==Biology==
==Biology==
Espurr is a small, bipedal, feline Pokémon. Its fur is mussed and a pale grey color with the exception of its ears—which are cream-rimmed—and its paws, which have short cream socks. It has wide, annular lilac eyes with darker purple pupils. It has a small, triangular nose and tiny mouth. It has a small, fluffy, slightly curled tail. Its ears, quite large in proportion to its body, are folded- beneath them are two ring-shaped buff-colored organs. These organs emit Espurr's intense psychic powers, and said power would leak out were the ears not sheltering the organs. When its mouth is open, two pointed teeth can be seen on its upper jaw.
Espurr is a bipedal, feline {{OBP|Pokémon|species}}. Its fur is a pale gray with white tips on its ears and white paws. There are tousled tufts of fur on its head, cheeks, shoulders, chest, and hips. It has wide, pale purple eyes with darker purple pupils, a tiny nose, and a small mouth. When its mouth is open, two pointed teeth can be seen on its upper jaw. Its tail is fluffy and slightly curled.
Espurr are solitary in the wild; they act on their own and each values its independence.

==In the anime==
Espurr's ears are quite large in proportion to its body and folded. Beneath its ears are two ring-shaped yellow organs. These organs emit Espurr's intense psychic powers. It has no control over its power, and it would leak out if the ears were not sheltering the organs. It has enough psychic energy to create a blast radius of 300 feet (90 meters). This psychic energy can send even a wrestler flying. While its blank expression barely changes, beneath it is an intense struggle, trying so hard to control its psychic powers. Espurr can fall unconscious if its psychic power builds up too much.

Espurr (Japanese: ニャスパー Nyasper) is a Psychic-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VI.

It evolves into Meowstic starting at level 25.

Biology

Espurr is a bipedal, feline Pokémon.

Evolution

Espurr evolves into Meowstic.

Trivia

  • The stock image used in the battle animation of Baby-Doll Eyes*, Tearful Look, and Mean Look* appear to be based on Espurr's eyes. Despite this, Espurr is unable to learn any of these moves.

Origin

Espurr appears to be based on a kitten, particularly the Scottish Fold breed due to its curled ears and lilac coloring. It may also be inspired by nekomata, who were inspired by cats who live many years until their tail splits and they gain supernatural powers, much like when Espurr evolves into Meowstic.

Name origin

Espurr may be a combination of ESP, esper, and purr.

Nyasper may be a combination of ニャー nyā (onomatopoeia of the sound cats make) and esper.
