Pokémon Smile (Japanese: Pokémon Smile) is a spin-off Pokémon game for iOS, iPadOS, and Android. It was announced during Pokémon Presents on June 17, 2020 and released worldwide the same day.

Turn toothbrushing into a fun and exciting adventure with Pokémon Smile! Players can partner up with some of their favorite Pokémon to defeat the cavity-causing bacteria and save captured Pokémon. Only by consistently brushing their teeth can they save all the Pokémon, earning the chance to catch them.

- Decorate your favorite photos for fun!
- While you brush, you can let the game snap a few photos of your great brushing in action. Choose your favorite shot and then have some fun decorating it with a variety of stickers! Keep brushing your teeth daily, and you’ll continue to collect more stickers you can use to decorate your photos.
- Useful supervision features
- Toothbrushing guidance: Players will be guided through the toothbrushing process, helping them to brush all areas of their mouth.
- Notifications: Create up to three reminders a day to notify players when it’s time to brush!
- Duration: Choose how long each toothbrushing session should last: one, two, or three minutes. That way, the needs of users of all ages can be accommodated.
- Toothbrushing tips
- After each brushing session, you’ll also be able to pick up some helpful tips for how to brush the best you can, based on advice from dental professionals.
Gameplay
The game is played in one-, two-, or three-minute intervals, which can be changed in the settings. The game is played by brushing the player's teeth to fend off plaque taking the shape of Pokémon. An indicator in the bottom right corner tells players where they should be brushing their teeth for effective cleaning. After some time, typically when half the assigned time has passed, a plaque-infected Pokémon will appear for the player to clean. The player's Pokémon partner will focus their attacks on invading plaque over the infected Pokémon during this time, but their attacks will clean the Pokémon if there is no plaque currently on screen.
Once the brushing session is over, the player has a chance to catch the Pokémon, with their chances increasing depending on how well they brushed. If the player does especially well, a Master Ball will replace the Poké Ball that is used, and they are given a guaranteed capture. After the session, the game will show four screenshots it took while playing, and the player can select one of them to decorate with accessories and Pokémon they have collected. A Diglett button on the bottom will change the scenery of the image, while a Koffing button will remove all stickers applied to the image. When the player is done decorating their image, they can save it to their device. Images not selected will not be saved to the player's device, and the option can be toggled on and off through the settings.
Throughout the game, the player can obtain hats to wear in-game, which the game will place onto their head via an augmented reality filter. The hat the player wears will emit a special effect while brushing teeth, and can be changed from the main menu at any time. Different hats are obtained via different methods, though they are typically acquired from playing the game more and more times.
The player can set up to three notifications on what time the prefer to brush their teeth, but they are typically allowed to play the game at any time they want, with the only restriction being three-hour long wait periods between sessions.
While the game does advise the player to use a colored toothbrush, the game can still recognize clear or non-colored toothbrushes and play just fine. Similarly, merely holding the player's finger to the camera and shaking it left and right in front of their teeth can also cause the game to register it as brushing teeth.
Pokédex
At the start of the game, the player can choose their Pokémon partner from among Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, and Eevee. Starting in version 2.0.0, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile can also be chosen, and the player is allowed to change their Pokémon partner. New Pokémon are added to the Pokédex after being caught in the end of a brushing session. The Pokédex is split into various biomes, depending on where the Pokémon is usually found in the wild, and the player can tap on a Pokémon to view their Pokédex number, type, height, and weight. Initially, only Pokémon from Generation I were available in the game, but the 1.1.0 update, released on November 7, 2021, added Smeargle, Ludicolo, Mime Jr., and Dedenne. On June 2, 2022, the 2.0.0 update added the remaining Pokémon from Generation II.

- The player's first Pokémon is not registered in the Pokédex. Instead, it needs to be caught just like any other Pokémon to be registered.
- The plaque the player's Pokémon fight against are similar to Void Shadows from Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon in that they take the form of Pokémon to affect other Pokémon and have similar appearances to each other.
