Faraway Island

Faraway Island (Japanese: さいはてのことう Furthest-away Island) is an island located far away from Hoenn. Its location appears on an Old Sea Map, and Captain Briney returns a favor by the ship in Lilycove City to sail to this far-off isle.

On the island is a sign with old, fading writing dated 6 October. It seems to be a reference to Mr. Fuji and the creation of Mewtwo. It also ends in a signature of which only remains "ji" (for some reason, this was not translated). If this is true, this means that Fuji, for whatever reason, returned to Faraway Island two months after the Mewtwo project.

A single Mew is found on this island. When it is engaged in battle, the music is a remix of Kanto's wild Pokémon music.
