Mewtwo's creators

Mewtwo's creators are a group of scientists who debuted in Mewtwo — Prologue to Awakening.

They were first seen in flashbacks conducting experiments on Mewtwo. These flashbacks were narrated by Dirk, a Pokémon hunter hired to recapture the escaped Mewtwo, to Virgil, Anna, and Oscar.

The flashbacks were expanded upon in Genesect and the Legend Awakened. They were seen creating Mewtwo in a tank using DNA taken from Mew. Once Mewtwo was born, they conducted some sort of experiment on it; however, Mewtwo overpowered the machines being used to restrain it and went on a rampage, destroying the lab before escaping. Although the fate of the scientists was never directly revealed, it seems that they survived the experience, as Dirk stated that they had hired him to recapture Mewtwo.

The scientists created this Mewtwo from the cells of a Mew. It is unknown how long they had custody of it, but during an experiment which caused Mewtwo great pain, it violently rebelled and escaped.
