The Sunflora Festival (Japanese: キマワリコンテスト Kimawari Contest) is an annual festival and competition held in Bloomingvale, Johto. It was featured in Grin to Win!.

Competition

The Sunflora Festival contest is a beauty pageant for Sunflora. Three judges examine the entrants for the signs of good health and happiness. The victorious Trainer wins a trophy and a year's supply of instant noodles, while their Sunflora receives the title of "Sunflora of the Year" and a sash.

The people of Bloomingvale seem to find winning quite important, and have been known to use different methods such as tanning salon treatments or hiring a comedian to enhance their Sunflora's smile.

Sonrisa took part in the competition with Sunny, while her neighbor Cyrus, the winner in the previous year, entered with Dorabelle. Team Rocket also took part in the competition, with Meowth disguised as a Sunflora.
