In spin-off games
Pokémon Sleep
The Persim Berry is available in Pokémon Sleep as one of the Berries that can be gathered by helper Pokémon and fed to Snorlax.
Effect
Persim Berries raise Snorlax's Strength, doubling the effect if the Berry is Snorlax's favorite. The base amount of Strength raised by the Berry is determined by the level of the helper Pokémon that gathered it.
Note
|
Acquisition
Persim Berries can be gathered by Normal-type helper Pokémon in the player's team. Like all Berries in the game, gathered Persim Berries do not go into the player's inventory and instead are immediately eaten by Snorlax.
In the anime
Persim Berries debuted in A Fork in the Road! A Parting of the Ways!, where they were growing in Dr. White's garden.

Trivia
- Despite the relationship of this berry to the Bitter Berry from Generation II, both being the Berries that cured confusion, the Persim Berry is not actually bitter. In Generation IV and VIII, bitterness is actually the only flavor that the Persim Berry does not have.
Origin
The Persim Berry's design and name may be based on persimmons.
