Appendix:Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire walkthrough/Soaring Legendaries walkthrough
This is a guide that covers all the legendaries that can only be located by Soaring in the sky. These legendaries that come from Johto, Sinnoh, and Unova can either by found by their own specific Mirage Islands, or located in the sky.
Much like with Ho-Oh, Lugia, and Heatran, you will face them in their own dimension, most of them from a dimensional ring you'll find on foot. The only recommended Poké Balls you can stock on in preparation for this are Ultra Balls and Timer Balls (once enough turns have passed), though Net Balls can still be used for the two Water-type legendaries you will encounter in this quest. Also like the three aforementioned Pokémon (and Regigigas), they will also be at Level 50. Bringing a Pokémon that knows False Swipe is recommended, and take into account the type differences for the Pokémon that will be using that move.
Remember if you fail to catch any of these, defeat the Elite Four again to make them reappear until you successfully catch them. Also as most of these locations are time-based, any tampering with the 3DS/2DS's clock will prevent these specific locations from appearing within a 24-hour time frame.
Johto Legendary Pokémon location
Trackless Forest
Requirement: Must have either Ho-Oh, or Lugia in your party.
The Trackless Forest serves as the location for the only Johto Legendaries that can be found through this method, the Legendary beasts. The Trackless Forest is located around the area of Petalburg Woods and Rustboro City.

By examining the ring portal within during different minute frames within an hour it can help determine which of the Legendary beasts will appear when you do so. Remember to come and go swiftly if you can so you can switch teams as this is the only trio that you can face back-to back if possible as the Legendary Beast that appears is changed within a 20-minute interval.

When dealing with Raikou use Grass or Ground-types, but avoid using super-effective ground-type moves if you can. As it can't be paralyzed, put it to sleep before trying to catch it. As its offensive moves are all physical, bringing a Pokémon with a high defensive stat is helpful. If his paralyzing you is an issue, use another Electric-type, or a Pokémon that has the Limber ability.
For Entei, using Water, Rock, Dragon or another Fire-type is good for a defensive strategy. As long as you avoid super-effective damage on it, or using Pokémon with a type disadvantage, you'll be fine. Use Full Heal or Full Restore if you have to deal with Burns or Swagger's confusion-causing effects.
For Suicune, despite being a Water-type, it only uses Ice-type moves for its offensive abilities, so Grass-types aside from Ludicolo are not to be used here. Bring Ice Heals, or Full Heals and Full Restores in case you have to deal with Freeze. Be careful of using special attacks as it can send the damage back at double the force with Mirror Coat.
Sinnoh Legendary Pokémon locations
Crescent Isle
Requirement: This is the only Mirage spot that does not have any special requirements to make it appear. Instead it is one of the daily mirage spots, that can either be chosen randomly, as your mirage spot for that day or if you can use the StreetPass feature, it will allow you to randomly get if from one of the players around the world. If you have to use StreetPass, remember if you save first before using it and do not get Crescent Isle, do a soft reset and try again as unlike your daily mirage spot, these ones are not pre-determined.
Crescent Isle is located south of Evergrande City.

Cresselia has the Levitate ability, which makes Ground-type moves useless and the Ice-type move Aurora beam which is bad for Grass, Dragon, Ground and Flying-types. Steel-types can make a good defensive weapon here due to their resistance to the offensive-moves Cresselia has, though you can still use Dark-types for dealing with Future Sight.
Nameless Cavern
Requirement: Must have three Pokémon with a maxed out Friendship factor on your team.
The Nameless Cavern serves as the location for the Lake guardians, to which it's interior has a resemblance to the lake-bound caves from Sinnoh that they dwell in. The Nameless Cavern is located northeast of Sootopolis City.

By coming at a specific time of day, it will determine which of the lake guardians will appear. Out of the three, Uxie will be the most difficult to locate as you only have a 1-hour time period to be able to encounter it.

Since these three Pokémon have the same type, the same strategies should work for all three with very few differences. It is recommended to include Dark-types or certain defensive Steel-types like Bronzong or Bastiodon as defensive weapons. Remember Azelf is the most offensive-based, and Uxie is the most-defensive based, while Mesprit is the balanced one who does not have their strengths or weaknesses so keep the difference in stats in mind. The only potential issue to prepare for is Azelf's ability to use Nasty Plot to make it's attacks stronger, so just in case, bring in a fast Pokémon that knows Haze or Clear Smog (as long as Azelf's HP is not too low) to undo its stat changes.
Dimensional Rift
Unlike most of the legendaries where you have to land on an island to find their dimensional portal, the creation trio's portals are located in a Dimensional Rift in the sky which only appears if the required Pokémon in your party. The Dimension Rift's location is south of Dewford Town.
VS. PalkiaOR/VS. DialgaAS
Requirement: Must have Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf in your party.

Since these two Pokémon are version-exclusive, with Palkia in Omega Ruby and Dialga in Alpha Sapphire you can only get one of them depending on which version you are using.
Avoid bringing Rock or Steel-types into these fights, both Pokémon have the means to counter them (excluding Bronzong, as its dual-type and Levitate ability can help protect it). Also avoid Fairy-types against Dialga, as while they can cause normal damage, its Steel-type moves can flatten it (excluding Azumarill, due to its Water-type characteristics), though for Palkia, you can use it as a defensive weapon, but don't use Fairy-type moves against it as you can risk knocking it out. For Palkia just use Electric, Grass, or Ice-types (don't use Freeze-Dry, as it will cause 4× damage) and for Dialga, Fire or Ghost-types. Don't forget to use status conditions.
VS. Giratina
Requirement: Must have both Palkia and Dialga in your party.

As both the requirements are not found together in the same game, either trading someone who has the Palkia/Dialga, or importing one that was caught in an earlier generation through Poké Transporter is the only solution to encounter Giratina.
Do not use Dark-types here other than Honchkrow because of Aura Sphere. Wear it down with moves that do not do not do super-effective damage, and after putting a status condition, switch to a good Fairy-type, such as Azumarill, as it can handle these attacks. Remember it specilizes defense over offensive. The only thing to watch out is Shadow Force, as it is a two-turn attack that cannot be defended against with moves such as Protect.
For locating the creation trio's signature hold items, the creation trio orbs, they are located underwater in Route 128, Route 129, and Route 130 as invisible items. As the Dowsing Machine does not work underwater, they will not be easy to locate.
Unova Legendary Pokémon locations
Pathless Plain
Requirement: Must have three fully-trained Pokémon from maxed Effort Values on your team, such as fully completing Super Training.
The Pathless Plain serves as the location for the Swords of Justice of Unova. It is located south of Pacifidlog Town.

The method here is that each member of the Swords of Justice will only appear within a specific day, so it will take three different days to be able to catch them, dependent on how you handle this. Out of the three Cobalion will appear within three specific days, while both Terrakion and Virizion will only appear within two specific days.

Make sure to leave out Dark-types in these fights as they are weak against Sacred Sword, and Dark-type moves will raise the Swords of Justice's attack power. Ghost-types can really help here due to their immunity to Sacred Sword.
For dealing with Cobalion, using Ghost, Psychic, or Flying-types can help, though their moves will only do normal damage.
For dealing with Terrakion, it can be a hassle due to have the highest attack and being able to use Swords Dance. You may need Haze or Clear Smog to make it less stressful. Other than Ghost or Fighting-types, Bronzong, or Skarmory, are good candidates as defensive choices.
For dealing with Virizion, avoid using Flying-types as they will cause 4× damage to it. Instead, other than Ghosts, use Bug-types, as Virizion will take regular damage. Remember Virizion has the strongest special attacks, though it's only special move is Giga Drain, and you should only paralyze it with Thunder Wave.
Storm Clouds
Much like with the creation trio, the forces of nature can also only be located in the sky as their dimensional portal are located with these storm clouds. The location of the Storm Clouds is above Fortree City.
VS. TornadusOR/VS. ThundurusAS
Requirement: Must have Castform in your party.

As these Pokémon are version exclusive you will only have to face one of them in game.
For dealing with Tornadus, a Steel-type should like Bastiodon should be useful to wear it down before inflicting a status condition on it. As long as you avoid ones like Metagross you should be fine. Most other types as long as you are careful should be useful.
For dealing with Thundurus, the same strategy should work here, or use another electric-type as they cause regular damage, and you do not have to worry about paralysis. Since the opposite is true, you'll have to put it to sleep when inflicting a status condition.
VS. Landorus
Requirement: Must have Tornadus and Thundurus in your party.

As the required Pokémon are version-exclusive, obtaining Tornadus/Thundurus will require either trade or import one caught in Generation V through Poké Transporter is the only solution here to get the other one.
The only danger Landorus has is Rock Slide to counter Bug or Flying-types. Bronzong with its ability and type will be a big help here. You can also use a pure Grass type here to avoid super-effective damage. If you want to paralyze it, use Stun Spore.
Also if you have any of the forces of nature on your team, go to Mauville City and head to Narcissus Mirror Shop in the Northwest Corner of 1F. Talk to the owner to receive the Reveal Glass. This allows you to shift the forces of nature between their Incarnate and Therian Formes at any time.
Fabled Cave
Requirement: Must have a Level 100 Pokémon on your team.
The Fabled Cable will serve as the location for two members of the Tao trio, Zekrom and Reshiram. However, as they are version-exclusive, you will only find one here depending on the version you are using. The Fabled Cave is located east of Route 110.
VS. ReshiramOR/VS. ZekromAS

Out of the two, Reshiram specializes more in Special Attacks. Use anything other than Ground or Rock-types to help weaken Reshiram so you can inflict a status condition on it, before trying to catch it. Azumarill is a good choice to use here with a Water-type move, or the Fairy-type move Play Rough.
For Zekrom, its stats are more towards using Physical attack. As the paralyze status condition will not work here, you'll have to put it to sleep instead. Use anything that causes normal damage excluding Fighting or Poison-types before switching to the Pokémon you'll use to help make sure to keep it asleep so you can catch it.
Gnarled Den
Requirement: Must have both Reshiram and Zekrom in your party.
The final member of the Tao trio, Kyurem, is located at the Gnarled Den. To gain entry, the other two Tao trio members need to be in your party. As the other two are also version-exclusive Pokémon, again trade or using Poké Transporter to solve the problem. The Gnarled Cave is located at the west side of Mt. Chimney.

Remember Kyurem when compared to Reshiram and Zekrom has weaker defenses, but is more balanced in offensive stats. Use a Fire or Water-type Pokémon as it is good for both Defensive strategy and to be able to do normal damage to help decrease the chances of accidentally knocking it out. Azumarill would be a good choice here as long as you avoid using Play Rough to prevent Super-effective damage.
Also if you use the Dowsing Machine here, you can find the DNA Splicers. This will allow for Kyurem to fuse with Reshiram or Zekrom to become either White Kyurem or Black Kryrem.
