Route 217 is a route in Sinnoh that leads to the Acuity Lakefront. This route is in the middle of a huge blizzard, hampering visibility and the ability to run or ride bikes. Also, in every wild Pokémon battle or trainer battle, it will be hailing, damaging any non-Template:Type2 Pokémon. Ice Rock is located at the extreme northeast of this route. If an Eevee is leveled up in this route, it will evolve into Glaceon. When the player enters this area in Pokémon Platinum, they encounter Maylene, have a chat and then she runs off to Snowpoint City.

Trivia
- Just like in the Eterna Forest, it is impossible to evolve Eevee into either of its time-based evolutions, Espeon and Umbreon here, due to the presence of the Ice Rock.
- If the player re-enters the house near the Ice Rock after the Spell Tag is obtained, the woman that gives it has disappeared. The nature of the item in conjunction with Ace Trainer Olivia's comments of hauntings in the area implies that the woman was a ghost. This also draws parallels with Eterna Forest, where the only other (human) ghosts in the game can be seen.
- Route 217 is similar to Route 43 in Johto as both routes are north-south, both routes have the north end as a lakefront, and both lead to the city where the seventh Badge is obtained. Both of these Gyms specialize in Template:Type2 Pokémon.
