Giga Impact (Japanese: ギガインパクト Giga Impact) is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation IV. It is identical to Hyper Beam, except that it is a Physical move rather than a Special one. It has been TM68 since Generation IV.
Almost every Pokémon that can learn Hyper Beam through TM15 can learn Giga Impact through TM68, and vice versa.
Effect
Giga Impact deals damage and then forces the user to recharge during the next turn. Unless this attack misses, the user will always have to recharge.

Trivia
- Giga Impact's introduction in Generation IV, the generation that changed Hyper Beam from a physical move to a special move, effectively serves as a continuation of Hyper Beam from past generations.
- Aerodactyl and Tyranitar are the only Pokémon that learn both Hyper Beam and Giga Impact by leveling up.
- Despite being among the lightest Pokémon (only surpassed by Gastly,Haunter and Flabébé) all three of the lake guardians can learn this move.
- Normally, only fully-evolved Pokémon can learn this move. However, some Pokémon that are not fully evolved but were in a previous generation (such as Porygon, Porygon2, Seadra, or Lickitung) may also learn this move, despite the fact it was introduced during Generation IV.
- Also, some Pokémon that are currently fully evolved cannot learn either variation.
