognize the voice? --Abcd (talk) 11:28, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah, we have to be strict on copyright violations, and certainly moreso than Wikipedia; Wikipedia has way easier access to many skilled lawyers than Bulbagarden does. We need to be extra careful, as we probably do things anyway that already violate Pokémon's copyright, and we just need to stay "in their good books".
- I'm not very skilled in VA recognition. I think the credits would be a better choice, although I'm not sure if the DVD does have credits after the short or not, or if there are credits somewhere else. We typically avoid guessing VAs by ear anyway, as we have communication with the VAs themselves and they get annoyed when voices get misattributed due to someone guessing by ear (although they are the DuArt VAs, so they are less likely to know who voiced characters in a 4Kids dub). --SnorlaxMonster 11:38, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
The DVD doesn't have credits after that short, the only credits present are after "Mewtwo Returns" (and they are just generic "Voice Characterizations by" and "Additional Voices by", without saying who voices who). What you said about guessing VAs by ear may be right in principle, but there must be exceptions: for example I wrote that the adult voice of Mewtwo is Masachika Ichimura at the end of the short, and I only knew that by ear; I am sure that someone that knows American VAs better than me can judge if the voice is Blaustein's or Bartlett's (in the scene where Mewtwo gets older his voice also get older, but it seems to me that it just deepens without changing much, that's why I think that it may be Blaustein). If other people follow our discussion, the problem could be easily solved. --Abcd (talk) 12:17, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
- For what it's worth, it sounds like Bartlett's voice, and the dub was made around the time that Bartlett was voicing Mewtwo. Trak Nar (talk) 03:23, 12 June 2013 (UTC)
Voice actor sourcing
I edited the Michele Knotz and Nurse Joy articles to include that Michele Knotz reprized her role as the flash back Kanto nurse, but they were undone and I was asked to source it. How am I suppose to do that? Yamitora1 (talk) 20:38, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
- The point is you can't just say that a character was voiced by a specific person without stating how you know that to be the case. Was it in the credits? Did the VA tweet about it? Is it on some cast sheet you have access to? You cannot just assume voice actors, as we are in contact with several of them, and people assuming voice actors results in misatrributions which bothers them. --SnorlaxMonster 04:43, 10 June 2013 (UTC)

A new section for every Pokémon page: type origin.
At first, um, hello SnorlaxMonster, and I don't know if I'm with the right person to ask this, but if I ain't, then please tell me who could help me. So to start things of: Every Pokémon has a 'Origin' and 'Name Origin' section. These sections mostly include speculation, and are some of the few places on Bulbapedia where that is allowed. But there is one more thing that I, and hopefully others, have really liked to see on Bulbapedia: 'Type Origin'! This would be a section which should include speculation in the same way as the 'Origin' and 'Name Origin' section, but this one would explain why a Pokémon has a specific type(-combination) and/or how a Pokémon is related to a specific type(-combination). So would would Tornadus's Type Origin explain that he is probably a pure Flying-type, because he is able to fly and has to go with Thundurus and Thornadus. But also that he is about windstorms, and the best type to represent 'windstorms' is the 'flying-type'. So Tornadus is actually the 'Windstorm-type' and the 'Being-able-to-fly-type', both of which are represented by the 'flying-type'. So he is actually the flying-type and the flying-type, so because Pokémon can't have the same type twice, he is a pure flying-type. Also Noivern, the 'Sonic Pokémon', is said to produce soundwaves with its ears. And soundwaves are actually vibrations in the air, so we again get the flying-type. And then Noivern is also a Dragon-like creature, so it also needs to be the Dragon-type. But Noivern is mostly about sound, so the flying type comes first. And that is why Noivern has Flying as its primary type. Then Gardevoir has the newly-introduced Fairy-type, because it is based on a Guardian angel. And angels would be represented by the fairy type. Also, some Pokémon own the Water-type, just because they are based on aquatic animals. Not because they actually have anything to do with 'water', that also should be noted. And it should also be noted if a Pokémon is the Fire-type because it is related to Fire itself, Magma, Lava, Heat, Stars, and so on. A reason to be of the Ground-type doesn't really need a Pokémon to be about earth, but also about sand, mud and clay! Jynx is an Ice-type, but not because she is made out of ice! However Regice is also and Ice-type but Regice IS made out of ice. So they got different reasons to be Ice-types! So how about it? Is it a nice idea to add the 'Type Origin' section to the Pokémon pages? By the way, thanks for reading the whole thing if you did... Nickvang (talk) 19:03, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
- I made a table for Type Origins on my Userpage, maybe it'll be of your interest. I hope we could add Type Origins on Pokémon pages in the future. And still, if I'm at the wrong place to talk about this, then please let me know. You didn't reply previous time, so I guess its OK to talk about this stuff here? Draft of a possible mainspace article
Hi. I noticed we have astonishingly little information about the Habitat List and it's spread out over a gazillion pages, so I wanted to make an article for it to centralize the information. I put together as much information as I could find in other Bulbapedia pages and my own experience with the game, and drafted what the article might look like in my userspace, but I don't know what the protocol is for getting it approved to the mainspace. I was hoping you could help me? Thanks! Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 00:05, 15 June 2013 (UTC)

Habitat List.
Le Japanese name here (I think, that's Habitat List opened in Japanese version). ...I should really learn Japanese. Also the article implies Poké Ball appears after you see/catch mons from that entire area, whereas area has separate Poké Ball for each of the 3 methods. I'd add that myself, but Internet decides to throw 503s at me instead of saving even though it works fine iin other cases. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 14:55, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
- I only just noticed this comment; thanks for the info! I updated the Poké Ball phrasing, added the Japanese translation (the hiragana translate as "Habitat" in Google Translate, and the last three characters are literally list in katakana, so I think it being a direct translation is a safe assumption even though Google Translate is normally terrible), and uploaded that image to the Archives and added it to the page. I hope doing so is okay copyright-wise; since it's a game screenshot, I believe whomever owns the site it came from doesn't have copyright on it, and we can use it under our fair-use-because-it's-a-game-screenshot clause, right? 4"4 Hy and other glitch stuff
Someone has just moved the page to 4!4 Hy. I can understand why, because of its in-battle name, but I think it's dubious, so I would never make that move myself, and I'm more in favor of the old name. What do you think? Should this be kept? Update: Now someone has moved it to 4 "4Hy! (notice the space...argh!) Update 4: Now someone moved it to 4!4=Hy, just because of that glitch block! Update 7: Was moved to 4 4Hy! HELP ME!!!
Update 2: Two other things:
- Could you please add
<includeonly></includeonly>
toProject GlitchDex notice
?
- Also, could you tell me if this template, which is based on

, would be suitable for use at the beginning of every glitch pokémon page?
Thanks.
Update 3: ...two other things:
- Should I consider a:File:MissingNo. Z Yellow.png another sprite of Yellow B8, and so change the Missingno. article according to that?
- I think I noticed a mistake that prevents us from using the move templates that we use in pages like this one: the template from the middle shows the minisprite for the pokémon with the equivalent pokédex number. This may be good with hybrids, but the problem is that when the glitch pokémon in question has a # higher than 151 the template will display pokémon from the next gen - and yes, I confirmed that it has nothing to do with the JGGlitch. And even in the other cases where the number is different from 000, the glitch pokémon might not always be a hybrid.
- Even more important than that, why are most of them marked as "000"? Is the article really that incomplete?
Update 5: I was posting move and deletion notices on glitch sprites that didn't follow the naming convention, when I noticed something weird: ♀ . and 'v's sprites are exceptions to the ones of the glitch pokémon that share the same games and #. Now the question is: to which new name should those exceptions be moved?
Update 6: Also, could you please move A to A (C0), as there's another A?
Update 8: And when is Five question marks going to be split? There's no point on keeping it.
Update 9: It would also be a good idea to add a display name option to GlitchPkmnInfobox
, under the other games equivalent title. What I mean is that, for example, in 94 h, it is mistakingly said "Equivalent in Yellow: $ (glitch Pokémon)", instead of just "$" (links to the other one). That's what I'm trying to get fixed.
I really look forward to hearing from you soon, so that issues will not continue accumulating. Thanks. オリジナル TheOriginalOne 17:17, 9 September 2013 (UTC)

Time
Fixed time, added evening, but I have no idea how that template works, since the "morning/day/night" repeats after 3 switches instead of 4 (oddly color one has the 4 switches and is quite easy to update)... and it seems to imply that in-game summer has morning from 3:00 to 9:59 when it's actually 4:00-8:59 (and even before I fixed it, it was 4:00-9:59, so where that 3:00 got from...). Marked +-+-+ (talk) 09:45, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
- Well, the first problem is that Template:Evening color doesn't exist, which it would need to in order to put into the template. Instead, I'll just fix the boundaries that were wrong. --SnorlaxMonster 12:22, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
Side series
Thank you for doing most of the legwork in changing all the infoboxes/categories/etc for the side series games last month. We still need an actual page for them and a corresponding template, so I took the liberty of Frankenstein-ing them together since they've been left undone. (User:Pumpkinking0192/Side series and User:Pumpkinking0192/Template:Side series) I based them on the Spin-off Pokémon games article and template, so they're not pretty-looking by a long shot, but they exist and are functional, which is a lot better than before. Are these ready for the mainspace, and if not, what can I do to fix that? (Unless there are already plans in place for something different to be done with side series-related stuff, in which case never mind about all this.) Thanks! Just because the pictures are Aromatherapy doesn't mean the information is wrong, especially when it's labeled with the same move underneath each language. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 19:04, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
- I don't think this one specific part can be trusted as it is clearly a mislabeling. The image depicts Aromatherapy, but the site says it "can learn Draining Kiss" in the caption underneath it. We already know there is a mistake in part of that piece of information, so I don't think we should trust it until the mistake has been fixed. (Also, Spritzee doesn't has lips, although Wooper can learn Ice Punch so that may be a redundant point.) --SnorlaxMonster 19:09, 12 July 2013 (UTC)

Okay, what about just my user page? --Abdullahi456 (talk) 22:28, 12 July 2013 (UTC)User talk: Abdullahi456
- Sorry to interrupt, but I can answer to that one. I saw your first talk page (you are intelligent: you hid the negative comments!) and so I know your problem. Due to that scheme of yours that involved doing random mainspace edits just in order to be autoconfirmed, they told you that you were "put in abuse". Being put in abuse means you can no longer edit any of your userspace (that means everything that has the
User:
prefix), until you prove you can make more mainspace edits than the userspace ones. That's what the "constructive edits" thing means. TheOriginalOne 22:36, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
First of all, that wasn't a "scheme" of mine. Yes my account was autoconfirmed and I did make a constuctive edit on Cacnea, but somebody deleted it for no reason. And what mainspace edits did I even do? If you're talking about the one that administrator told me about, I never did any of that. My IP address got hacked so it made it look like I was the one who made those edits when in fact I never did. They put me in the abuse group just because something happen to my IP address. I don't even edit pages on bulbapedia, I just read them. Don't try to tell me a schemer when you don't know your facts. - unsigned comment from Abdullahi456 (talk • contribs)
- Sorry, but I have no way of knowing exactly what was made by your account, as the changes were hidden by the admin. And please, can't you admit you did it? In case you didn't notice, the IP adress really identifies you, and unless the hacker used the same computer as yours, there's no hacker at all. There's no problem in admitting you commited a mistake, as nobody is perfect. Specially when you're a new user: this happens all the time. I have a bunch of them actually. And I didn't defend myself from them: I learned from them. TheOriginalOne 19:02, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
If it was me, I'd admit it. But let me tell you something, you see the history of my account? Check it and see the previous year in when I used bulbapedia. I haven't used it since 2010 and I only came back on it because I got an email from the one I used to confirm my account saying that I made some non constructive changes on bulbapedia. When I went on, I discovered my account wasn't logged on. Either somebody hacked my Ip address or somebody else went on my computer. I'm pretty sure it's the latter. I didn't do anything. Just because an ip address identifies you doesn't mean you can automaically point the blame at the real user. I did mistakes before on bulbapedia but I stopped. But he eventually authorized the use of this derivation. You can use (or slightly modify) it if you want, as the HP bar engine is the same. But please remember to replace my name by yours everywhere in the template, otherwise you'll have an HP bar referring to my talk page. TheOriginalOne 21:43, 17 July 2013 (UTC)
The Rank article
I noticed you proposed here that this article be split into three; one article for each game. I disagree with this. If you look at the length of each section, there is simply not enough information in each to justify giving them their own articles. For example, look at the Contest section. It consists of five sentences and two charts. In my opinion, that's not enough for a separate article. The Mystery Dungeon section is the longest in the article, and I think there's enough in there to split it off, but the other two sections don't appear long enough for separate articles. But if we split off the MD section, then I don't know what to do with the Ranger Rank and Contest sections. What do you think? Pokegen master (talk) 19:33, 19 July 2013 (UTC)

Mewtwo Awakened Forme
Ok, since you removed the info on the "Awakened" forme off the forme page, I guess you're the one to ask this?
So did gamefreak just decide to scrap the "Awakened" forme thing and went with Mega Evolution? They mention in all the trailers that game play footage is not final, and that it can change before release date.
Should/will this be investigated and noted in the article for Mewtwo, Mega Evoltuion and/or the Forme Difference Articles? I mean we wen't from fully accepting the Awakened forme to the point of having it on the articles, to now having Game Freak do a 180° and now instead we have Mega Mewtwo.
Also, Can/Should the Mega Evolutions be counted as a forme/sub category of forme? and Should mention of this move by Game Freak be made? Yamitora1 (talk) 05:50, 10 August 2013 (UTC)

RE: Korean name for base stats/EVs
Sure, I'll give it a go!
BTW, do you mean what Korean players call EVs (since "EV" is, IIRC, not technically an official term)? Or what Pokemon Korea is officially calling "Base Stats" on their version of this page concerning it? And once I find out, where would you like for me to place this info? Because apparently there is already a Korean term for it on the Effort values page... unless you just want confirmation? -- Nick15 (talk) 18:32, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
Is there a article that lists the registered trademarks from the Pokémon franchise?
Is there a article that lists all the known (R), (TM) and (C) of Game Freak and Pokémon like the newly discovered Pokkén and other items like Mega Evolution, which were trademarked at some point for future possible use by the franchise?
If not, would that be a article worth making sense it would be informative, and also provide a resource for those who barely know what a Registered Trademark is? Yamitora1 (talk) 14:17, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
- There is not. I know all Pokémon names are trademarked. I don't know how we would go about compiling a list though. I believe Pokémon Opal and Pokémon Topaz have been trademarked since at least DP (because I remember everyone thinking Platinum would be called Opal because of that, and then thinking Black and White would be Opal and Topaz). Also, don't forget patents like Patent US7762893 (although that's Pikmin, the point is still relevant).
- Copyrighted things don't work the same though, as copyright is automatic and you don't need to file for it (although you do need to renew it sometimes, but Pokémon is far too young for that). ™ indicates something is trademarked, but not necessarily that it is a registered trademark (which is what we find). ® is really the only one of the three you listed that is of relevance (registered trademarks). Anyway, I'm not a copyright expert, so I may have a few things wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's the way things work. --SnorlaxMonster 14:43, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
- I see, hmm well I guess it would work best to only list the non Pokémon names ® but I guess it would be too hard to compile a list like you said. Still, that would be a nice resource.
- On last quick question...Did HGSS have to be ® or did the ® from GSC carry over? I ask because I am rooting for a RSE remake and I'm curious how easily Game Freak could sneak that under the radar. That's another reason I was asking if such a list article existed, so I could see if any filing for a RSE remake was on there. Yamitora1 (talk) 16:52, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

- I'm not entirely sure I understand the question. I think what you're asking is for a way to DEFAULTSORT as "Imakuni, Tomoaki" but sort in one specific category as "Imakuni?"? DEFAULTSORT is literally just that—the default; if you specify a different sortkey for any category, it will use that instead. --SnorlaxMonster 20:09, 23 August 2013 (UTC)

Error to report! Ground neutral on Fighting?

Distorted images
Hi I'm not terribly good at editing and I noticed a few of the main Pokemon images do not have the correct dimensions causing them to appear squished.
Manaphy, Arceus, and Victini are like this, though there are probably a lot more. Bioness (talk) 18:02, 30 August 2013 (UTC)
- Virtually all of them are (or were) like that. The reason is that the Bulbagarden Archives (where the images are stored) doesn't always instantaneously sync up with Bulbapedia. The admins have changed all the Sugimori art on the Archives to a square aspect ratio to make them uniform, and Bulbapedia recognizes the changed dimensions but not the image itself, so it's stretching the old versions of the images to fit the new dimensions. The images will eventually properly sync on their own. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 18:21, 30 August 2013 (UTC)
Bulbanews article about split-second Pokémon information
Hello Snorlaxmonster, I noted you created the Bulbanews article about the Pokémon seen for a split-second in the Pokémon direct. However, it states: 'Due to the extreme brevity of its appearance, it appears to only be included by mistake.' while there isn't any note about what is said at the time the Pokémon appears: During a battle, I think there will be a moment'. Could the article please state this is a possible reference to the split-second moment the Pokémon appears in during the battle? Nickvang (talk) 14:53, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- The time at which it appears is mentioned in the second paragraph. --SnorlaxMonster 15:08, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- SnorlaxMonster, I think he is trying to say that the mistake was intentional, as it is a reference to the split-second in which every pokémon enter a battle. To the user, if that's the case: The problem is that if that was their intention, they would at least refer the pokémon. I viewed the Direct (didn't even notice the split-second), and I can assure you they didn't do so. And even if they wanted to reveal it without other references, why would they just show it for a split-second? It wouldn't actually be a very adequate strategy. Even if they referred it. オリジナル TheOriginalOne 15:19, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- I understand. However, this reference ('During a battle, I think there will be a moment') could still be noted in the article. Then people could decide for themselves wheter they think it was intentional or not. Nickvang (talk) 15:23, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- 'During a battle, I think there will be a moment' - I'm sorry, but I don't understand what this means. If you're trying to say that we shouldn't assert that it is a mistake, I've intentionally left it as "appears to only be included by mistake". --SnorlaxMonster 15:37, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- The Pokémon appears during a battle at a(/one) (short) moment. That is the reference I'm mentioning. Could this reference also be mentioned in the article? Nickvang (talk) 15:42, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- Still not entirely sure what you're asking. Is this what you meant? --SnorlaxMonster 15:46, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- No, 'During a battle, I think there will be a moment...' is a line said by one of the persons that are talking in the Pokémon Direct (or actually it's the translating voice-over), just before the split-second moment with the new Pokémon appears. Could this be mentioned in the article, please. Nickvang (talk) 16:04, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- Still not entirely sure what you're asking. Is this what you meant? --SnorlaxMonster 15:46, 4 September 2013 (UTC)

Just what I tought. What about checking what he says after that? He's definetely talking about something else. The rest is just decoration. オリジナル TheOriginalOne 16:09, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- Of course he said something after the moment the Pokémon appeared, otherwise it wouldn't be a hidden reference, but just an invitation to pause the video. And by the way, you can say the line after the moment without needing the one before the moment for it to make sense: 'When a players feelings seem to actually go into the game and combine with their Pokémon, that's when Mega Evolution happens'. You see, you could take the lines after the moment as seperate of the referencing line before the moment! Nickvang (talk) 16:17, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- I didn't say he stopped talking. I was saying that what he said next wasn't going to be any reference to the accidentaly revealed pokémon. I remember very well the moment that you just referred on this reply, and I see no reason for it to be a reference to the mysterious pokémon; instead, that's a reference to the fact that at that moment Venusaur was mega-evolving. If you still want to say the opposite, please make your answer clear. Thanks. オリジナル TheOriginalOne 16:28, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- That's because it's an hidden reference. He says something, pauses, and then he says the rest. In this specific case: He says something that is a reference to a very short appearance of a new Pokémon, then he pauses and the Pokémon appears, and then he says something of which people will think that it's just him finishing his line. Instead of finishing his line, he was actually talking about something different. As he is now talking about the Venusaur Mega Evolving, while he was talking about the appearance of the new Pokémon before that new Pokémon appeared. And I am clear. No thanks. Nickvang (talk) 16:38, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- If your way of thinking points to that, then please be aware that it's probably rare. I'm not saying it's wrong, but independently of your evidence, we can't really prove that. What will be the problem with such detail not being added, anyway? オリジナル TheOriginalOne 16:51, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- Okay, now I think I understand what you meant. --SnorlaxMonster 16:52, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- But the sentence continues. He talks about the relationship between the bond with the pokémon and Mega Evolution. I still don't see the thing. オリジナル TheOriginalOne 16:54, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- It is literally only there for a few frames. It is only visible the moment it cuts to the game footage. To screencap it, I went from Masuda and just play/paused as fast as possible until I saw it. As for the sentence continuing, it's to point out where in the video it occurs, not what Masuda said. --SnorlaxMonster 16:59, 4 September 2013 (UTC)

Synopses: Templates and Categories
Hey, SnorlaxMonster. I was wondering if you could make four edits or so to two templates and categories. Categories Episode articles with incomplete synopses and "Book articles with incomplete synopses" should be moved with the links in their text pointing to the correct templates. In addition, and the main reason I am asking this, templates Incomplete plot
and "Incomplete synopsis book" should have their code adjusted to match the moved categories, since they are protected and cannot be edited for good reason. Thank you for your time, --Super goku (talk) 08:11, 8 September 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah, I'm trying to work out whether it would be a better idea to make it "Category:Articles with incomplete plot summaries" or separate ones for anime episodes, manga chapters, and books (games potentially as well). I need to discuss this with other staff first, but I've moved Template:Incomplete plot to where it is now so that it can at least be relinked when people update articles. --SnorlaxMonster 08:23, 8 September 2013 (UTC)

As you were the one who tagged it for deletion discussion in the first place, I thought it would be appropriate to ask you about this... since it's been over 2 years since the tag was added, no particularly strong opposition to deletion was given, and the page isn't even up to date with the anime at this point, would it be fair to finally delete the page? Since the pseudo-legendary Pokémon page is protected, could you possibly add a few things for me?
- Under the initial header, Goodra needs to be added to the template list. I've coded one up in my sandbox (I'd have used Sugimori art for all of them, but Goodra doesn;t have that yet).
- Under the "Users" heading, Shauna and Diantha both use a Goodra in one of their teams.
- Under the "Trivia" section, there's a line that reads:
- Every pseudo-legendary Pokémon is immune to at least one type: Dragonite to Ground, Tyranitar to Psychic, Metagross to Poison, Salamence to Ground, Garchomp to Electric, and Hydreigon to Psychic and Ground.
- However, Hydreigon's immunity to Ground-type moves is due to its Ability, Levitate, rather than due to its type.
- Every pseudo-legendary Pokémon is immune to at least one type: Dragonite to Ground, Tyranitar to Psychic, Metagross to Poison, Salamence to Ground, Garchomp to Electric, and Hydreigon to Psychic and Ground.

I do not know if you are aware, but we had fields capitalized due to how it appeared on the flying map and the town map. I am not sure which one we should default to, but I think this change warrants discussion, as we had specifically already chosen the town map over the item descriptions. MaverickNate 18:13, 1 November 2013 (UTC)
- I know it was at that location because of the Town Map, but the Town Map capitalizes everything in the "features" section regardless of if it should be or not; the Town Map's features section is not an appropriate standard for determining capitalizations. --SnorlaxMonster 16:29, 2 November 2013 (UTC)

Hey SM,can you tell me how the encounter rates are calculated for use in bulbapedia and how they're classified into common,rare,etc.?--Auraguardian197 12:09, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
- If the table on a location page only mentions "Common", "Uncommon", "Rare", etc., that means we got the data from a guidebook and don't actually know its specific encounter rate. On Pokémon pages, it's an arbitrary value that I hate and think should be removed (but don't go doing this, as I haven't discussed what to do with that with other staff yet). --SnorlaxMonster 12:13, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
- I saw some some pages listing the encounter rates as ”unknown” (for B2W2). So should I leave them be or is there any other way to get encounter rates from the games themselves. --Auraguardian197 12:20, 3 November 2013 (UTC)

Catch rate
In G5, there are three checks instead of four. Wouldn't that affect the chance to catch Pokémon? (1/4^3 is about 1.5% or something, for example.) Uploader (talk) 19:32, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
Wondering about epicodes for Pokémon Tales
It was suggested to me that I find a staff member to query about possibly renaming the Pokémon Tales book articles using epicodes. I didn't see anyone who jumped out as the perfect person to ask, so I chose you, as a staff member I recognize as fairly active. So what do you think, should the books use epicodes? Or else can you point me to someone better to ask? Tiddlywinks (talk) 06:29, 5 November 2013 (UTC)

Just a Heads-Up
I've replied further here. Is a cache dump necessary? Also, the reason I proposed the TM data get the same treatment (again, exclusively in this case) is because that data will never change again unless Headbutt gets another TM in a later generation, and we can address that then. It's another 11,000 bytes claimed by doing that as well. CycloneGU (talk) 07:12, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
- It finally went through. Amazing that all I was doing was adding a number to a table. *laughing* If the blank result keeps occurring however, then we may need to claim more space somewhere. Thanks for getting that emergency edit in. CycloneGU (talk) 07:22, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
Official source for Mewtwo in M16
Can I have an official source that says the Mewtwo in M16 is different than the one in M01 and Mewtwo Returns? The idiot reviewers at Amazon don't believe me, and are one-star-rating the movie because the story and voice of Mewtwo is different. Thanks. Pokegen master (talk) 18:17, 7 November 2013 (UTC)

I've been in abuse for too long.
Hey Snorlax. I was about to make this request to MAGNEDETH, but he was no longer a bureaucrat. And after checking the list of rights, it seems that the only kinds of users that can remove people from abuse are bureaucrats and senior admins, and Mag is now a vice-webmaster. Well, enough talk about him. I was going to talk about me. I've been in abuse for three and a half years. I was only a beginner when I first joined Bulbapedia. Bulbapedia was the first wiki I've ever edited, so my userspace abuse was just a beginner's mistake. I've had a lot of practice in Wikia. While I'm aware that there are some people here that don't like Wikia, I still learned a lot. And recently, I've been contributing a lot of XY related stuff in the mainspace of Bulbapedia. Guess who was up all night completing List of Pokémon that appear in every regional Pokédex? I did! That was real dedication to stay up all night past my bedtime just to add Kalos Dex numbers to the list. And also, my userpage is very outdated. I promise I will only edit my userpage once a month, and have at least 10 mainspace edits between userspace edits. And I will check the preview of my userspace at least twice before publishing. If I make a mistake on my userpage, I will wait the next month before correcting it. I will not abuse my userspace privilages and that is a promise. So can I have them back? A few things
Digit separator
I'm not sure of where has this discussion been held here but the international standard dictates that the thousands separator should only be used for numbers starting in 10000 (thus rendering it as 10,000 or 10.000). Numbers from 1000 to 9999 should remain as is.
Character names
Although the general consensus in the fandom is to call these characters "Leaf", "Kris", and "Silver", they are by no means their official names, thus I believe that Template:Unknown name should be added to their articles. Before doing so, I'd like to know if there's any restraint or objection against the addition. SatoMew 23:26, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
The sup/md template and Gates to Infinity
I noticed the
template isn't set up for Gates to Infinity yet. Seeing as the template is protected and you were the one who updated it for the WiiWare games, could you update it to include Gates to Infinity? (Or should I be using something else? I can easily see myself missing out on something like usethisforgatestoinfinity
) Affluefant(talk) 10:24, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
- Done. Just use "GtI" as the parameter. I also made the template case insensitive, so you can input it as "gTi" if you want. --SnorlaxMonster 11:57, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
Links to voice actors
Hello SnorlaxMonster, I noticed that you undid my edit to the Pokémon Origins page, saying that the voice actors may get pages of their own at some point. From what I've gathered, however, voice actors will only get their own page if they voiced at least two major characters or several (at least 7 would be a good number) minor ones. Those who haven't don't deserve their own page, or they'll be made into redirects. I needed to place the links in the table so that people won't make pages for them right away. If you feel that you should justify your edit though, I'd like to hear back. Thank you! ☆GamerGeek☆ 13:30, 18 November 2013 (UTC)

Party template update
Hey Snorlax, I think we need to update the Party template because there are two major tag battles in Kalos that neither trainer had three Pokémon. The current template made it seem like Trevor owned Tierno's Corphish and Celosia stole Bryony's Liepard. I asked about this on the template's talk page but got no reply and the template wasn't updated. So I thought I might ask someone more directly. In my comment on the template talk page, I wrote out the source code and added the possible variables for the "Pokemon" parameter: 1+1, 1+2, 1+3, 2+1, 2+2, 2+3, 3+1, well you get the idea, right? While 3+1 would work similar to 4, 1+1 and 2+1 would give the space in the Poké Ball icons and show ownership better by putting Bryony's and Tierno's Pokémon in the appropriate color. I've shown an example of how it should look in my comment on the template talk page. If you found an error in my coding, feel free to correct it. SeanWheeler (talk) 00:29, 3 December 2013 (UTC)

Ice Punch trivia
If the trivia on Ice Punch stays, then we should re-add the trivia on Guillotine that several Pokémon without pincers can learn Guillotine despite the in-game description stating its "A vicious, tearing attack with big pincers". --The Truth aka Relicant 14:12, 7 December 2013 (UTC)
- I think that's reasonable. --SnorlaxMonster 14:36, 7 December 2013 (UTC)
- But... those are both against our trivia policy. We don't do trivia that points out discrepancies between game mechanics and flavor text, because it gets really opinionated really fast. I don't see why either of those should be kept. I'm really confused here. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 16:40, 7 December 2013 (UTC)
- To my knowledge this is the only trivia policy we have, and that isn't official nor does it mention such things. I think it is reasonable to note that a Pokémon can use a move despite not having the appendage or characteristic that is obviously necessary for its use (which is currently done for Iron Tail, Glare, Ice Punch and Guillotine, from a quick check). --SnorlaxMonster 16:54, 7 December 2013 (UTC)
- As far as "obviously necessary" goes, the Awex line and Pawniard lines both have pretty obvious blades on their bodies which one can easily imagine being employed as a guillotine. If you must stick by the "pincer" part, though, I don't really have a problem imagining Pawniard/Bisharp using the blades on both of their arms in a pincer fashion; Axew, though, would have a pretty tough time using its tusks like pincers. Hiroyuki Baba
On Maury's page, there's a red link for the voice actor of his Pokémon, Hiroyuki Baba, a host from Pokémon Sunday. According to Project: VA's requirements, Baba's not notable enough for his own page. Wild held items.

You may need to update the template to reflect that, since "BW=[item]" makes field empty. Uploader (talk) 13:42, 11 December 2013 (UTC) PS2. There's also fact that while most of changes are either Pokémon losing item or getting it in another, unused slot, few got item in the same slot as earlier (eg. Grimer has a new item in the 5% that was used in BW
while Roselia now has new item for 1% while the old one is now 5%oh wait, nevermind). Uploader (talk) 13:51, 11 December 2013 (UTC)- So I've added some functionality to do that. Snowbelle City Gym Image
I was wondering, I have some images of the Snowbelle City Gym that I took in game, but I'm not sure if they're good enough quality to upload. I thought at the least tho, one of them could be used until a better image can some how be acquired.
More or less they're the same quality as the Battle Chateau image. They look fine zoomed out, but the more you zoom in the more low quality artifacts like blurry pixels can be seen.
Would you like to check them out and see if they're ok enough. Either way I'd have to go through you to upload them to the archives.
The last two were taken after beating the gym, so the leader and his...assistant? are in front of the gym seeing my off. Yamitora1 (talk) 00:22, 29 December 2013 (UTC)

Treasure hunter
I don't want to edit war, and if you decided to change those pages I don't forsee being able to change your mind, so I asked for a second opinion (third opinion?). You can read my stance there and respond with whatever points you feel are relevant. Tiddlywinks (talk) 07:02, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
- I like having met locations correspond to the correct page. Obviously I can't with PKMNBreeder (which is where you get the Happiny Egg and what the Treasure Hunter is called if you trade Larvesta to B2W2), but I like to whenever possible. That minor character only has a conjectural name, which this one is official, so I don't see the need to redirect to Route 13. The Larvesta Egg "Treasure Hunter" is an actual possible piece of location data. I'm currently finishing off the List of locations by index number (Generation V), and it is far more useful to have Treasure Hunter redirect there. I'm happy to see what Dennou thinks though. --SnorlaxMonster 07:06, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
- I see, I did look for something that was actually linking directly to one of those pages and there wasn't anything. I can understand wanting that...but if that's the only place the "Treasure hunter" location will be linked from, you could also just do like
Treasure Hunter
. My concern generally lies with actual usability, and there is just so very little for the "location". People might click your link, but I believe it would be a very rare person who would want to search "Treasure Hunter", the "location". Tiddlywinks (talk) 07:21, 2 January 2014 (UTC)- Sorry to butt in, but couldn't this be solved easily with a disambiguation page directing searchers to both treasure hunters? Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 07:39, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
- Actually, I changed my mind a bit. Redirected links in pages are bad. I believe it is policy (or something like it), but otherwise I personally hold this to be true. If you want to link to Treasure hunter, I believe there should be an actual page there (with comprehensive info about that "location" and only that); otherwise, link to whatever's actually correct/relevant. Redirects should be for searchers, not for linking to. Heck, you also just made a Distant land redirect, but didn't actually use that redirect link on the locations page; you made the actual link go to Orre. So I'm changing the Treasure hunter link on the locations page.
- And I suppose I'll make the Treasure hunter redirects into disambiguation pages. If I'm being entirely neutral, I suppose that's most correct. Tiddlywinks (talk) 17:48, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah, you're right about not linking to redirects. They should go directly to the correct pages. However, you did make a good point about it not being clear why the redirect leads there, so I think it would be best to send Treasure Hunter to Pokémon Egg#Eggs available 4 instead (and Traveling Man from Gen IV to Pokémon Egg#Eggs available 3). I'm still not too sure about a disambig page though, because he's never officially referred to as the "Treasure Hunter" and I don't think people know that man by that name. --SnorlaxMonster 18:09, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
- Sounds reasonable. I'm not sure you meant "on the locations page", but I think it'd be weird to handle the redirect/disambig one way and the link in the list another. And the Pokemon Breeder in Nacrene applied just as well if not better, since "Breeder" wasn't even in the page text for Nacrene City, so I changed that as well. Tiddlywinks (talk) 18:42, 2 January 2014 (UTC)

Gen VI locations' index numbers
Is there a way in-game to find out what index number corresponds to a location in X and Y? If not, what did you use to get the numbers for the List of locations by index number (Generation VI)? Glik (talk) 03:41, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
- I saw you were on, so I just wanna poke at you, in case you missed my question. Glik (talk) 03:13, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
- Basically, they were found by sniffing the packets sent during a Wi-Fi trade. Since we know the Generation VI Pokémon data structure (which is virtually the same as the Gen IV and V ones), we know which bytes correspond to the met location. Here's a spreadsheet someone else compiled with them. I never actually got any index numbers myself. However, the method that was used to obtain these index numbers was patched in Version 1.2, and since online interaction is required to get them, it can no longer be used.
- There is another way to get the missing index numbers though. If a Pokémon in Gen V has its "game of origin" set to X or Y, when it is sent via Poké Transporter the game will recognize it as a Kalos-obtained Pokémon (with the blue pentagon), and its met location will be converted into the Gen VI location with the equivalent index number. Using List of locations by index number (Generation V) as a reference, it would be possible to complete that list (once Poké Transporter is more accessible).
- Also, due to the Gen V to VI conversion that I mentioned earlier, I also know why all the locations (except Link Trade) are even numbers. The odd numbers correspond to the location subtitles, so 00075 is "Brun Way" and 00135 is "Zubat Roost"; this is just blank for locations without subtitles. I don't actually have access to Transporter, but this is from what I've seen other people do.
- Locations that I know of that are missing from the Gen VI list: Prism Tower, Shabboneau Castle, Lumiose Station, Kiloude Station, Ironworks Chamber, Blazing Chamber, Dragonmark Chamber, Flood Chamber, Radiant Chamber. --SnorlaxMonster 03:50, 14 January 2014 (UTC)

Syntax: usage of "typing" in reference to a Pokémon's assigned types
I asked Maverick Nate whether "typing" is okay to use (he said: yes, but it often has a better equivalent), and he pointed out that you have a very interesting page on Pokémon Syntax. Your syntax page doesn't quite address the kinds of cases where "typing" might be used, so I wonder if you have a particular opinion or suggestion on the usage of "typing"? Thank you for letting us add the Mega Lati twins info to the Megas page. That's one step closer to ending the massive dispute over the hidden Pokemon I've been having with some of the higher members. I'm glad that you're really reasonable about this kind of stuff.----BigBadBatter 23:27, 23 February 2014 (UTC)
- I discussed it with the staff, and that's the conclusion we came to. It wasn't just me (although I was the one that pushed). --SnorlaxMonster 03:12, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
Why were the Eon Twins added to the Mega Evolution page?
Why were the Eon Twins added to the Mega Evolution page as unreleased. They haven't been confirmed to be able to Mega Evolve, have they? Yamitora1 (talk) 08:09, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
- We have sufficient evidence from reliable sources that they can. However, we do not currently know if they will be released (e.g. the Azure Flute), so are being careful about how we present that information. --SnorlaxMonster 08:26, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
New template issue
I have noticed that Bulbapedia has started using a new, modified Trainer Pokémon template. While I don't have anything against that, quite the contrary, I just discovered ONE major flaw: the Gen. II template wants to display the bag sprite for held item the Pokémon is holding, which I think is natural from Gen. III onwards, but since Gen. II had several items that never appeared outside of Gold, Silver, and Crystal, and therefore have no bag sprites, we now have a lot of red links that cannot be filled. Do you know anybody who could fix this? Possibly make it as it was; so that the template for Gen. II doesn't show the bag sprites? Thank you in advance. :)--FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 11:33, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
- The only items I can think of that could be held but don't have images are the Berserk Gene and Gen II Berries; are either of these used in a Pokémon template? --SnorlaxMonster 11:37, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
- Looks like Kogoro removed the Bag image anyway (but I am interested where the issue was occurring, so tell me if you know of an example). --SnorlaxMonster 11:38, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
- My pleasure. I first found the problem occuring on Violet Gym's page, so I assume it was in all those sort of fixed templates. But now that everything's fixed, I'm not worrying about it anymore. Thank you for listening. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 12:01, 25 February 2014 (UTC)

RE: Focus Energy
Thanks SnorlaxMonster. That seems to be the explanation Tombstoner wrote on the Glitch City wiki, too. I notice that the Azure Heights article may still have an error. I cheated to battle a level 100 ▶ A (that has base 178 speed) with a level 3 Pidgey with infinite HP, Focus Energy and Slash. ▶ A should be many times faster than Pidgey, but I was still able to get a critical hit with Slash. Either that was an error, something about me cheating made the game think ▶ A was not that much faster, and/or the Pokémon has to be even faster (at level 100 ▶ A will have over 360 speed and my Pidgey has 8), or something else. For what it's worth, I tried it with a level 100 Jolteon too, and got the same result. --Chickasaurus (talk) 15:54, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
- Update: I notice that Crystal_ looked at the Pokémon Red disassembly and found that the game jumps to a 'divide by 2' function. I've asked him if that means the rate is halved instead of quartered and whether your speed/the use of high-critical hit moves matter. --Chickasaurus (talk) 16:27, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
- Since it both skips a 'multiply by 2' function and performs a 'divide by 2' function, it looks like quarters is correct. --SnorlaxMonster 16:33, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah, I understand now. Thanks. It looks like the articles (Focus Energy, List of glitches in Generation I, critical hit) can be kept as they currently are. --Chickasaurus (talk) 20:40, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
Image for Gen VI experience formula
I have no idea how to create those mathematical formula images, and you're the user who uploaded the most recent version of the Gen V formula. Would you be able to update the "flat" formula to include Gen VI variables (p and f (as I named them, anyways))? I'd also like to include round down points; would you be able to do that, too? Thanks to Bbbbbbbbba, we know the order/rounding for Gen I, but it might be wise to check the order for the variables that appear after Gen I (which could be complicated)... Just regarding the reversion of my edit
Some banks do behave differently, I have tested this multiple times with identical .pkms. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was sure the Surfing Pikachu was an event?----BigBadBatter 01:46, 3 March 2014 (UTC)
- Surfing Pikachu was never distributed in Gen V, and since HM moves cannot be sent from Gen IV to V, Pikachu cannot have Surf in Generation V (or VI for that matter); for this reason, I had someone get a Mimic Pikachu in Gen III and see if it had a special animation for Surf in Generation VI. As for identical Pokémon, could you link to the .pkm on Pokécheck? One possibility is that the filter has changed over time (since Transporter is online), so what used to go through does not anymore. However, it is utter unfeasible that the filter varies from person-to-person (except perhaps due to region). --SnorlaxMonster 06:25, 3 March 2014 (UTC)
- That clears up the Pikachu fiasco XD. As for the .pkms, here is the link: [2]. It's the Modest one. I should note that the guy who owns the dittos tested them at around the same time as me. One variable could be the fact that he's American and I'm Australian, but I wouldn't know if regions could affect the behaviour of banks. I've also tested identical Breloom .pkms, but I don't have a link to those.----BigBadBatter 21:26, 3 March 2014 (UTC)

Lickitung
To tell you the truth Lickitung did use Lick in episode EP052.--JasonL 23:02, 23 March 2014 (UTC)
- This explains why it doesn't:
- "Also, I'd like to point out that the Announcer is saying "lick attack" with a lowercase l, not "Lick attack" as in the Pokemon move. Which kind of makes sense given how Lickitung couldn't legally learn the move at the time this episode came out anyway. The Japanese version does the same thing too: they never say Lick attack (したでなめる) and instead opt for phrases like shita kougeki (舌攻撃) or namete (舐めて) instead."
- There are plenty of similar situations too, where the Trainer commands "tackle it" or "counterattack" without referring to the moves. --SnorlaxMonster 07:33, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
Confusion status battle animations
Hi there, I saw that all the non-volatile status ailments have their own page which includes battle animations. I am wondering if it might be worth including battle animations for the confusion ailment somewhere, as it is a very common ailment and animations vary across generations and games. Not sure if this means it would have its own page like the non-volatile ones though. Jdthebud (talk) 06:25, 29 March 2014 (UTC)
- I have considered giving confusion its own page too. For now, having the images on status condition#confusion would be fine. --SnorlaxMonster 06:26, 29 March 2014 (UTC)

Entei
It says in Entei's article that it served as Molly's replacement father while her real father, Spencer, was trapped in Unown's dimension. Wouldn't that apply Entei's gender as male in the Japanese version too since a father is a male person to the family? PattyMan 04:36, 22 April 2014 (UTC)
- Maybe? The Entei wasn't even real, so I don't know if it even necessarily has a gender. --SnorlaxMonster 04:38, 22 April 2014 (UTC)

Hi there, I asked you a question related to the archives on your talk page over there, but haven't seen a reply yet. Are you not active on there? Just want to know if I should take my question somewhere else, although I was recommended to you from another s-member. Thanks, and have a nice day. Jdthebud (talk) 20:54, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
Glitch sprites
So there's apparently some glitch sprites to move on archives. The problem is, they are being moved via Pokédex numbers, rather than index numbers. This creates problems, as many numbers are shared, and neither I can delete files, nor move without leaving redirect. What's the naming standard there? Because there seems to be no naming standard... (Along the way, I moved few to correspond to index number. One Yellow's glitch sprite was actually misnamed as RB sprite if I recall correctly... what.) Eridanus (talk) 11:07, 17 May 2014 (UTC)
2DS Colors
It is confusing and makes no sense to switch back and forth between showing the "accents/button" swatch colors and using the "face plate" swatch colors.
If Crimson Red is different from White + Red, then its swatch should be a different shade of red, not white like its face plate.
The article should show uniformity. Altogether there are 6 2DS variations. The Black + Blue and Black + Red, White + Red, White + Peach Pink, Pink + White and White + Sea Green. That means there are three face plate colors, but "6" accent and button colors.
Also, why did you removed the White + Peach Pink? That is a legitimate 2DS variation. http://www.nintendo.com/3ds/buy/#twoDS-peach This proves it. The White + Peach Pink is not the same as the Pink + White 2DS. Yamitora1 (talk) 09:45, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
- I made a template with two colors for use on that page instead. Since unlike other systems, the 2DS colors are clearly pairs, it seemed necessary. (Please avoid using it on other pages without checking first; I don't want it used when there is a clear base color with just a few bits of another.) I actually didn't mean to remove "Peach Pink", I just took the page back to an earlier revision and implemented some of the changes you made; however, I intentionally didn't add it when I added Pink + White because it is a non-Pokémon special edition, which we do not normally note. --SnorlaxMonster 10:24, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
- I see. Well the new way certainly does help, but if you remove the White + Peach Pink, then you should remove the Sea Green one as well. If I am not mistaken, the Sea Green 2DS is for Tomodachi Life's release so it is much in the same boat as the White + Peach Pink 2DS is for the Disney game. At least that is how most of the sites I've seen has covered the story. Yamitora1 (talk) 10:58, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
- I think it is intentionally coinciding with the release, but it's not strictly a promotional style. The website treats them both this way compare the descriptions and icons). Here's the Pink Peach box, whereas to my knowledge the Sea Green 2DS comes just like any other color of 2DS, and will not only be available for a limited time. --SnorlaxMonster 11:04, 1 June 2014 (UTC)

Pokémon Infobox
It needs to not include footprint for 649+, since XY Pokedex stops using it (giving many broken links). Also, there should be note for new Abilities in G6 that existed before (like Oblivious on Feebas or Frisk on Duskull), or changes (like Speed Boost on Scolipede). I can't quite edit the template. Eridanus (talk) 10:12, 21 June 2014 (UTC)
movedesc
usage
Would you happen to know how up to date this usage guide for the move description template is? My main concern is that it states not to include spin-off games, but the Mystery Dungeon games and Conquest are given abbreviations and descriptions from both exist on various move pages. I'm also wondering about the designated order, since most pages have FR/LG descriptions listed before Colosseum/XD ones.--Cold (talk) 05:13, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
Confusing Encore mechanics
Could you perhaps provide an example (or examples) of what you mean by these parts?
- "If a Pokémon is affected by Encore before it uses its move that turn, that turn it will be forced to use the move it was locked into, with the priority of the selected move."
- "If the Pokémon is forced to use a move other than the one it selected, will target a random foe (if it can target a single foe); if the move is Acupressure, it will randomly target either the user or the ally."
One thing that's particularly confusing is "the move" in "If the move is Acupressure"; does "the move" refer to "a move the Encore'd Pokemon is forced to use other than the one it selected", and if so how would one be forced to use Acupressure (or more generally anything except Struggle)? Tiddlywinks (talk) 01:01, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
- Pokémon A uses Feint on turn 1. On turn 2, Pokémon B uses Encore on Pokémon A before it can use Roar, forcing it to use Feint that turn instead (but since movement order is determined at the start of the turn, Feint will still be used when Roar would have been).
- Pokémon A uses Tackle on turn 1. On turn 2, Pokémon B uses Encore on Pokémon A before it can use Scratch, forcing it to use Tackle that turn instead. Tackle targets a random foe, since Tackle can target a single foe.
- Pokémon A uses Acupressure on turn 1. On turn 2, Pokémon B uses Encore on Pokémon A before it can use Scratch, forcing it to use Acupressure that turn instead. Acupressure targets either the user or its ally randomly.
- I've edited the article to clarify that line from "If the move is Acupressure" to "If the move the Pokémon is locked into is Acupressure". Basically, if you haven't already used your move when you are affected by Encore, you will be forced to use the move your are now locked into with Encore instead of the move you chose that turn. --SnorlaxMonster 03:03, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
- Okay, that's pretty much what I understood/have experienced of Encore. My main confusion came from not understanding "it was locked into"...by what/whom? It didn't occur to me that you meant "the move Encore locked it into". Tiddlywinks (talk) 03:44, 9 July 2014 (UTC)

- You're going to have to be a bit more specific. I recommend just copy/pasting one that does it from another page and modifying the data to fit the page your adding it to. --SnorlaxMonster 20:02, 20 July 2014 (UTC)
The new dub of Pokémon: Indigo League in our country changed the name of the Pokedex to Poketab. I tried adding this to the Pokedex page, by using Template tt to add a asterisk. But it was not working proprely, so I typed it without that template. About copying the source from another page, most of the pages that I have seen don't use the TT template. But tt
works with Epilang
. →PikaTepig999
- Oh, I know what your problem was. You were trying to use quotation marks " in the tool tip. That breaks
tt
due to the way it's set up. You have to use"
if you want to do that. Anyway, I've fixed it up for you. --SnorlaxMonster 04:55, 21 July 2014 (UTC)

Japanese names and stuff to do.
So I've been messing with Generation V's location data, and there's some stuff:
- The 地方 in the regions is ちほう in kana-only mode (Kanto, Johto and Sinnoh are updated while Hoenn is protected).
- Someone has found Japanese names in kanji of the three places where you could find Swords of Justice in Black and White, I've added the kana mode names.
- Medal Office and Entree Forest have location data. I can't figure out the characters in Medal Office's kanji name, though.
- Kanji name for Pledge Grove, though I can't get the first character.
- Lovely place's Japanese name, the thing itself redirects to event Pokémon.
- The given Egg location adata, which apparently is Treasure Hunter in BW and PKMN Breeder in B2W2. Though that screenshot is from Japanese White 2... The name seems closer to Treasure Hunter rather than PKMN Breeder... Weird.
- There's also one unknown location data which also exists in BW's data. It says Stranger (Japanese: 遠くにいる人). Unused?
Eridanus (talk) 09:37, 29 July 2014 (UTC)
- Updated Hoenn. Added translations and kanji to all the relevant pages you mentioned, except in cases where someone else beat me to it. Interesting that the location name for Treasure Hunter/PKMN Breeder doesn't change in Japanese B2W2. Yeah, I'm pretty sure Stranger is unused. Put the Japanese name on the talk page I guess. I think lovely place should have its own article, listing all the different event Pokémon (and others like Hayley's trades) that list it as a met location. --SnorlaxMonster 10:11, 29 July 2014 (UTC)
Old era mini sprites.
I have no idea how you ordered that. Also, one more. Eridanus (talk) 10:20, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
- Index number. I forget where I got the index numbers (maybe it was iimarck.us), but I'm sure those are correct. There's probably 255 in total if you include glitch ones (maybe 256, but I'm guessing 0 will be blank). Also, there's a list of all the Gen I Pokémon by minisprite here, but I haven't gotten around to putting those in a table yet. --SnorlaxMonster 10:54, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
- I am fairly sure index number in G2 is basically No. in hexadecimal numbering. Changing RAM storing species to 01 gives me a Bulbasaur, not a Poliwag. (If we're going by Generation I, it's a Rhydon). Unless you're ordering the sprites itself, then I have no idea. (And I am not sure, but some of the sprites might have been added in the Crystal, like Pikachu was added in Yellow)Eridanus (talk) 11:00, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

- Hope you don't mind if I butt in here. Those values in the G/S Useful Offsets Thread are in fact index numbers. The offset in Gold is actually $8E975 though, not $8E976. Now, the first six values are 16, 16, 16, 17, 17, 26. This is because the value entries start for ID 001 and follow on +1, so Bulbasaur-Venusaur is 16, Charmander-Charmeleon is 17, and Charizard is 26.
- In Red/Blue, only one nybble (one digit of a byte) is used for a Pokémon's menu sprite (values start at $7190D), in the order most significant nybble->least significant nybble (so Venusaur/Charmander is 70, because Venusaur's menu sprite is 7, and Charmander's is 0). There are 10 valid values (0-9), leaving A-F as the only invalid menu sprites in Generation I, but one of those might be valid in Yellow for Pikachu. Missingno. happens to use an invalid one (0x0F in Red/Blue, apparently). More information can be found here. --Chickasaurus (talk) 12:23, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
- PS. So I decided to some research on Generation II, and I came to conclusion some of the files might need renaming. Certainly the "Dog" sprite should be renamed to Animal, as most of the Pokémon with it are based on mundane animals (rats, cats, dogs, foxes, sheep, etc.). Eridanus (talk) 09:46, 3 August 2014 (UTC)
- Now if I knew how to use that to find which value is Pikachu. Eridanus (talk) 09:46, 3 August 2014 (UTC)
- Well, Eridanus you were the one to upload and name those files, and you have have the Ability to move files on the Archives. They are currently barely used (the Dog one is only on my userspace page and DoTheWave's), so if you think they should be renamed go ahead. Do all the ????? use the same minisprite, and if they do, is it always the same or does is vary dependent on things like location? If it is constant, could you upload it? --SnorlaxMonster 09:53, 3 August 2014 (UTC)
- Okay, FC and FE use Lapras-like sprite in Crystal and 00 uses Slowpoke sprite in Silver (and presumably Gold?). There seems to be 3 different glitch sprites in total (I updated the Tumblr post). I have no idea if you can make them differ within the species and version. And yes, I did name the sprites. I am not sure how to rename some of them (Like the one that looks like a shell. Clams, crabs, ammonnites, trilobite, coral... I swear you can somehow group these... marine/naval?) Eridanus (talk) 10:21, 3 August 2014 (UTC)
- By vary, I mean like in Gen I. Some glitch Pokémon have minisprites that are different depending on the location of the player. I assume you listing one of the ????? as 09 was a type and meant to be 00. The one that looks like a shell, just call it Shell. --SnorlaxMonster 10:28, 3 August 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah, it was 00. That shell-like sprite already called Shell. The Ball is probably representing artifical Pokémon (Voltorb and Electrode are supposedly living Poké Balls, Magnemite and Magneton are living magnets, while Porygon and Porygon2 are humanmade), while the Blob is mostly amorphous (Grimer and Muk are piles of liquid sludge. Slugma, and mostly Magcargo, are liquid lava, while Ditto is most clearly amorphous. Only Koffing and Weezing don't exactly fit). The Clefairy one seem to be fairy-like (Cleffa and Chansey line). Gengar ones has all 4 Ghost-types existing back then, and Wobbuffet. Other are either fine, or can't really be classified otherwise. About the locations changing - I've tried going to bunch of locations (most of the outside places, plus most of the landmarks, and some other buildings), but it didn't change. Either I am not trying hard enough, they change in other way than visiting the places, or they don't change at all. Eridanus (talk) 11:15, 3 August 2014 (UTC)

Just saw this. Might make more sense to use this iamge instead. Just IMO. =) CycloneGU (talk) 23:00, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
- It's an old article, so there's no need to modify it at this point. Moreover, we wouldn't use unofficial artwork (even fan-modified versions of official artwork) in the article. --SnorlaxMonster 05:29, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
- Ah, so that was unofficial? Interesting.
- And good news for me: I got my Shiny Jirachi today. The possible minus is it's dated August 7, but there appear to be two with that date and two dated August 1 floating around today. I'm guessing the August 7 were just the wrong dates on the 3DS. I did a cloning request and got the big benefit of keeping my own out of it, and already sent one to a friend. =D CycloneGU (talk) 05:31, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
- There seems to be promotional artwork for the event, though. Eridanus (talk) 07:01, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
WTF
I have edited the main space pages Bonsly and Pikachu! Why can't I create my user page!? Meganium100 (talk) 11:11, 3 August 2014 (UTC)
- In order to create your userpage, you must first be autoconfirmed. To become autoconfirmed, you must first have a (small) unspecified number of edits and have had a Bulbapedia account for a (short) unspecified period of time. The specific number of edits are intentionally undisclosed so that users do not only make that number of edits just to get the ability to edit their userpage. --SnorlaxMonster 11:27, 3 August 2014 (UTC)
splitting move animations into core and spinoff games
Hey there, I see that we are getting a lot more move animations from the spinoff games (Mystery Dungeon especially). Was thinking we should have the "other generations" sections split. See the Blizzard page for a recent edit I made for that - it had lots of images in that section so I split it so it looks more formal. What do you think? --Jdthebud (talk) 19:25, 6 August 2014 (UTC)
- I like the idea of splitting the images between core series and side series, but I would rather separate side series (Stadium, Colo, PBR, etc.) from spin-off (PMD, Rumble, etc.) --SnorlaxMonster 05:05, 10 August 2014 (UTC)
- Okay, but the "Side series" template just redirects to the "Spin-off series" template, which confuses me as to what is considered Side series games or Spin-off games. I used the labels "Main series games" and "Side series games" on the Blizzard page as those are the terms I am most familiar with, but what are the official terms (if applicable) and what games fit under them? --Jdthebud (talk) 05:30, 10 August 2014 (UTC)
- Can I get an answer here? It's been a week. --Jdthebud (talk) 17:45, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
LOL
I knew that was coming. But since the information is confirmed, where does it belong? Pikachu will need edit protection now, I think, because it will be the target of mass edits. CycloneGU (talk) 19:07, 8 August 2014 (UTC)
Ice Punch and such
Now it implies that Jynx can be a father... even though they're female-only. The header should be change, at least for Generation VI. Eridanus (talk) 10:02, 9 August 2014 (UTC)
- It's been on Wake-Up Slap for a while anyway. I guess I could change it to "parent", but it makes it slightly less accurate for things like Snorlax passing down Lick to Snorlax. --SnorlaxMonster 10:05, 9 August 2014 (UTC)
BW stairs
I just uploaded BW-style stairs; you could update G5 catch entries, as they currently use HGSS-style. (I am currently mapping Twist Mountain, if you want to know the source). Eridanus (talk) 19:46, 9 August 2014 (UTC)
Colosseum Shiny Jirachi
Hey, SnorlaxMonster. Just wondering if you still have proof that the Shiny Jirachi from the Colosseum bonus disc cannot be transfered over. I ask since I had heard that it had been fixed a bit ago and only took notice of the issue with your recent edit. Link: 1, 2, 3, 4 --Super goku (talk) 00:46, 10 August 2014 (UTC)
- Apparently the GTS and Transporter use the same filter. I haven't gotten someone to test it, but since Shiny Jirachi is now legitimately obtainable in Gen VI, it is likely that it will be allowed to be transported. --SnorlaxMonster 05:05, 10 August 2014 (UTC)
New information
You might want to check out Talk:List of Pokémon by Hoenn Pokédex number as it has some new information regarding the new Pokédex numbering for ORAS regarding Pikachu, Milotic, and Salamence where their number for the Hoenn Dex is different from the original RS games. Wanted to give you the heads up as the pages for those three and their others forms might have to be protected or semi-protected to avoid any bad edits. -Tyler53841 (talk) 16:29, 10 August 2014 (UTC)
Wonder Card lists for Gens III and IV
Since there is no fixed list, how about a "List of (officially) distributed Wonder Cards in Generation III/IV"? SatoMew 16:42, 10 August 2014 (UTC)
- Events are already listed with their Wonder Cards. So all the distributed Wonder Cards are already on the relevant lists. --SnorlaxMonster 16:43, 10 August 2014 (UTC)
- Then should the "See also" section of Wonder Card direct to those lists then? They are listing the Wonder Cards too, after all. SatoMew 17:13, 10 August 2014 (UTC)
Cheren and Abilities
So I managed Cheren to get... explanations on Abilities. He named few interesting things: recoil, status conditions, weather (in different ways), sound-based moves and contact moves (as direct attacks), and probably few other things I missed. Eridanus (talk) 14:06, 12 August 2014 (UTC)
Roxanne's Nosepass
I remember looking into it years ago. Roxanne calls out "Hakai Kousen!", Japanese for Hyper Beam. But the animation implies that it is an electrical move. What this all stemmed from was a script error, most likely. The dub seemed to caught that something wasn't right and called it Thunder Wave to correct the mistake but we don't have any proof of what the attack was supposed to be. --ケンジのガール 09:59, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
- Here is where it got removed from the page. I remembered someone complaining that there was no error in the Japanese version, resulting in it getting removed from the anime move errors page. --SnorlaxMonster 11:33, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
Vanishing Pokémon Glitch
I might have found a glitch in Pokémon Y that causes Pokémon to disappear from your PC. It occurred to me on several occasions. Would it be notable enough to add to the list of glitches in Gen VI? - unsigned comment from Player3.25 (talk • contribs)
Steam Eruption and other moves on the List of Moves article
I was on the List of Moves article, and Steam Eruption and Hyperspace Hole were on there. I removed them since to my knowledge they are unverified and last I checked, we do not add things until officially verified as closely as possible.
But then I noticed that Thousand Arrow, Thousand Wave and Light of Ruin were also on the list. So before I go and remove them, I just wanted to verify that they are not suppose to be there. Yamitora1 (talk) 18:43, 24 August 2014 (UTC)
- They had had their indices verified by Kaphotics, who has done a lot of hacking of Pokémon games in the past. I personally think they should stay, but I suggest you bring this up with the Editorial Board. The decision not to cover them right now is theirs, so if they decide such moves should not be mentioned, it is up to them. (I would suggest contacting Jo The Marten, Head of Games.) --SnorlaxMonster 08:19, 25 August 2014 (UTC)
Using tooltips for translations
Hey, SnorlaxMonster. I was wondering what was your opinion on using the tooltip far translations in the "In other languages" section. I am asking since I have notice it occasionally has been removed in the past. --Super goku (talk) 03:19, 27 August 2014 (UTC)
N's text after defeat.
Apparently, Black's text dump had lowercase c, the same as White (as you mentioned in the edit from 2013)/ But Marriland's Wedlocke seems to prove otherwise. Here is White, for comparision. I am not sure now if the dump was wrong or Marriland's game's different or what. Eridanus (talk) 14:15, 27 August 2014 (UTC)
- I no longer have my English text dump of Black (I do have a Japanese one). I trust actual gameplay footage over what I thought a year and a hlaf ago. --SnorlaxMonster 15:01, 27 August 2014 (UTC)
Generation I and II stats.
I've noticed that in Generation I and II, if a Pokémon tries to lower or raise a stat that's at 1 or 999, respectively, the move will fail (additionally, any stat that's not HP will be reduced to 999 in-battle if it's anything higher). This doesn't happen Generation III onwards. I don't think it's noted anywhere on the site, is it? Eridanus (talk) 09:19, 30 August 2014 (UTC)
- Interesting. I know there is that Thick Club glitch though, where Marowak's attack overflows. --SnorlaxMonster 09:46, 30 August 2014 (UTC)
Diancie Protection
Even though its mega has not been released yet, like some of the other new megas, surely it would be smarter to leave it unprotected from regular users because of the sheer amount of information that is missing (Moves, Pokédex, etc.)--Ditto51/Tom (My Talk Page) 15:30, 31 August 2014 (UTC)
Source of my HP bar sprite
I didn't read the Bulbagarden Archives image policies before uploading XY HP bar.png, I'm so sorry. I do have a capture board installed, so this is my source image, taken by myself. Is there anything else I need to do? Chickasaurus (talk) 17:58, 31 August 2014 (UTC)
- Ensuring that people do actually have capture cards is done by Kogoro. Here is what was requested last time. You should contact her on her Archives talk page about it. --SnorlaxMonster 08:31, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
Hi, i'm new and very bad at English so I am sory.these name are translated by Vietnam Pokemon fan. We don't have official name yet, so we have to translate our self to show that Pokemon fandom in Vietnam is strong and not inferior any other countrys pokemon fan.if you have to remove them then is fine and i'm really, really sory for that.
