Super Smash Bros. series
In Super Smash Bros. and Super Smash Bros. Melee, Blastoise, a Poké Ball Pokémon, uses Hydro Pump to damage and push away opposing fighters. There are multiple blasts and they can not be reflected.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Squirtle uses Hydro Pump as part of Pokémon Trainer's Final Smash; Triple Finish.
Kyogre also uses Hydro Pump to push enemies away without damaging them when released from a Poké Ball.

Trivia
- Kabuto and Kabutops learn Hydro Pump only in Generation I. As of Generation II, they are no longer able to learn this move by any means.
- Lugia is the only non-Template:Type2 to learn Hydro Pump by level-up, with the exception of Castform who can be a Water-type.
- Bagon is the only non-Water-type to learn Hydro Pump through breeding.
