Jack Walker (Japanese: ジャック・ウォーカー), or Jackie (Japanese: ジャッキー), is a protagonist in the movie Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea. Jack joins Ash Ketchum and friends in the middle of a top-secret mission that sees him delivering a Pokémon egg to the Sea Temple Samiya. This egg, which belongs to the Prince of the Sea, Manaphy, is said to unlock the secrets of the Sea Temple's treasure.
In the anime
In All That Glitters is Not Golden, Spurt!, the opening theme to the Pokémon television series, was updated to include Walker and fellow ranger Solana. This was the first time that a human movie character appeared in the anime arc, with the exception of Sammy, who appeared in the series to begin with.
In the movie
Jack Walker is an athletic young man who decided to become a Pokémon Ranger after being saved from a blizzard by a group of Altaria, Swablu, Furret, Sentret and Shroomish. As such, he takes his duties seriously. He is voiced by Rich McNanna in English and Kōichi Yamadera (山寺宏一) in Japanese.
In the movie, after meeting up with Ash Ketchum and his friends, he decided to team up with them to help protect the egg containing Manaphy. When the egg hatched and Manaphy became close to May, he showed concern about their relationship, knowing they were getting too attached as it was Manaphy's destiny to leave them for the Sea Temple.Also when Chatot left the Phantom jack asked it to come with him it then went with Jack
