The Power Plant (Japanese: むじんはつでんしょ Unmanned Power Plant) is a facility that was abandoned years ago, though some of the machinery still works. It is infested with Electric-type Pokémon.
It is located on Route 10, although to reach it, a Pokémon must Surf along a river which can only be accessed on Route 9.
The Power Plant is the only known roost of the Legendary Pokémon, Zapdos.
It has only one storey. In Generation I, some of the items found in the Power Plant include a Carbos, TM33 (Reflect), TM25 (Thunder), a Rare Candy, and a HP Up.
However, many of the item capsules littering the Power Plant are actually camoflaged Voltorb or Electrode, so treasure seekers should be wary.
In Generation II, the Power Plant has been restored and refurbished.
