[[File:Tula trapped silk thread.png|thumb|200px|left|Sticky silk produced by Leavanny in [[Pokémon Adventures]]]]
Leavanny is a thin, yellow, humanoid Pokémon. It has a broad, split leaf around its head, similar to {{p|Sewaddle}}'s, and has long antennae which end in semi-circles. Its chest and legs are dark green and sectioned, making them appear armored. Their hands are leaf-like, with a "bite" taken out of each. Its arms are the "veins" to the leaves and are {{m|Leaf Blade|very}} {{m|X-Scissor|sharp}}. Leavanny uses its sharp arms and adhesive threads to create clothing for other Pokémon. Its large abdomen is covered by its leafy tail, making it appear as if it was wearing a dress or coat.
Leavanny is a thin, yellow, bipedal insectoid {{OBP|Pokémon|species}} that resembles a leaf cutter ant. It has a broad, split-leaf around its large, round head and it has long antennae that end in semicircles. Its eyes are red with no apparent sclerae. Its tiny {{wp|thorax}} is dark green, and its long abdomen is yellow and covered in a green leaf. Its hands are long and leaf-like with a "bite" taken out of each. Its upper arms are also leaf-like but with a vein of yellow at the top. Its hips are wide and Its slender legs are yellow with dark green, thick segments around its thighs, making them appear armored.

====Gender differences====
Leavanny's arm blades are powerful enough to slice through a tree trunk with a single swing. It generally lives in forests. Leavanny is very parental and uses its cutters and the sticky silk it produces to create clothing made of leaves for small Pokémon. Leavanny is known to make warm wrappings for young {{p|Sewaddle}}. It also warms its eggs with fermenting fallen leaves. While usually gentle, it will attack anyone or anything that harms young Pokémon.
None.

==Trivia==
==Trivia==
===Origin===
Leavanny has the characteristics of several insects. Primarily, it appears to be based on a bipedal {{wp|Phylliidae}}, but like its pre-evolved forms, it may also be based on the {{wp|Epargyreus clarus|silver-spotted skipper}} and {{wp|weaver ant}}s or {{wp|leafcutter ant}}s. It also shares some characteristics with a {{wp|European mantis|praying mantis}}. Its general body structure is also similar to that of a ''{{wp|Choeradodis}}'' {{wp|mantis}}, which also have laterally expanded thoraxes and abdomens.

===Origin===
The way it weaves clothes for other Pokémon from leaves with its sticky silk may be based on a {{wp|tailor}} or a {{wp|fashion designer}}. Its leafy "dress", "collar", and "paned sleeve" arms may be based on {{wp|1600–1650 in Western European fashion|fashion in the early 1600s}}. Because of the way it acts towards smaller Pokémon and its baby Sewaddle, it could also be based on a human {{wp|mother}}.
Leavanny appears to be based on both a bipedal {{wp|Phylliidae|Phylliidae}} and, like its prevolutions, is also based on the {{wp|Epargyreus clarus}} {{wp|caterpillar}}. Its leafy "dress", "collar", and "paned sleeve" arms may be based on a combination of both {{wp|1600–1650 in fashion|men and women's fashion in the early 1600's}}. Because of the way it acts towards smaller Pokémon and its baby {{p|Sewaddle}}, it could also be based on a {{wp|mother|human mother}} as well as a female {{wp|earwig}}. Its general body structure is also similar to that of a {{wp|Praying mantis}}. Considering the Pokémon based on a praying mantis, it would likely bear traits with the {{wp|Choeradodis}} genus, the Pokémon sharing a distinguishing characteristic, a laterally expanded thorax and anterior.

Leavanny (Japanese: ハハコモリ Hahakomori) is a dual-type Bug/Grass Pokémon introduced in Generation V.

It evolves from Swadloon when leveled up with high friendship. It is the final form of Sewaddle.

Biology

Sticky silk produced by Leavanny in Pokémon Adventures

Leavanny is a thin, yellow, bipedal insectoid Pokémon that resembles a leaf cutter ant. It has a broad, split-leaf around its large, round head and it has long antennae that end in semicircles. Its eyes are red with no apparent sclerae. Its tiny thorax is dark green, and its long abdomen is yellow and covered in a green leaf. Its hands are long and leaf-like with a "bite" taken out of each. Its upper arms are also leaf-like but with a vein of yellow at the top. Its hips are wide and Its slender legs are yellow with dark green, thick segments around its thighs, making them appear armored.

Leavanny's arm blades are powerful enough to slice through a tree trunk with a single swing. It generally lives in forests. Leavanny is very parental and uses its cutters and the sticky silk it produces to create clothing made of leaves for small Pokémon. Leavanny is known to make warm wrappings for young Sewaddle. It also warms its eggs with fermenting fallen leaves. While usually gentle, it will attack anyone or anything that harms young Pokémon.

Evolution

Leavanny evolves from Swadloon and is the final form of Sewaddle.

Trivia

Origin

Leavanny has the characteristics of several insects. Primarily, it appears to be based on a bipedal Phylliidae, but like its pre-evolved forms, it may also be based on the silver-spotted skipper and weaver ants or leafcutter ants. It also shares some characteristics with a praying mantis. Its general body structure is also similar to that of a Choeradodis mantis, which also have laterally expanded thoraxes and abdomens.

The way it weaves clothes for other Pokémon from leaves with its sticky silk may be based on a tailor or a fashion designer. Its leafy "dress", "collar", and "paned sleeve" arms may be based on fashion in the early 1600s. Because of the way it acts towards smaller Pokémon and its baby Sewaddle, it could also be based on a human mother.

Name origin

Leavanny is a combination of leaves and nanny. It may also derive from Levana, the ancient Roman goddess of newborn babies.

Hahakomori may be a combination of 葉 ha (leaf), 母 haha (mother), and 子守 komori (babysitting).
