From Bulbapedia, the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia.
Route 35 (Japanese: 35ばんどうろ Route 35) is a route in central Johto, connecting Goldenrod City to National Park and the Pokéathlon Dome. The route also has a shortcut that leads directly to Route 36.
Route description
The route is a relatively short route, leading the player in an S-like curve, around a small body of water, and north to the southern entrance to the National Park. At the gate leading from Goldenrod, a guard named Webster will give the player a Spearow with Mail attached to deliver to his friend on Route 31.

Trivia
- Picnicker Brooke's Japanese name is イクエ Ikue and her only Pokémon is Pikachu. This may be a reference to Ikue Otani, the anime voice actress of Ash's Pikachu.
- After being defeated, Bird Keeper Bryan mentions how Kurt's Fast Balls are good for catching Pokémon that flee from battle. However, while this is true in Generation II, in Generation IV, Fast Balls instead work more effectively on Pokémon with a base Speed of at least 100.
- There is an occasional glitch that can cause the game to get stuck if the player cuts the north-eastern tree before battling Bug Catcher Arnie.
- Although rematch data exists, Juggler Irwin cannot actually be refought in Pokémon Crystal or in Generation IV.
