Clear Smog (Japanese: クリアスモッグ Clear Smog) is a damage-dealing Poison-type move introduced in Generation V.
Effect
Clear Smog inflicts damage and resets all stat levels of the target to 0; unlike Haze, this move only hits one target, rather than affecting every Pokémon on the field. This effect does not work if the target is unaffected by the attack because of type immunity, protection, or is behind a substitute. However, it does work against the boss of a Max Raid Battle even if it has a shield up.
Clear Smog bypasses accuracy checks to always hit, unless the target is in the semi-invulnerable turn of a move such as Dig or Fly.
Holding a Covert Cloak does not prevent a target from having its stat changes eliminated.
