A Collector (Japanese: ポケモンコレクター Pokémon Collector) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that debuted in the Generation III games. They are generally depicted as nerdy young men carrying many Poké Balls.
In Generations III, VI, and VII, they use version-exclusive Pokémon. In Diamond and Pearl and in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, they use three Pokémon of the same species, while in Platinum they use rare Pokémon such as Togetic or Feebas. They often talk about how they wish to catch rare Pokémon.
In Generation I, one of Bill's titles was the Collector.
In Generation VII, they keep their Pokémon in Premier Balls.
