Psychic (Japanese: サイコキネシス Psychokinesis) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I.
Effect
Generation I
Psychic does damage and has a 29.7% chance of lowering the target's Special by one stage. Psychic will not be able to lower the target's Special if it is at a stage of -6 or a value of 1, or if the target has a Substitute.
Generation II and on
Same as Generation I, but with a 10% chance of lowering Special Defense.

Pokémon
Kadabra. Kadabra's eyes flash red. The opponent then glows blue and Kadabra can control it, and it turns its head in the direction it wants the opponent to be thrown.
- Used by Sabrina's Kadabra in Abra and the Psychic Showdown and Haunter Versus Kadabra. Debut.
Mewtwo. Mewtwo's eyes and body glow light blue. The target is surrounded by a light blue aura and is thrown into a wall.
- Used by Giovanni's Mewtwo from The Battle of the Badge to Present.
Exeggutor. Exeggutor's eyes glow light green. It can then control anything it wants to.
- Used by Mandi's Exeggutor in Round One - Begin!.
Drowzee. Drowzee sticks its arms out and deflects an attack with its mind.
- Used by Cassidy's Drowzee in Pikachu Re-Volts.
Golduck. Golduck's eyes glow blue, and it raises its finger and that turns blue too. The taget becomes surrounded in a blue aura and Golduck can control it.
- Used by a wild Golduck in Bye Bye Psyduck.
Haunter. Haunter's eyes and body glow purple. The target is then surrounded by a light purple aura and rises into the air.
- Used by Captain's Haunter in A Shipful of Shivers.
Hypno. Hypno's eyes turn light blue. The target then is surrounded by a light blue aura and rises into the air.
- Used by Harrison's Hypno in Playing With Fire.
Spoink. Spoink's entire body glows blue. Its target then also glows blue and is lifted up into the air.
- Used by a wild Spoink in Pearls are a Spoink's Best Friend and Clamperl of Wisdom!.
Grumpig. The pearls and eyes of Grumpig glow blue. Its target then becomes outlined in blue and lifted into the air.
- Used by Kelly's Grumpig in Lessons in Lilycove!.
Jynx. Jynx's eyes glow blue and its hair floats up. Its target is then surrounded in a blue aura and tossed.
- Used by Erica's Jynx from Mean With Envy to present.
Metang. Metang's eyes glow blue. Its target is then surrounded in a blue aura and is lifted into the air.
- Used by Morrison's Metang from Saved by the Beldum! to ???.
Beautifly. Its eyes glow blue and then it releases a wave of energy from it.
- Used by May's Beautifly from The Unbeatable Lightness of Seeing! to present.
Deoxys. Deoxys' body becomes outlined in blue. Its target then also becomes outlined in blue and is lifted up into the air.
- Used by a wild Deoxys in Destiny Deoxys.
Metagross. The silver X on Metagross's face glows a spectrum of colors and a wave of translucent rainbow-colored waves is then released from it, hurting everything in its path.
- Used by a Tyson's Metagross in At the End of the Fray.
Mr. Mime. Its eye glows light blue and then its target(s) becomes outlined in light blue and lifted into the air.
- Used by a Rhonda's Mr. Mime in Hail to the Chef!.
Metagross. The silver X on Metagross's face glows blue. Its opponent then becomes outlined in blue and lifted into the air.
- Used by a Psychic's Metagross in Glory Blaze!.
- Used by a wild Metagross in DP117.
Dusknoir. Its eye glows blue and then its opponent becomes outlined in blue and lifted into the air.
- Used by a wild Dusknoir in Ghoul Daze!.
Drifloon and Drifblim. Its eye glows blue and then its opponent becomes outlined in blue and lifted into the air.
- Used by Fantina's Drifloon and Drifblim from Playing the Leveling Field! to A Shield with a Twist!.
