A Teacher (Japanese: せんせい Teacher) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that first debuted in the Generation II games. In Generation II, they are women in suits with pointers. In Generation IV, they are older women in suits, with bags containing papers. They are usually found near School Kids. In Sun and Moon, Teachers share their appearance with female Office Workers.
They raise a variety of different Pokémon.

- All six of the Pokémon in Teacher Kaede's party are capable of Mega Evolving.
- Half of her Pokémon got Mega Evolutions in Pokémon X and Y (Blaziken, Gardevoir, and Manectric) while the other half got Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire (Swampert, Sceptile, and Salamence).
