:Yeah, I would agree. The only two options we really have is to have a search notice at the top of the page (which is how it is right now) or to make "Beyond the Rainbow" a redirect to XY070 and move the song's page to Beyond the Rainbow (song) (and then put a notice at the top of the episode page alerting users that the song is found at the disambiguated title). I would agree with you that an English title would take priority over a Korean one, since we're an English wiki, but there's no way (AFAIK) to make the search hit the episode page without moving the page itself. == Bulbapedia & Encyclopædiæ Pokémonis Expansion ==
Hello, cause the Pokéteca & Pokémon Land Wikis closed, I think it is necessary an agreement to introduce other Pokémon Wikis into Encyclopædiæ Pokémonis to facilitate communication and the exchange of information between all this Wikis. The Wikis from Wikia are a great example: the Spanish and Korean Wikis, WikiDex and 포켓몬 위키 respectively, have around 12000 and 8500 articles; more than Polish and Chinese members of the Encyclopædiæ Pokémonis. I take to demand the removal of broken links to Pokéteca & Pokémon Land. This will be easier to access the contents of the Wiki from WikiDex and others; and vice versa. Another way would be spread out through the account creation page on Facebook or Instagram. Google+ do not see it necessary.

title_ro
So wait, is the title_ro
parameter on Chapterinfobox
meant for direct translations or romanization? Because the name of the parameter led me to believe it was just the pronunciation. Schiffy (瀬藤健二) (Talk Contribs) 01:57, 4/10/2014 (UTC)
- It's currently being used for the direct translation. I just changed it to match all the other manga articles. Sorry for any confusion ^^' --ZestyCactus 02:03, 10 April 2014 (UTC)
To staff: a few splits
I suggested a number of splits last Tuesday. That means it's now been over a week, and there's either been no response or hardly any. For the majority that have had no response, there is little chance more waiting will result in someone responding. I understand staff must review these things, so I'd appreciate it if you could bring these splits up with staff and get back to me on whether I would be allowed to perform them when I am ready to.
Perhaps I could implore staff to also consider a different request I made just today. I made this page, which I think should replace this one. That's a big enough change I think I need some consensus/approval. I know no one's really had a chance to respond to my suggestion at the moment, but you'll have to forgive me if I'm a little pessimistic about the chances of getting any response given the above examples... (And I'm not exactly a model of patience. =P ) I'll be happy enough to remind staff of this one in a week or so if that's necessary, though. Tiddlywinks (talk) 20:53, 11 April 2014 (UTC)
- As you may have noticed, we're currently working through a backlog of splits. We're trying to work through the most important ones first, so these may take some time before being reviewed. Sorry for the inconvenience but just be patient for a little longer ^^' thanks for the message. --ZestyCactus 03:38, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
Sprite boxes
I apologize if this isn't your jurisdiction, but I need to bring something up with the Board. To put it simply, I'm tired of having to dig back sprites from Crystal, FireRed/LeafGreen, Platinum, HeartGold/SoulSilver, and Black 2/White 2 from the dusty corners of the Archives and putting them onto their articles, where they belong and are, you know, used. The main Sprites box needs to change to account for these missing sprites, which is something I can't do. If individual cells can be given to the front sprites from every game (particularly ones reused from previous games in the same generation), back sprites can have one just as well. Please bring this initiative to the gang, call up whoever's the Wikicode Wizard, and let's get ourselves a truly representative sprite box. Thank you for your time.
P.S. I do think Japanese sprites should either remain the same or be incorporated into the main sprite box in a way that separates them and shows how anomalous they are. --TheVeryBest 00:51, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
- Hi! I have brought this up with other staff - it is something we have intended to do for a while, however it's encountered countless issues due to inconsistency of which Pokémon have modified sprites or not. @_@ so it hasn't happened just yet due to it giving problems such as that but rest assured it is something that is actually getting worked on. :P --ZestyCactus 03:38, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
- Oh good. I won't be adding anymore "Other sprites" then. By "modified sprites," do you mean the Gen IV sprites that are insignificantly different from each other? Though it would be aesthetically nice to combine cells for games that reuse sprites, I know that this would give each Pokémon's sprite box different coding and complicate everything. I don't see how difficult it could be to add a few more columns and rows if we're just gonna build upon the current model, though… Oh, one more thing: How is getting the XY 3D models going? Still stuck on the permissions ordeal? --TheVeryBest 04:16, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
- Minor point, but are the sprite sections going to be renamed? 3D models aren't sprites after all. And I recall someone mentioning that there're full Stadium and/or Colosseum models buried somewhere on the Archives. If there are, are those going to be added as well? glikglak 17:42, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
- We could call it "Depictions" or something. I think the core series should stick together even though X/Y use 3D models, and we could have another box for side games like Stadium and Mystery Dungeon. --TheVeryBest 22:34, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
- If it becomes an issue, I would suggest turning the Sprites section into a "Pokémon by appearance" section with a sub-section for sprites and for models. At the moment, though, it does not appear to be a big issue. --Super goku (talk) 01:21, 15 April 2014 (UTC)

Possible new Berry templates
I've tried to ask Jo the Marten, head of games, whether new templates should be made for use with Gen VI Berries, or whether the old templates should be jerry-rigged to account for the differences, but Jo has not responded despite being online a number of times since I asked. Perhaps you can give me an answer instead? Tiddlywinks (talk) 17:20, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
- It's not my decision to make alone, but I will bring it up with Jo and Kogoro next time I talk to them. --ZestyCactus 20:12, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
Protean Ability, へんげんじざい = Phantasmagoria?
So apparently the old translation for へんげんじざい was Phantasmagoria, a type of theater invented in the 18th century which basically was more or less shadow puppetry. Someone undid this and changed it to Protean (which strange enough, Google Translate gives as a viable option to replace Phantasmagoria with)
So...what is the deal here...was Phantasmagoria the correct translation and the edit undone or was the edit correct?
If I were to defend Phatasmagoria as the correct one...I would take a guess it has to do with how the user can change their typing like how the projection on the wall changes...or something like that.
Anyways I brought it up to you because you admins are more knowledgeable about this stuff. Yamitora1 (talk) 07:00, 20 April 2014 (UTC)
- I apologize for intruding, but I have to note that I originally did translate it as protean. Someone just changed it phantasmagoria without our notice. へんげんじざい means capable of ever-changing appearance, so protean (capable of changing shape)* is also a viable translation for it. --超龍「Chao」 08:01, 20 April 2014 (UTC)

- If you go to "Preferences" at the top right of the screen when you're logged in, you can do it from there. Make sure you tick the box that says "Treat the above as wikicode" if you want to do like fancy colours and stuff. Make sure it links to your user page or user talk page (or both). See the Signature policy for more info. Hope that's useful! --ZestyCactus 03:33, 23 April 2014 (UTC)

Aim to be a Card Master characters
Can you go to the chapter pages of the Aim to be a Card Master manga and put down which Pokémon was used by each character so I can get an idea about who played what as I can't tell which side played what card? PattyMan 05:12, 1 May 2014 (UTC)

Scan
Do you or Ataro know what manga is this, based on a scan I found online? It is probably something related to Pokémon Tretta. PattyMan 01:41, 18 May 2014 (UTC)
- The art style does look similar to either the Pokémon Battrio: Aim to be a Battrio Master!! manga or the Be a Master!! Pokémon BW manga, but none of the raw collections I use have that page. Schiffy (瀬藤健二) (Talk Contribs) 03:08, 5/18/2014 (UTC)

Psychic
Can you confirm if Ash's Butterfree and Sabrina's Abra used Psychic in the Electric Tale of Pikachu? I know that the move wasn't shown in the Japanese version but the wording in the English version is a little confusing. PattyMan 01:51, 14 June 2014 (UTC)
- Sabrina's Abra I am going to call a "no, not a chance". There's nothing that even vaguely confirms the use of Psychic, only Teleport. Butterfree, on the other hand, in ET03 Ash calls out "Butterfree, use your Psychic attack!" though there is all capitals in the manga so you can't tell if it's a proper noun ("Psychic" vs "psychic") I'm going to say that's fine anyway. Seems specific enough to me. --ZestyCactus 02:30, 14 June 2014 (UTC)

An error in the Finnish version - notable?
I noticed that there is a printing error in the Finnish Adventures vol. 1 (just released). In PS008, there are two pages from the previous round, causing two whole pages be removed. Is this notable enough to be noted in the article? Արիանո 14:22, 25 July 2014 (UTC)
- If it was me, I would include it, so I would consider it notable! That is a pretty serious error haha. I want to buy the Finnish version but I have been lazy to search for it since there is no Amazon Finland XD --ZestyCactus 04:29, 26 July 2014 (UTC)
- Okey-dokey. I'll probably incorporate it to the trivia section of the volume page. There is only one Finnish bookshop that ships to North America that I'm aware of, but the volume apparently is not in their assortment (at least not yet, they are very slow in updating their website) and the shipping of one book would take 3-5 weeks and cost 30 euro (43.35 Canadian dollars). Ō.Ō A bit pricey... Արիանո 18:19, 27 July 2014 (UTC)
Pokémon the First Movie Trading Cards
Myzou asked a question on Talk:Pokémon the First Movie Trading Cards, and since you've made significant contributions to that article, I hoped you might be able to answer their question.
I was also wondering if that page should perhaps have scans of the backs of all the cards? Or maybe only for the sticker cards (since they go together to form a larger picture)? Also, are scans of the normal cards preferred over scans of foil versions? And/or is it at all desired to have scans of the foil versions of all the cards? Tiddlywinks (talk) 02:22, 28 July 2014 (UTC)
- I never intended to scan the backs, at least for now, since we already have the typed descriptions. Mostly, I'd rather get the fronts of the cards in there. I am also looking to update the other Topps articles to follow the standard I've set out here so that's currently a bigger priority than scanning the backs. Having the sticker cards backs seems like a good idea though, even if it's just put together to show what the completed puzzle looks like. I personally prefer to scan non-foil versions over foil versions if I have both, since I find in my scanner the foil ones show up kinda funny but the non-foil looks better. Again, I wouldn't prioritise scanning both for now. Maybe in the future we could show them side-by-side I guess, but since they show up funny when I scan them and it's the same image, I wouldn't consider it a big deal XD. --ZestyCactus 02:41, 28 July 2014 (UTC)
- I understand. I'll just stick to the fronts for the majority and I'll pull out non-foil versions from my extras when I start doing some scanning in the near future. It appears I've only got one foil card that I don't have a non-foil version of. Maybe I'll troll EBay or something (the collector in me really wants to fill out my collection...). Pokemon Adventures Box Sets
I just found out that within the next few months Viz is planning to release more box sets for their Pokemon Adventures volumes. First one for Ruby and Sapphire in September, and second for Diamond and Pearl/Platinum in October. Since this is a common thing with VIZ should there be at least a light mention of VIZ's box set releases? -Tyler53841 (talk) 16:39, 31 July 2014 (UTC)
- It is actually on my bucket list to make an article about all of the manga boxed sets. Basically my idea is to list each box set, a pic of it, info on what volumes are included, any extras included, etc. Since more are being released, guess that makes it slightly more urgent XD you're welcome to go ahead and start one, but otherwise, yes, it's something I've planned to work on coming soon ^^' --ZestyCactus 17:33, 31 July 2014 (UTC)
- The pictures aren't released yet for the new ones yet and it looks like a third box set is going to be released which is the second set for the mini black and white volumes. It doesn't need to be done right away as there is still a full month left. Here are the reference links [3] [4] [5]. On another note I did take care of volume 17 since the picture and info was already taken care of since as I do a free two-day shipping from Amazon I can translate the titles on the day of release and if you or anyone else do not create the mini-volume pages when the release date is close then I'll do it instead. -Tyler53841 (talk) 17:47, 31 July 2014 (UTC)
- One thing to help you down the road is that the pictures for the new Box sets have been revealed. -Tyler53841 (talk) 16:43, 3 September 2014 (UTC)
- Haha, I was just on the Black & White arc page and noticed that it said the boxed set was "due to be released" on September 2nd. That reminded me that I should go back and finally make a page for them, haha! Thanks for the tip, I will probably be working on this tonight (since I'll also be doing some manga scans). --ZestyCactus 16:47, 3 September 2014 (UTC)
- Speaking of tips, another one I should mention is that it looks like the mini-volumes will end at Volume 20 in February as the chapters are almost over. I planned to finalize this after the release next month just to avoid jumping the gun. Another clue is that if they release a third box set it will be the same length as number two. -Tyler53841 (talk) 17:46, 3 September 2014 (UTC)
- While it's a good guess, I'd avoid mentioning anything for now since it's basically just speculative. Probably they will say something in Diamond Previews or something when it gets closer to the release. ^^' Thanks for your help! --ZestyCactus 02:51, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
- Pretty much there are only 9 chapters left but I want to wait until October or even December first just to avoid problems. -Tyler53841 (talk) 03:49, 4 September 2014 (UTC)

Topps card scanning tips?
Since it sounded (and seems) like you scanned your own cards for the Pokémon the First Movie Trading Cards page, I was wondering if you might have any tips for getting good scans since your images look pretty good (to me anyways).
I tested out my scanner with some cards today, and it's a little short of ideal. If I put the cards against the edge of the scanner (so they're as straight as possible, though still not perfect), part of the edge doesn't get scanned. But if I move them away from the edge, it'll be harder to keep them straight/level.
These are the basic/best examples I produced: "photo" scan (2 MB jpg), when I had the cards all close together; "document" scan (15 MB png), when I had the cards against the edges and spaced out a bit (when I tried this with "photo" scan, it kept cropping out the cards into individual images...and not doing a stellar job of it); and "magazine" scan (16 MB png), when I had the cards spaced away from each other and the edges. (The darker "Pokemon at Play" is a foil card.) If you compare the last one to the other two, you can see how part of the edges isn't scanned. And all three also have slightly different qualities (at full size), and I'm not sure which is "best".
Should I just work with one of those and let the minor issues slide (like just straighten out any uneven images in an image manipulation program?), or do you have any tips to make better scans? And which type of scan is the "best" quality, or does it not really matter? Tiddlywinks (talk) 17:31, 27 August 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, all the cards I uploaded are scans of my own collection :) I suppose what I do is most like the "document scan", on the flat part of my scanner the bottom right corner has this little arrow dealie and if I line up the cards on that side, the part that gets cut off is the minimum. I line em all up on the bottom so they stay straight (I hate scanning things crooked). If I line them up on the top though or too close to the far left side, too much gets cut off, so I just line up a few at a time starting from that bottom right corner. Honestly though any of your pictures look fine, I would suggest the magazine or document scan if it was me, but go with whatever you think is best quality cause honestly any of them looks acceptable to me. As for individual cards, my scanning program lets me customise the part that gets scanned, so I intentionally leave a bit of extra space around each individual card scan so that I can crop it in image editing software after. The whole thing is awfully time consuming lol. Thanks for helping me with the scans :) --ZestyCactus 03:47, 28 August 2014 (UTC)
- I scanned my First Movie cards and this is a pretty representative example of what I came up with: 01 (1.5 MB). I just did some fairly conservative cropping for that (and some others at the moment) and you can see where the edge of the card stops. (Apparently either the sides of the scanner or of the ruler I was using as a straight-edge weren't perfectly perpendicular.) I'm wondering if that's good enough to upload like that or if I should try to improve that one way or another? Tiddlywinks (talk) 03:46, 29 August 2014 (UTC)
- Ah, that looks fine to me. Over time my pictures got better too as I got more experience scanning :P But that looks good to me :P Thanks!! --ZestyCactus 05:03, 29 August 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah, I've already got another plan of attack in mind for next time. But anyways, cool, I'll probably be able to fill out the First Movie tomorrow or the next day (depending on how long uploading will take). Tiddlywinks (talk) 05:42, 29 August 2014 (UTC)
- Omg, the article looks phenomenal and is exactly how I wanted all the trading card articles to look like from now on. Thank you so much for adding all those scans :) One day I'm gonna get off my lazy butt and upgrade all the other articles, too... just lots of scanning... @_@ but yeah, thanks a million! --ZestyCactus 16:50, 3 September 2014 (UTC)
- Seeing as you updated the Advanced article, perhaps I should tell you what I'm in any shape to scan and update so we don't end up duplicating effort too much. I've got all of series 1 and I was gonna tackle that next. I've also got significant parts of series 2 and 3, except for Pokemon cards (I have some but not a lot) and die-cut cards. I've also got a moderate amount of Johto series 1 (might be less than half) and a very small amount of Johto League Champions...and one Chrome series 1 card. I don't have anything from Advanced, and certainly not Top 10. Tiddlywinks (talk) 06:38, 4 September 2014 (UTC)

Thank you so much for adding all those scans :) One day I'm gonna get off my lazy butt and upgrade all the other articles, too... just lots of scanning... @_@ but yeah, thanks a million! --ZestyCactus 16:50, 3 September 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah, I've already got another plan of attack in mind for next time. But anyways, cool, I'll probably be able to fill out the First Movie tomorrow or the next day (depending on how long uploading will take). Tiddlywinks (talk) 05:42, 29 August 2014 (UTC)
- Ah, that looks fine to me. Over time my pictures got better too as I got more experience scanning :P But that looks good to me :P Thanks!! --ZestyCactus 05:03, 29 August 2014 (UTC)
- I have a good chunk of series 1, but that might be best left to you if you have literally everything and are already working on it, haha. I also have a significant chunk of series 2 (including the Pokémon), but very little from series 3 (just some of the chase cards and a chrome version of Porygon. what's the deal with these chrome ones anyway? I have Chrome Charizard, Chansey and Porygon) and I have most of the Pokémon cards for Advanced as well, which I will be doing next ^^' unfortunately i have zero Johto or Johto League Champions, so you are on your own on that one. I have no Top 10 either :( perhaps I will do Advanced and series 2 (you can always add your series 2 cards after), if you do series 1 and the Johto ones? and I guess series 3, but since neither of us has it complete, i'll just add my cards to your list if you don't have them already XD p.s. the Movie 2000 cards page looks AWESOME T_T thanks for all your help :) --ZestyCactus 16:33, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
- I should also go into my closet and haul out the empty packets so I can update all the jpgs to png and re-scan them...blehhhh lol --ZestyCactus 16:34, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
- Sounds good. I'll do series 1, then Johto(s), then series 3, and then series 2 (either whatever I have or whatever you haven't uploaded if you've gotten to it by then). The Chrome cards are apparently special rereleases of #1-151 in two sets (Chrome series 1 & 2)[7]. It apparently has a veritable buttload of rare parallel sets, and they apparently weren't guaranteed (that is, where most series had X regular cards and 1 foil card in a pack, Chrome packs apparently just included the variants at different rates, like chase cards).
- FYI, what I have/am missing of series 3 is: have Pokemon 118, 123, 124, 126, 128, 130, 132, 135-137, 139, 141, 142, 144, 145, 149, and 151; have the checklist; missing OR10-13 and OR16; missing puzzle #5; have die-cut #7. Tiddlywinks (talk) 17:47, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
- Okay great :) I scanned all my Advanced and series 2 cards, just gotta upload them and add the descriptions @_@ ah, so you don't have any of the pop-up cards from series 3, then? I have a few of those. I guess we'll deal with the chrome ones after we get all these done. --ZestyCactus 03:57, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
- Oh, I guess actually ended up just describing my incomplete subsets...I actually do have the rest (HV6-17, PC6-10, and pop-up 1-10). Tiddlywinks (talk) 04:07, 5 September 2014 (UTC)

I've got my Series 3 stuff scanned and ready to upload, I just need to sit down and do that sometime in the near future. (And I can clean up and upload my few Johto League Champions bits in a relative flash.) Will you be able to upload your Series 2 stuff soon, or else can you tell me what you have (or don't have)? I'd like to scan anything I have that you don't next. If you'll be a while, I could also make the Series 2 tables/texts. Tiddlywinks (talk) 02:33, 25 September 2014 (UTC)
- Hi! I've scanned all my series 2 cards, I'm just in the midst of cropping and uploading them. I just got busy with work and the Projects overhaul so I didn't get down to finishing that ^^' ideally I should have it at least uploaded this weekend :) --ZestyCactus 03:31, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
Image help
Hi can you help me upload these pics: http://sta.sh/02b2u798v19j http://sta.sh/01sruq6iyg9q http://sta.sh/032umt0voyw again early thanks. User:Animaltamer710:11, 2 September 2014 (UTC)

- Hi, I have uploaded a:File:Old Amber Adventures.png and a:File:Evolutionary stones Adventures.png. I thought that evolutionary stone image was more appropriate for the wiki since it had all four in one image, rather than two separate images. Nonetheless, I still uploaded them to photobucket if you needed them for some reason:
- Cheers! --ZestyCactus 02:51, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
- Oh, I didn't know there was already an image with all four in one pic, well I was planning on using the two in a gallery I was working on, the old amer looks great, thanks. :) User:Animaltamer709:31, 4 September 2014 (UTC)

Pokemon TV Animation Comic I choose you ISBN
ISBN10: 1569314551 ISBN13: 9781569314555 here you go, I am not sure which one is meant to be used, but since you made the article I thought I would give you closure on the ISBN finally being found. Creating New Pages and Removing Old Content
This weekend I began the process of updating the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online pages. In so doing, I have encountered two problems, which are described in greater detail on my talk page. I appreciate your assistance in largely helping me get past my beginner's learning curve this weekend. --Marlofkark (talk) 20:28, 3 September 2014 (UTC)
A question
A user has inquired about a page concerning Lisa Courtney, a Guinness Record holder for the largest collection of Pokémon memorabilia. Currently, her page is under Orphaned status, so if her page is notable enough, where's the best place to link to her page if we are to remedy that status? Berrenta (talk) 18:59, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
- I'm still thinking about this, I'll get back to you soon. Sorry for my slow reply! ^^ --ZestyCactus 03:51, 23 September 2014 (UTC)
Questions
Is this a better image for Gold's kakuna? 8 Also is it alright if i make pokemon templates for Cheren, Bianca and Shauna (Hugh, Tierno and Trevor for later)? User:Animaltamer709:51, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
- For the image, it's about six of one and half a dozen of the other. They're both fine to me. ^^' as for the templates, I assume you mean something like this, right? For Cheren and Bianca, honestly I'd skip it, since they only have one Pokémon each with a full article all to itself, so it doesn't really seem worth it. Same with Shauna - she only has like three Pokémon so I'd say it's not really necessary for now. Thanks for the message, though! --ZestyCactus 03:51, 23 September 2014 (UTC)
- Ok, so what about Wally, can I make one for him (when he gets more pokemon articles for him I mean). User:Animaltamer713:56, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
- Again, I'd skip it for now since only one of his Pokémon has an article. However, like any other character, if circumstances changed and, for example, he has a huge role in a future ORAS story and he gets more Pokémon articles, then sure. Same with the above characters. It's mostly just for ease of navigation. If a character has a lot of Pokémon with articles, the navigation template's useful. If most of the info is already on the character's main page, then skip it. That's why it's mainly Pokédex holders that have navigation templates - since they have more prominent roles in the story, their Pokémon appear more often, they are generally shown with more Pokémon, and their Pokémon often have character development outside of battle. --ZestyCactus 03:22, 5 October 2014 (UTC)

New Pages Question
I tried asking Ataro this a few days ago and haven't received a response. So, I'm going to ask you. Can the Wanted Pages seen here be created as stubs? Or do you want it so there is more info than a stub to have them created? Thanks! Adamws (talk) 01:48, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- Omg, please create the stubs if you have enough information. I've loafted on them because I didn't know what rounds are in them but if you want to create them even as stubs, go for it ;) --ZestyCactus 04:14, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
Question!
Hi there. I saw on the news page that you're searching for translators, and wondered if I could start the Swedish one, if it's possible of course. (HenrikBTechi (talk) 10:07, 30 September 2014 (UTC))
- Hi! We are indeed accepting staff drive applications for all languages. If you're interested, you can apply by this form on the forums. (You can simply specify Swedish under "Other" on the form). If you're looking for other ways to help as well, our article Pokémon in Sweden is rather bare to tell you the truth. ;) either way, good luck with your application! Thanks for your message. --ZestyCactus 05:23, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
Images
Can these images replace Tate & Liza's Solrock and Lunatone, since I saw Ataro uploaded a new image for Roxanne's Probopass.User:Animaltamer708:38, 5 October 2014 (UTC) [9] [10]
Steven's Metagross and Akira's Charizard
Do you think Steven's Metagross and Akira's Charizard should get their own articles? Metagross did serve as Steven's main/signature Pokémon in the games, recently appeared in the anime, and made some appearances in Pokémon Adventures. As for Akira's Charizard, Akira is the main character and did rely on Charizard many times, but the article may be short. PattyMan 03:05, 7 November 2014 (UTC)
- Metagross would probably be okay. Charizard I would not make an article for now. While it fits the notability criteria, I would prefer to expand the existing section before splitting it off into an article. If we split it off now it would just be a stub so I think the information is more useful in the spot it is. As it expands further it may be worth splitting one day but for right now, nope :P --ZestyCactus 07:55, 7 November 2014 (UTC)
ORAS manga
Is it too early to be adding in info from Pokemon Omega Ruby Crimson Passion and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire Indigo Wisdom, the new ORAS manga? Dogasu has some info about it though. On another note, I'm not sure if Ataro suggested this before but I was thinking that we should only list locations that have been named, called out, or revealed later on. For example, in the anime (although this example is using a different media), the Pokéathlon was located in Camellia Town instead of next to Johto's National Park. Cities/Towns that don't appear in the games have happened many times before. PattyMan 04:40, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
- If you have information, I don't see why it shouldn't be added. I don't know much about that manga yet unfortunately so it's up to you for now :P as for your suggestion, I suppose it seems logical. You mean how some chapters say like "Location: A field", right? --ZestyCactus 04:05, 26 November 2014 (UTC)
- I actually know very little about that ORAS manga but I'll do my best with the information. As for my other statement; yeah, I do mean how some chapters would say that such as your example with Location: A field. The same would apply if a character mentioned that they are in a numbered route or city from games. However, if someone/chapter mentioned a forest doesn't mean that it was Viridian Forest or Petalburg Forest, could be any forest. Many of the images of the locations I recently uploaded were all locations that were mentioned in the chapter, on a plus side. PattyMan 04:23, 26 November 2014 (UTC)
Black and White
Since the lockdown is over, I'll take care of the English titles tomorrow. Also if I create a new page for Volume 19 I won't list the chapters as 3 chapters until I get the book since I won't go against you on this. Also for X and Y, I'll only perform a page move on X's Khangskhan if it's nickname will be different. For the volume I'll leave it alone and report back what I learn first, though I'll still handle the chapter pages' titles myself. -Tyler53841 (talk) 05:16, 2 December 2014 (UTC)
- Once you get Volume 19, feel free to add the rounds to Volume 20 as well since it's the last volume. I just feel more comfortable waiting until Volume 19's rounds are confirmed :P I think Garu and Kogaru might get new English nicknames since their names are based on Garura (Kangaskhan's Japanese name) but we'll see when the volume comes out tomorrow and move it then ;) as for the volume itself, if it turns out to be different like I predicted, you can make a page for it based on this if you want otherwise I'll do it myself if you tell me which rounds are in it. If it turns out like the Japanese volume (extremely unlikely but whatevs) then you can just add the publications. I'll be getting it on Wednesday anyway so it's all good. Cheers! --ZestyCactus 05:32, 2 December 2014 (UTC)
Final Results
As you predicted Viz has released only three chapters with their release (as least it keeps the Japanese releases ahead). I took care of the translation of the titles for both X and Y, as well as Black and White, along with do the page move to create the Kanga and Li'l Kanga page. I'll let you deal with creating a page like the "Pokémon XY Vol. 1" (and Vol. 2 page) using the titles I translated and modifying the X and Y (chapter) page to improve what I started last night and updating VIZ's profile with the X and Y data if you want. Also I created Volume 20 for Black and White but I need help disabling the next template as there will not be a volume 21 and as easily predicted both 19 and 20 do in fact have 3 chapters each. At this point Viz will only be releasing 3-4 chapters for the mini-volumes. I also had Pattyman aid me with the Archive-related work for the Kanga and Li'l Kanga business -Tyler53841 (talk) 23:38, 2 December 2014 (UTC)

Gen VI uploads
Since Kogoro would seem busy, I'm hoping someone else can give me an answer on this, and the message on the Archives does say I only need to contact an Advisory Council member... I asked Kaphotics (on Project Pokemon) about X/Y and ORAS images and using stuff on Bulbapedia, and he directed me to a few links where I could find many things of interest. May I upload that stuff to the Archives? Tiddlywinks (talk) 11:42, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
- What exactly do you mean by "many things of interest"? --ZestyCactus 06:55, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
- I mean a bunch of ripped sprites from the games... (mostly X/Y, I think; some ORAS, I know). Wallpapers, minisprites, bag/menu components, and much, much more. Not every image is quite worth uploading, but there's plenty to work through if I'm given permission. This is a modest example of some of what I'm referring to. (It was SciresM who actually informed me it was okay to use that research directory.) Tiddlywinks (talk) 08:02, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
- So, is this being held up, or do I need to tell you something more, or what...? These things have been freely offered from what should be trustworthy sources. Just tell me what you need to satisfy whatever concerns you have and allow this stuff to be uploaded, and I'll do my darndest to answer to your request. Tiddlywinks (talk) 12:14, 23 December 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for the additional information. The reality is that this is not my decision alone — I still have to discuss this with Kogoro and the other archives staff. I understand it can be frustrating to wait for a response — but my hands are tied right now. It is a busy time of year for all of us with other commitments outside the wiki and I haven't yet had a chance to discuss this with the other staff. Rest assured that I have not forgotten about this and when I have an answer, I'll relay it to you. I'd just ask you to wait patiently for a little while longer. Thanks. --ZestyCactus 05:02, 24 December 2014 (UTC)
- I wish I could wholly trust in staff's attention to this matter, but sadly, that is not in my nature. At the very least, I will remind you of the strength of my desire to see an answer. Since the holidays have come to an end, I am sincerely hoping I can receive one soon now. If you expect some further significant delays, I would be very grateful to hear explanations as to their nature. Or if you need anything more of me, you have but to ask. Tiddlywinks (talk) 18:44, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
- Well, tonight I finally had a chance to discuss this with Kogoro and she says that spriters resource can be used as an image source. I've noticed we have most of the urgently needed images uploaded by now anyway, so what exactly were you looking to add? Sorry for the delay in my response, we've all been busy and this sort of thing is not an area of expertise for me, so I have to ask the other staff before going ahead. I wouldn't want to rush a response to you just because you're burning to add stuff and then it turns out I was wrong and then that would mean we both wasted time :P either way, let me know if you have any additional concerns. In the future, please try to keep image-related discussions on the Bulbagarden Archives, all active staff members do check their Archives talk pages as well. --ZestyCactus 04:38, 3 January 2015 (UTC)
- Off the top of my head, I still want Poke Puffs and wallpapers, for example. And I'll certainly be checking if there are still any item or menu sprites that still need uploading. I saw that some were, but I haven't tried to keep track.
- Okay, I'll keep Archives at Archives. I just didn't think it mattered that much, and I don't otherwise have reason to check there, so this was kind of easier for me. Anywho, roger wilco. Tiddlywinks (talk) 04:52, 3 January 2015 (UTC)

Pokémon XY manga picture
The picture for Vol. 2 of VIZ's release is up on Amazon so it would be just about the appropriate time to create a list of volumes for that series. Pretty much the cover picture is something completely new and it turns out that the picture after the final chapter in Vol. 1 is Vol. 2's cover picture. -Tyler53841 (talk) 17:41, 26 December 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah, I think so, especially seeing how long the BW series got, there's no reason not to now. I think we need a list page for the Japanese ones too... --ZestyCactus 17:47, 26 December 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you. One last thing to do is to update the template for List of rounds in the twelfth chapter of Pokémon Adventures. As long as someone can put up code for the Viz Media releases I can duplicate it when I translate the English titles much like I carefully did before with the Black and White chapter. -Tyler53841 (talk) 22:59, 26 December 2014 (UTC)
Moveentry Templates
I'm trying to add the split column like, for example, in Gen. III (RS/FRLG/E) and IV (DP/HGSS/P) and already contacted Kogoro regarding this, but as you noted Kogoro has been absent (the last edit being the 15th). Are you comfortable enough with adding the ORAS tag to allow the column split on those templates? This is really needed only for Dive right now, and I'm about to import a batch of Kalos specimens to check if they are even capable of learning the move, but wanted to wait until the tag was in before actually editing in everything. Dive doesn't exist as an HM in Kalos, hence why I don't want to imply that it does by doing a full column. I did include Wailmer and Wailord since Wailmer can be caught with Dive, and it can be used for testing purposes. CycloneGU (talk) 20:05, 26 December 2014 (UTC)
- I'll try right now but I am really bad with code to tell you the truth so I can't promise anything ^^' --ZestyCactus 04:25, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
- Nope, I'm in way over my head. I'll bring it up with the other staff though. Sorry! --ZestyCactus 04:36, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
- No worries, it's not a rush. I already figured Kogoro will have to do it. I could copy and play with it in my userspace, but I can't set it once it's done, that and it might be over my head too. I saw Werdnae, the former EIC and certainly a good person to ask, but he's also inactive right now. So yeah...when it happens, it happens. =) CycloneGU (talk) 05:09, 27 December 2014 (UTC)

- Oh, yeah! I got the volume a while back and I went around to update the chapter names. I'd quickly checked and I saw that Monta, Cheren and Bianca's names were the same, so I never got back to those pages yet until now ^^' looks like everyone keeps their Japanese names (well, except Bel, but she's Bianca in everything so they're just being consistent) and that Bōsōzoku King who is based on the Biker Trainer class is renamed "Biker King", but that's just a translation if anything ^^' --ZestyCactus 05:04, 10 January 2015 (UTC)

Pokémon Adventures chapter page idea
If you saw my recent work, besides providing the last three chapters english titles for Black and White, I also updated the trivia's on the remaining chapters and it got me an idea is that for that it can be improved to cover the volumes where there chapter collections are different from the official numbering since only the official volume number is listed in the volume at the top of that chapter page and I have a few ideas I can suggest if you have any interest. -Tyler53841 (talk) 03:31, 7 February 2015 (UTC)
- Ah, thank you for adding those trivia. I got the volume a few days ago but I've been busy so I hadn't had a chance to update the titles myself ^^' I'll always listen to any suggestions so fire away :P --ZestyCactus 03:44, 7 February 2015 (UTC)
- My strongest idea is to improve presentation is this.
For the trivia in PS461
- This round is also collected in:
- Pokémon Black and White volume 1 which is published by Viz Media in North America and Italy.
- Black and White Volume 1 which is published by Kurokawa in France.
The purpose is to keep the relevant trivia together and make it more presentable. It could also be put into its own section and handled a similar way but I think my first idea will work better. While it will start out with similar number volume numbers as the one in the infobox up top, it will later deviate due to the difference for that. Also for now a small trivia can be done for the X and Y chapters, but will need a similar format later in the future once the actual volumes come out. -Tyler53841 (talk) 04:25, 7 February 2015 (UTC)
- I like it, although I'm not sure if Italy needs to be mentioned... the French volumes should be mentioned, because they're a different format, but the Italian volumes are the same format as the North American ones. (Also they're not published by VIZ Media in Italy so it would get a little long-winded to name both publishers) so idk users can follow the volume link or the "in other languages" links on the
Epilang
if they want to know the format. But yeah I do like your format overall. so i guess something like
- This round is also collected in:
- Pokémon Black and White volume 1 which is published by VIZ Media in North America and by J-POP e GP Manga in Italy.
- Black and White Volume 1 which is published by Kurokawa in France.
or just cut out the Italy thing altogether and it's good. i agree that it is more organized and nice looking haha :P --ZestyCactus 04:51, 7 February 2015 (UTC)
- If you don't mind additional input... perhaps instead of in the trivia section we incorporate it in either the intro of the article or within the round template? So, something like "Collected in... and so on. ht14 05:01, 7 February 2015 (UTC)
- As long as it improves the quality then I am fine with the best solution for this on how it would be presented. If it is possible for it to be incorporated into that template, then I would like to include X and Y as well as it would be a good way to start it up before the larger volumes eventually come out. -Tyler53841 (talk) 19:50, 7 February 2015 (UTC)
- I might suggest to stick with the trivia for now. The opening line doesn't usually mention what volume it's collected in anyway (except for a few outdated Magical Pokémon Journey articles), and I don't really wanna mess with the code on the template at this time, although it might be good to think about in the future since it's also kind of inflexible with one-shot/non-volume manga. It also begs the question if the monthly issues should be listed with the mini-volumes as well. That would affect more series and might be a factor on me getting someone to help me with the code (code is quite a struggle for me). :P --ZestyCactus 16:01, 8 February 2015 (UTC)
- I am not good with code myself except reproducing it. As long as someone can do it successfully I can reproduce it since I usually preview when using templates. -Tyler53841 (talk) 16:23, 8 February 2015 (UTC)

In other languages
In pages with an "In other languages" section, should the French and Spanish names be marked with "fr" and "es" or "fr_eu" and "es_eu"? Especially in the game-related articles, where the European French versions have been released in Canada, and with Generation VI, where these languages can be selected no matter where the game is bought, it doesn't make sense to mark them that way when there isn't a different "Latin American Spanish" or "Canadian French" translation for the games.
Should Korean terms be romanized or translated? Consistency says that a translation should be used like with Japanese terms, but a lot of pages have romanizations instead. Additionally, if it is to be romanized, what is the romanization method to be used? List of Korean Pokémon names uses the Revised romanization of Korean and McCune-Reischauer methods. -Abcboy (talk) 03:31, 7 February 2015 (UTC)
- I would prefer "fr" and "es" over "fr_eu" and "es_eu" since it reflects that everywhere the game (or whatever media) is available in French or Spanish, those are the names that are used.
Langtable
actually links to a disambiguating "Pokémon in French" and "Pokémon in Spanish" page anyway. Same for "pt" if it's the same in European and Brazilian Portuguese. - For the Korean stuff, I would prefer translations to keep consistent like with Japanese terms. I don't have an immediate answer for the romanization style, I'd have to discuss that with the other staff...although it might not be needed anyway if everything's been converted to translations anyway. ^^' --ZestyCactus 03:44, 7 February 2015 (UTC)
Contest Conditions
Hey Zesty, I have noticed that the contest condition pages have the requests to add the information from ORAS. I have created this. I think that it can be useful because adding the ORAS information into the current template will make it way too wide. Also, some moves have switched their contest conditions (an example is Aqua Tail). Doing the split between Gen III/IV and ORAS contest moves probably would be a better choice then having all together in one table/template. Adamws (talk) 00:36, 15 February 2015 (UTC)
- Hi! Thanks for the message, I'll show it to the other staff the next chance I get and I'll let you know what's good after that. Thanks! --ZestyCactus 05:22, 17 February 2015 (UTC)
- Hello! So it seems that Kogoro's also got something in the works for this issue so if anything you may wish to contact her directly on that talk page I just linked. Thanks for waiting ^^' --ZestyCactus 06:23, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
List of Pokémon by National Pokédex number, "VIdex"
The issue at Talk:List of Pokémon by National Pokédex number#Multiple Pokédeces in Generation VI has been almost completely ignored by staff, despite bringing up what I believe to be a rather big issue. Allow me, then, to plead it directly with you.
Under List of Pokémon by National Pokédex number#Generation VI, the "VIdex" column uses unadorned numbers like "001" and "002", despite the fact that, for any such number, there are conceivably three different Pokedexes which that number may refer to. In some cases (such as Bunnelby and Inkay), this even means that two Pokemon are listed with apparently the same "regional" number. This should not be an acceptable state of affairs.
Earlier this week, I made a user page (User:Tiddlywinks/List of Pokémon by National Pokédex number), hoping to save staff the trouble of fixing the page up themselves and hopefully expediting the resolution of this issue. But it's been a few days and I'm not pleased to see that there's still been no response, despite resorting to a shout-out in my edit summary to the list's talk page. And so we arrive at my decision to finally take this directly to a staff member. I hope you can check my user page and save the changes into the mainspace page soon. Thank you.
(FYI, on my user page, I also tweaked the table headers so that the headers for the "regional" dex columns link to their respective dex pages, and at the same time I tweaked "VIdex" to something I thought more appropriate, considering that the new Hoenn Pokedex could reasonably be considered a "VIdex" as well...) Tiddlywinks (talk) 11:53, 19 February 2015 (UTC)
- Seems fine to me so I went ahead and updated the page. I deleted your user page cuz I figure you don't need it anymore (and it has categorizations) but if you want it restored for some reason then let me know. --ZestyCactus 06:23, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
X and Y chapter update
Just confirmed and posted the release dates for Volumes 3-5 of the Viz mini-volumes. However the real reason I am sending you a message is that it looks like for now Viz will only be releasing their volumes once every three months which means four volumes a year. If you decide to put this in the summary then it would be something to consider. On a side note at least there is a smaller chance of Viz having to take a break like they did after volume 8 of Black and White by doing it in a 3 month period instead of a 2 month period. -Tyler53841 (talk) 17:49, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
- Ok good to know, thanks :) --ZestyCactus 04:35, 7 March 2015 (UTC)
- One other minor tidbit is there wasn't any evidence this time about Shauna's Skitty having a nickname, but I know the next volume in June will have X receiving his Chespin and Charmander and I plan to keep an eye for their english nicknames as well as when Skitty's is revealed. -Tyler53841 (talk) 05:30, 7 March 2015 (UTC)
Username change
Hello. I'd like to change my Bulbapedia username to RobSp1derp1g. I'm changing the name to get back in the game, so to speak, after a few years of inactivity. I just changed it in the forums as well. Thank you for your time. Sp1derp1g (talk) 03:00, 7 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hi there! While I'm glad to hear you're planning to contribute more in the future, we only offer username changes to users who are currently active editors. You'll have to keep contributing for a little longer and once you've demonstrated that you're here to stay, then I can change it for you ^^' thanks for understanding! Preview Button Template
Am I the only one who thinks most people who are given that template on their talk page (I just used it, in fact) won't care about how it clogs up Recent Changes? I don't think many will even understand what that means. Shouldn't we just basically ask to use the button and leave it at that?
Thought just randomly came to me after using the template. LOL CycloneGU (talk) 22:52, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
- Eh, I think it's fine the way it is. In addition to causing server stress, it's another reason not to re-edit a page repeatedly. Every new contributor could become super active and learn a lot one day so I think it's a good idea to make people aware of features in the wiki software like that :P --ZestyCactus 03:50, 18 March 2015 (UTC)
Pokémon Adventures volume updates
Aside from the Black and White Volume 51 whose English release date I uncovered today, the English volume pictures for the previous 2 volumes before it are already unveiled. -Tyler53841 (talk) 15:38, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
- Ah, so volume 49 and 50 have cover artwork out now? As you may have noticed, I'm working on a ton of updates, so I can upload those if you'd like :) --ZestyCactus 15:40, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
- Sure. Also if you use the ISBN link to backtrace it back to Amazon for the US or Canada it is another way of checking which I am giving to you as some friendly advice. Just so you know I usually check the link first before saving it since I like to handle that kind of stuff carefully, same with template updates. -Tyler53841 (talk) 15:43, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
- Haha yeah, I am a lazy person so I often check by clicking the ISBN link too when I remember to XD (a lot of the time people usually beat me to uploading the VIZ Media covers tho :P) --ZestyCactus 15:52, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
- In my case I only check for things like that on rare occasions, also since I tend to pre-order that stuff it make it easy for me to notice when doing routine checks on my order list (besides comic book collections from Marvel and DC and other VIZ products). -Tyler53841 (talk) 15:55, 20 March 2015 (UTC)

Pokémon Adventures in Vietnam
Someone on Twitter contacted me to let me know about Pokémon Adventures being reprinted in Vietnam. They made a Bulbapedia page with all their info and sources: User:Yen01/Pokémon Đặc Biệt - Pokémon Adventures in Vietnam. Would you be able to handle this? --SnorlaxMonster 11:33, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- Oh man that is so cool. Yeah, I should be able to work on this over the next few days. Thank you for the heads up! --ZestyCactus 12:06, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
Pokémon in Vietnam
I have some questions about the Pokémon in Vietnam article:
- I don't know about writing a company in English. For example, is "GoGo Entertainment Co., Ltd." usually written with "Ltd." or not?
- Since GoGo Entertainment Co., Ltd. is the company that holds the license to the Pokémon franchise in Vietnam, should we specify their Pokémon Shops in the "Pokémon merchandise" part?
- With the same reason, should we create a page for GoGo Entertainment Co., Ltd.? Or there are not enough info to do that?
- I see you wrote the original anime airdates of BW001 as "January 24, 2014" in the infobox. Did you use the US time or UTC time, or that was jus a mistake?
- Should we update the Volume 1 cover image? (I don't know if the old one is better)
- Should we add an image (like this) for the Pokémon Pocket Monsters manga's part? UPDATE: Kim Đồng and GoGo said they're working to gain the rights to re-publish this manga in Vietnam, but it would be very, very difficult, because the contents are considered "not suitable for Vietnamese children" (due to its crudity), and the Japanese partner won't allow them to change the contents and/or pictures (which is nearly what Kim Đồng is doing with the manga Detective Conan). They have been working for this since last year, but as of now, no results have been gained yet.
- Should we change "Iris" into "Airisu", and "Dent" into "Dento" in the "Cast and crew" part, because of the HTV3's credit and website?
- INFO: About the logo, some sources (including Kim Đồng) said that the logo you used is official for Pokémon in Vietnam (including both manga and anime), and thus, cannot be changed for whatever reasons.
I will very appreciate if you help me answer all these questions. Thanks for your help! --Yen01 (talk) 11:06, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
- Edit: It seems on some episodes' titles, characters' and Pokémon's names are the trademarked ones. But on the credit, website, and some of Doctor Okido's Pokémon Live Caster, they (including Pokémon's names) are the transliterated hepburn romaji ones. --Yen01 (talk) 14:54, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
- Hi! I'll just answer them in order:
- Err, I'm not sure if it really matters, but we can use the longer name if you prefer!
- Yes, that sounds like a good idea!
- I'd avoid making an article just for GoGo Entertainment, though. Part of the idea of the Project Globe articles was to put all the information in one place instead of having lots of small articles for companies, voice actors, etc that exist outside of the Japanese and English versions. We do provide coverage of Pokémon all around the world in lots of different languages (I personally think this is a very cool and unique aspect of Bulbapedia), but we are still primarily focused on the English version (followed by the Japanese version). So long story short, any information about GoGo that is relevant to Pokémon should be added into the Vietnam article instead.
- Oops, I think that was a typing mistake XD I'll fix it now :P
- Is there something wrong with the current image? Did they post a higher-quality version on fb or something?
- Hmm. That might be interesting. We have a similar image on the Latin American page that a user uploaded, but I believe he uploaded a pic of his own collection. I'd prefer not to use personal images from other fansites, but if we can find an image from Kim Đồng or from someone willing to share a pic of their own collection on Bulbapedia, that would be okay too. Ideally, of course, we'd have individual images of all the covers rather than a photo of a collection. ^^'
- This one I'm not sure... I'll check with the other staff on this one. :X
- Yes, I've noticed that a lot of Asian countries seem to only use the red Pokémon logo...I'm not sure why, but I've seen it too :P
- Alright well hope that was helpful :P Let me know if you have any problems :) --ZestyCactus 01:12, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- So, to clarify, the shops in Aeon Mall are operated by GoGo Entertainment? --ZestyCactus 01:18, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you for answering! I have some new info:
- About question 1 & 3, I just asked because of my curiousity! I understand now. Question 5, I have re-tweeted the image to you. And question 6, it's a very old and illegal-printed manga, so I don't expect any image from Kim Đồng (but I will inform you as soon as they do). I myself don't have the manga, either. I will ask some friends if they can help me take a few photos for individual volumes in case they still have them (I'll ask for the Pokémon anime novelization series, too. But should I also ask for the first edittion of Pokémon Đặc Biệt?).
- I've had some searches, and it seams GoGo (maybe} is the company that has authorized KID'S KINGDOM TRADING CO., Ltd. to manage a Pokémon Shop opened on January 1st, 2014 in the "AEON Super Market" area on the second floor of AEON MALL Tân Phú Celadon (whose opening ceremony is on January 11th, 2014). On this news page, AEON also mentioned an area called "Kids Republic" on which the Pokémon Shop is located, but I don't know exactly where (I think it's the combination of all shops for kids). On AEON MALL Bình Dương Canary (of which the opening ceremony was on November 1st, 2014), there's also a Pokémon & Hello Kitty Shop which has exactly the same position with the one above. It's also managed by KID'S KINGDOM TRADING CO., Ltd., but I don't know if GoGo has any relation. I also don't know if GoGo has authorized for any other company. I've asked and am waiting for the confirmation from GoGo. Source: here and here.
- I've found a fan's blog uploading some episodes recorded from HTV3. Here's the rest of the "Cast and crew" I found on the credit (the names with tool-tips-text to the left is exactly what written on the credit):
- - Giáo sư Okido - Tạ Bá Nghị
- - Sakaki - Trần Vũ
- - Kojirou - Lê Trường Tân
- - Musashi - Ngọc Châu
- - Nyasu (Meowth (Team Rocket), I think) - Thái Minh Vũ
- - Pokabu (Ash's Tepig, I think) - Huyền Trang
- - Joy - Phạm Thúy Hằng
- - Mẹ Satoshi (Delia Ketchum) - Kim Phước
- - Giáo sư Araragi (I think it means Professor Aurea Juniper, not her father) - Quỳnh Giao
- - Junsa - Võ Huyền Chi
- - Người dẫn chuyện (I don't know if he is also the voice of the Pokédex) - Hồ Tiến Đạt
- - Kibago (Iris's Axew, I think) - Thu Hiền
- - Mijumaru (Ash's Oshawott, I think) - Kim Ngọc
- - Biên dịch - Biên tập đối thoại - TVM CORP
- - Phụ đề - TVM CORP
- - Kỹ thuật hình ảnh - Thanh Mai, Duy Quang, Nhựt Minh, Huy Tú, Tấn Trạng, Quang Minh
- - Kỹ thuật âm thanh - Minh Khương, Tào Tịch, Kim Long, Quốc Tuân, Phong Nguyên
- I will add their surnames later if I figure out. And, when we add these to the article, should we put them in a table or something? (I don't know how to create a table) :P
- I found an event from last year, which looks like this. It ran from April 26th, 2014 at McDonald's Đa Kao (2-6 bis Điện Biên Phủ, Phường Đa Kao, Quận 1, TP. Hồ Chí Minh), and each purchased Happy Meal would come along with one of some free "Pokémon BW" toys (named in the picture: "Eevee and friends", "Emolga Pump", "Genesect Magnetic Turn", "Light Up Pikachu", "Oshawott Water Toy", "Pokémon Telescope", "Mewtwo Gravity Ball", and "Charizard Microscope". I don't know if there was more, but the toys look like they were promoting for M16 and PK25 in 2013, even though those was not aired in Vietnam) until supply ran out. On April 26th and 27th, there was a Pikachu mascot that welcomed, played and took photos with children, and gave them free gifts, Pikachu hats and baloons (or until supply ran out). I don't know if this event was related to GoGo, but... there was no TCG cards. Official Facebook link is here (they have removed the official webpage, I guess), while some photos and video are here, here and here.
- While Pokémon movies, anime specials, Pikachu shorts,... have never aired officially on theaters or on TV in Vietnam, some channels picked up some of those translated by some free-subteams like Yumei-Anime on the Internet and aired themselves. For example, VTC11 has once aired M10 made by Yumei-Anime on their own channel.
- Remember when I said on Twitter yesterday that I'm not usually free (or, more accurary, not at home) at that time of day? Well, I completely forgot that 9:30 is actually that time, too, so I can't watch it! >_< I'll have to wait to 17:30, and if I see anything new, I will report it to you! Sunday is always free for me though (if I don't have to teach my sister, AGAIN), and I will be able to watch at both time! ;)
- COMPLETELY UNRELATE: The reason why I always mistakenly call "Kim Đồng Publisher" is because of their Facebook avatar! I will try not to do that again in the future XD
- I hope these info are helpful. Looking forward to hearing your reply, even on Twitter. Thanks for your help, and, have a good day! --Yen01 (talk) 15:03, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- Hi! I'll go in order again :P
- Thank you for answering! I have some new info:
- So, to clarify, the shops in Aeon Mall are operated by GoGo Entertainment? --ZestyCactus 01:18, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- Oh, okay, I saw your tweet. If you like the old one better then just leave it honestly haha, the other one you linked me is also nice quality but it's good either way I think :P
- That would be great, for all three XD you may have noticed on the Volume 1 page that I put "second edition" for the new volume's info, this was to leave room to add info on the first edition if it was ever found! i think it would be very cool especially since you mentioned info on this era in Vietnam is particularly rare.
- Okay, that helps me understand a lot better, thanks! I'll wait til you have the confirmation from GoGo (just so we don't accidentally post wrong information) and then we can add that to the merchandise section on the article :)
- Ah, that's awesome! I seem to recall when Project Globe started that we were supposed to avoid tables. But it ends up being pretty boring. I think Thailand ended up in a point form list. We'll just continue the format as it is for now, I guess. (Once you get the surnames anyway)
- That's cool, we can add that to the Merchandise section (and I think there's a McDonald's article somewhere that can be added to...)
Some new info:
- I've just added some surnames into my last reply. Is it against the rules? Anyway, it's very hard to find their surnames, since the credit doesn't show them, and I haven't found much info about them on the Internet (especially the Crew). There are many more voice actors, and some voice actors may act for different characters, but I don't know for detail. I will update as soon as I find more.
- I have watched an episode. The Pokémon are still dubbed (I believe them now, it's horrible!), and the OP & ED themes still haven't changed since BW001. In the opening theme, the series' title is just the red "Pokémon" logo, no BW, no Best Whises, no season 2, no nothing. In some recent episodes, started from BW070, the translated lyrics was added as subtitle in the ending theme, while the line "Phụ đề - TVM CORP" is added to the credit.
- I'm sorry but I haven't got the answer from GoGo yet. But I've just thought that, maybe, just maybe, the foundation of Kid's Kingdom VN is related some ways to GoGo? And it seems GoGo also produce their own Pokémon-products, as can be seen here. Additionally, from April 5th to May 11th, 2014, by purchasing Pokémon shirts or school-bags (most are produced by GoGo) at Pokémon Shop in AEON MALL Tân Phú Celadon, customers would get a free 2014 calendar that features BW anime (source: here). On some days around May 30th, 2014, each purchase here came with a "Pokémon BW" poster from Takara Tomy that has "more than 600 Pokémon" (I see 648, from Bulbasaur to Meloetta. It has some Pokémon's Form differences, too). Images: here.
- Some events:
- 1/ On January 11th - 13th, 2014, an opening events was held at Pokémon Shop in AEON MALL Tân Phú Celadon, in which customers could play, take photos with and receive Pokémon balloons from a Pikachu mascot (some photo and video: here and here).
- 2/ Also in the same mall, on August 2nd, 3rd, 7th and 10th, 2014, a Pikachu mascot visited the CALPIS mini Shop during their event (which ran from August 1st - 10th, 2014; each bunch of CALPIS milk came with a "Pokémon BW" sticker; supply could run out before the end date) between 10am and 10pm and took photos with kids (they also recalled a Pikachu event in 2013, but I don't know details). Source: here, here, here and here.
- 3/ On some days
before(I said "before"? It's actually "after". Oops!) the opening ceremony of AEON MALL Bình Dương Canary, there was an opening event at the Pokémon & Hello Kitty Shop located there: Some (I see 2) Pikachu mascots at there; and there was a game called "Ghép Hình với Pokémon" which people could bought tickets to play with some kinds of puzzle boxes (each ticket costs 12000 VND and can only be used to play once by one player from age 3-10; player age below 3 could receive helps from parents), if player could solve a puzzle within 1 minute, he/she will be rewarded with a "Pokémon BW" anime poster (maybe corresponding to the difficulty level which that player had chosen to play before). Source and images: here, here, here and here. - 4/ At all of these events (including the McDonald's one), the people that work at those places all seem to wear Pikachu hats.
- Last question: Why are we supposed to avoid tables? It sounds weird.
Thanks for reading. Have a good day! --Yen01 (talk) 16:33, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
- UPDATE:
- 1/ On April 4th, 2015, Kim Đồng said that 5 of the people who Like, Share this album and Comment the reason they love Pokémon would receive a free Volume 1. here is the winner list announced on April 5th, winner would have to email their info like name, address, phone number, facebook link... with the text "Nhận sách Pokémon tập 1" to receive reward.
- 2/ And on April 6th, 2015, in a contest name "kHOE POKÉMON ĐẶC BIỆT tập 1" they said 3 people who comment the best image and caption of their own new Volume 1 on this post would receive figures. Here is a list of entries from the "Selfie cùng Pikachu" contest, and here is some image from the event. (Winners are announced, see below)
- 3/ No winners of
those events/contestsPOKÉMON - TỚ CHỌN CẬU have been announced yet (see below).
- UPDATE:
- I'm looking forward to hearing your reply (I have 2 questions last night (my timezone)). Thanks for all of your help! --Yen01 (talk) 04:08, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
- So, is the McDonald's promotion the same as the one that appeared in Japan in 2012? Or is it just similar? I'm wondering if we should just add all the voice actors now and add the surnames later as we find them. I forgot exactly how I got the "no tables" rule in my head, and I did some searching...turns out the user who founded the project, electAbuzzzz, asked me not to use a table when I made the Latin America article for the first time. He never explained why (and he hasn't been to Bulbapedia in many years) but I guess he wants something like the big section we now have on the Latin America page, or something like on the Israel page. I'm wondering if we should just use a table after all though. Like Thailand has a list format which is practically the same thing and I just noticed South Asia has a table anyway!! okay you know what I am doing a table. the Vietnam dub only started with Best Wishes series, so the info is very simple. (it's not like some countries where the voice cast changes a lot). but anyway yeah that is my explanation XD
- I'm going to work on the event stuff another day because I don't want to get too overwhelmed, but I've added some stuff mentioned above. Let me know if there are any problems. Feel free to add some of the event stuff or anything you want to the article too, if you're comfortable with it. If you do add to the event section, be sure to mention them in chronological order of occurrence. If the section gets too big, maybe only mention the really important ones. But seems like there's just a couple? anyway as usual let me know if there are any problems :) --ZestyCactus 05:09, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for all of your replies!
- 1/ And here's the good news: I've got the confirmation! GoGo said the two Pokémon Shops is the cooperation of 3 companies: GoGo Entertainment Co., Ltd., KID'S KINGDOM TRADING CO., Ltd., and AEON Vietnam (the Vietnam branch of AEON Co., Ltd.).
- 2/ About the McDonald's event, no, it's just similar, not exactly the same (I just gave the link as an example), but I don't know if there was actually a same event somewhere on the world :p And, I just intended to write those events only for information and easy handle in the future; so no need to add them into the article right now, just add them whenever you like. I don't want to rush either.
- 3/ About the tables, thanks for your explaination! If you feel like you don't want to add table, it's OK, because I was just curious! But if you do add it, I won't stop you!
- 4/ For the episode's titles, I found a lot of recorded episodes and the titles are the ones written on the screen, so it's official. I can also hear the titles of the first 14 episodes, too, but I can't see those texts (because those videos has display-errors), so I'm not sure about the spelling of the proper names or the punctuation marks (mostly exclamation marks) in those titles. There is no other place writing the titles outside the episodes themselves. But the problem is... HTV3 has made too many mistakes. I will add the ones with no HTV3's mistake first, and the others: I must ask you what I should do with them. And I also have the OP Text, too, and... it has mistakes, too!
- 5/ And today, I found this user Magicknight94 who add some HTV3 names/titles, while these users (Meo3chan, who said something about Pokémon in Vietnam in his/her Talkpage, and Buubuu, who I think is the leader of Yumei-Anime) have added the first 23 titles of the Original series. Should I contact them for help? Thanks for all of your help! --Yen01 (talk) 10:27, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
- UPDATES ABOUT THE ANIME:
- 1/ Started from BW070, the translated lyrics was added as subtitle (not karaoke) in the ending theme, while the line "Phụ đề - TVM CORP" is added to the credit.
- 2/ On the top of the screen, while the anime is airing, there was a text said "BẠN ĐANG XEM POKÉMON", but started from BW059, this was changed to "BẠN ĐANG XEM POKÉMON - PHẦN MỚI, before reverting back to normal from BW085 (the first episode of Best Wishes! Season 2 in Japan).
- 3/ The scene at the beginning of each Thời sự trực tiếp Pokémon của Tiến sĩ Okido (which is like the camera is recording from above, and there is a female voice saying the name of the segment) is the only scene in the anime that the Japanese text can be seen (in this case is オーキド博士のポケモンライブキャスター in a rectangle above, and below is the Vietnamese ones); but started from BW086, this scene was cut (is this dub edits?).
- 4/ In this segment and in the anime talk, the Professors is written/refered as "Tiến sĩ", while in the credit, it is "Giáo sư".
- 5/ It's confirmed that the Items and Abilities are also translated into Vietnamese (I've just watched some episodes). --Yen01 (talk) 16:40, 13 April 2015 (UTC)

- Thanks for all of your replies!
- UPDATE EVENTS:
- 1/ On April 13th, Kim Đồng Publishing House has announced the winners of 2 contests "(Selfie cùng Pikachu" (which let fans voted from April 5th to 12th), and "kHOE POKÉMON ĐẶC BIỆT tập 1)" here. I also corrected and added a few info and result about these contests (far} above. They said that each winner must email their personal information to bancuakimdong@gmail.com, and then the rewards will be sent as soon as Volume 2 is released. They also stated that they will announce the winners of "POKÉMON - TỚ CHỌN CẬU" in the future, after they have finished arranging the tour to the print factory.
- 2/ On the official Pokémon VN Facebook page, a new contest event has been announced here on April 14th, name "CHỤP ẢNH BỘ SƯU TẬP POKÉMON - NHẬN QUÀ TẶNG", which requires participants take photos of their own Pokémon collection (anything that relates to Pokémon) and send them along with their names, personal information and Facebook link to tuanhuy@gge-vn.com (participants can be from anywhere in Vietnam, not just Hanoi). Emails will be accepted from April 14th to 21st, and they will be posted to the Facebook page for fans to vote. Votes will be counted by the number of Like & Share, with 1 share = 3 likes. Each of the 3 winners will receive 2 Pokémon calendars + 1 poster with (I guess more than) 600 Pokémon follow the order in the Pokédex + 1 Pikachu paper hat.
- I just inform you these, so no need to add them to the article immediately! :D Thanks for all of your help! And, have a good day! --Yen01 (talk) 09:41, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
- I'm looking forward to hearing your reply (I have 2 questions last night (my timezone)). Thanks for all of your help! --Yen01 (talk) 04:08, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
- UPDATE: The result and 3 winners of the contest "CHỤP ẢNH BỘ SƯU TẬP POKÉMON - NHẬN QUÀ TẶNG" have been announced here and here. 1 more winner has also been chosen as a "consolation prize" (I don't know if this word is right) - that's the one who ranked the 4th place in the contest. More contests are said to be held in the future. (And, Volume 2 hasn't been out yet). --Yen01 (talk) 14:16, 23 April 2015 (UTC)

Archived talk page fixes
Hey Zesty, I noticed that there are two links in the wanted pages that are remnants from deleted redirect pages on some archived talk pages and I was wondering if you could fix them. The first is here and the second is here. Thanks! Adamws (talk) 17:39, 21 April 2015 (UTC)
Article
I asked Jo regarding Morty's Gengar having its own article before but she appeared to be too busy. I had it created on my userspace because of its status of being Morty's signature Pokémon and appeared in games, anime, manga, and as a TCG card. I also created one for Alain's Charizard which appears to be ready for mainspace unless Charizard needed to do more. PattyMan 00:22, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
- Forgive the lateness of my reply. They look fine, I will run them past the other members of the Editorial Board for final approval. --ZestyCactus 15:32, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
Box Set update
Viz has revealed information on their next two box sets for the Pokémon Adventures Box Set project, which these two are not too surprising. First on September 1 is the release of the third and final box set for the Black and White mini-volumes. [13] Then on October 6, the same day as the release of the ninth and final volume of the regular Black and White Volumes is the boxset that will have both the FireRed/LeafGreen and Emerald arcs. [14] Also right now the cover for the Black and White boxset has been revealed, while the FireRed, LeafGreen, and Emerald one has not so there is at least one picture you can upload. -Tyler53841 (talk) 21:17, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
Changing Username
Could you help me? I want to change my username.--JasonL (Talk) 02:24, 9 May 2015 (UTC)
- Whoa, hey, hey, hey. That is not the way to change your name in your signature. If you really want to change your username, please provide a good, valid reason. Changing usernames is discouraged because it seveerly drains the system resources of the server. You might want to go to your talk page first to see my message. So decide carefully first. Reply if you have decided to change your username. Also, please specify what is the new username you want. Thank you! --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 00:41, 10 May 2015 (UTC)
- JasonL, if you have a valid reason for changing your username aside from this signature fiasco, please share it with me and we can discuss it further. (As per the username policy, usernames may only be changed one time ever and for a valid reason because as Pokéfan95 mentioned, it is very taxing on our server resources.) Thank you! --ZestyCactus 04:00, 10 May 2015 (UTC)
Featured Articles
I noticed that Bulbapedia has the same featured articles since November 14, 2010. Sinnoh is the most recent article to be featured. I posted this on Bulbapedia's main page's and featured article candidate's talk page, but no one replied. They are five articles pending right now and it has been the same for as long as I can remember. ----Ethan (Discussion) 03:19, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
- As you've observed, Featured Article project has sort of fallen to the back burner. I can't speak for all of the staff, but I'd personally like to see Featured Articles come back one day, and I know I'm not alone on this matter. Unfortunately, it's currently a low-level priority as we have been dedicating a lot of time to more urgent matters such as getting through the backlog of move/split/merge/mainspacing candidates. Once the backlog's been conquered (to a reasonable extent) then we can return to other projects like featured articles. Thanks for your understanding! --ZestyCactus 04:36, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
- So, pages need to be decided to moved to a page with a different name, merge both to one article, slit into two or made a mainspace page of which is more important than accepting or denying featured article candidates. If that is the case then what pages need to be moved/split/merged/mainspaced? ----Ethan (Discussion) 14:51, 22 May 2015 (UTC)
- If there is no way I can conveniently see which pages need to be moved/split/merged/mainspaced, that's okay. I was just wandering if I could be any help. Or maybe that is just the staff's job. ----Ethan (Discussion) 01:34, 24 May 2015 (UTC)
- The candidates can be found in the Pages needing attention but the Editorial Board are responsible for making the final decision on these ones. If you have a strong opinion about a page's fate, you can still leave a message on that article's talk page (we do read them and consider them when making the decisions). Thanks for your interest though! --ZestyCactus 02:24, 25 May 2015 (UTC)
- Okay. There seems to be many candidates that the Editorial Board needs to decide upon. Thank you for the info! ----Ethan (Discussion) 19:36, 25 May 2015 (UTC)

Deletion
Hey, sorry to bother you, but could you please delete this page for me? I really just don't want that to be there anymore. AGGRON989 02:59, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
- It is done! In the future, you can just tag it with
delete
and one of the admins (including myself) will see it and delete it. You only really need to notify staff if there's lots of pages to be deleted at once. (it's not a big deal and I don't mind, just to make it easier for you in the future!) --ZestyCactus 03:51, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
Header issue
I noticed how some of the headers that feature their own media section are different. They keep getting changed to this:
In the anime
History
Personality and characteristics
Moves used
It implies that the last two are separate from their own media section instead of with that section. A consencus would be needed since the headers are constantly changed back and forth. An example is on Bruno's Onix page. PattyMan 04:57, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
- I completely agree with you. I'm a big fan of keeping things consistent. In this particular case, the Personality and characteristics/Moves used should be under the "In the anime" heading, since the personality and moves listed are only from the anime anyway. I suspect for most articles, that should be the case — I can't even think of any reason for it not to be like that tbh. I'm not sure if I'm even aware of a character that doesn't have significant differences between media that would require a single "personality and characteristics" instead (even if the character didn't get much character development in other media, the personality and characteristics should still be listed under the anime, because that's where the character development is. all the other appearances should keep to themselves) so yeah long story short it should be changed to under the anime XD --ZestyCactus 05:20, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
Sorry to trouble you
Friend, I must begin by asking your pardon; it has been some time since I was last active on Bulbapedia, and I hope you will not think it too strange that I am approaching you after such a long delay.
Now then, a while ago I brought to your attention a glitch that I discovered in Pokémon Red wherein if the bicycle-mounted player should fall through one of the holes in Victory Road, thereby losing his bicycle, the Bicycle theme will continue to play until the player enters a battle, leaves the dungeon, or changes floors. Snorlax Monster helpfully found a video of the same phenomenon in Blue, but before the quirk could be added to the list of glitches, we had to see whether it occurs in Yellow. You very kindly volunteered to check, as I, no longer having a copy of the game, could not and cannot; however, at the time, you said that you had recently deleted your game and had not yet anew progressed to Victory Road, where the anomaly could be investigated. And so--after my thoughtless absence, for which, again, I am sorry--I ask now whether you have done so or if, not having done so, you might refer me to a user who has progressed thus far in Yellow that we may ask him, if such an action seems appropriate.
I see now that there is talk of splitting the list of Generation One glitches, a separate page set aside for minor glitches; if that were to happen, my glitch would certainly go to the latter! Nonetheless, if we could publish the finding, I would be very obliged to you. Sincerely, Erythro (talk) 03:07, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
- Hopefully I'm not intruding, but after seeing this post I became curious myself. I hope this is helpful. The video shows someone getting onto a Bicycle but NO Bicycle music playing; the Victory Road music continues, meaning that the glitch cannot possibly occur as there is no Bicycle music. After the battle, the Victory Road music keeps playing on the Bicycle. This is just based on a quick Youtube search, and it may be possible this is a glitch itself. CycloneGU (talk) 04:27, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
- No trouble (either of you). I had the same result (the no music thing). Weird how one glitch is replaced by another XD --ZestyCactus 05:30, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you both for your investigations! I should say that the video is indeed helpful; it is very good to have closure on the issue. If I may ask another question, how shall I (or we) proceed with adding the glitch to the list of glitches? My original glitch, I suppose, must go under "International Red & Blue," as it does not occur in Yellow; should the Yellow quirk be filed separately under "Yellow" or merely noted alongside the aforementioned issue? Thanks again. Yours, Erythro (talk) 00:22, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
- I would suggest to list them with the appropriate game. It might be speculable (yay, new word) that the Bicycle music never comes on in Victory Road as an attempt to fix the initial issue; it might not be considered a glitch by some, but intentional (I think it fits glitches in terms of how the rest of the game works). That might be a better question for the article talk page, mind. CycloneGU (talk) 07:53, 20 June 2015 (UTC)
- I would advise against speculation...it's a plausible theory, but we don't know for sure, so I would personally just stick to the facts. As for where to list the Yellow quirk, I got thinking about it and realised I had better check my Japanese Red Version also (since you mentioned you found it in the International Red Version). Soooo after checking out a few more games (just for comprehensiveness...) I can tell you it's in the Japanese Red Version and the Japanese Blue Version (which is unsurprising since JP Blue is the source code for international RB). Due to this I would actually list it under "In all games" and just note the difference in Yellow there since the bug is so similar. (sorry for the slowness of my response...I thought I had replied here already XD) --ZestyCactus 03:14, 21 June 2015 (UTC)

Image help
Hi. I was wondering what I need to do to start uploading images. I have a lot of images that would be contributing to this site.Rahl 02:34, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
- If Zesty doesn't mind my answering (as this is a basic question), you can upload images at the Archives side of the Wiki. To try uploading, click on "Upload media" over there, which takes you to this form. If you have not edited any files over there, you will need to edit a few files before being able to upload images yourself. In that circumstance, I might be able to give you a few to edit (where I leave off something intentionally) if you need to gain permissions, and you can also see how file information there works; I have a large number to upload in the coming days, so let me know on my Archives talk page (assuming you can't upload yet) if you want to take up that offer before I upload all of them! Note
Thank you for adding the page of Pokémon Adventures XY volume 3. Took care adding of search template for Pokémon XY volume 3. Chuchu
Someone added the move, Fly, back to Chuchu's page even though it was removed twice since it was not confirmed using the move. I double-checked the pages and no mention of Fly was used anywhere. I wrote to Ataro but he was apparently busy with other stuff related to Generation VI of Pokémon Adventures. PattyMan 00:59, 15 July 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know. You're right that if the move isn't confirmed in the manga by name (or on an official resource like the official web page or something), then it doesn't count. like just because she flew, doesn't mean it's actually the move Fly. I have removed it. --ZestyCactus 04:10, 15 July 2015 (UTC)
Help
Hi, I'm xViper1030x and I just joined yestrday. You posted guidelines on my user discussion page, so I'm assuming you're a staff member of some sort. Can you tell me how to edit my user page like you did? When I try to it says There is currently no text in this page. You can search for this page title in other pages, or search the related logs, but you do not have permission to create this page.. Do I need to meet certain requirements before i can edit my own page? xViper1030x (talk) 14:29, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
- Hi, xViper1030x! You're right that certain requirements, outlined in our userspace policy, have to be met before you can create your own userpage. In short, once the wiki software marks your account as autoconfirmed, you're good to go. To become autoconfirmed you must have both made a certain number of mainspace edits and had your account created for a certain period of time. If you have any other questions just reach me and I'll do my best to help you! (I can't share the specific numbers on becoming autoconfirmed, though.) I hope you'll enjoy contributing to Bulbapedia in the future! --ZestyCactus 14:59, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
Sorry to bother you again, but I have one more question. I've been trying to edit some pages that I have some knowledge on, such as Sinnoh Pokemon myths and stuff, and I've been able to do some pages which I'd assume are "mainspace". But. I just tried to edit the Missingno. article, and the option to edit didn't come up. Despite it looking like it has the qualities of a "mainspace article", I can't edit it. Are articles like that restricted? xViper1030x (talk) 15:41, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
- Missingno. is a mainspace article, but that particular page is semi-protected. As detailed on the autoconfirmed users page that I linked above, some mainspace pages are protected so that only autoconfirmed users can edit it in addition to staff. This is generally to prevent spam and edit warring on popular and high traffic pages. In the particular case of Missingno., we unfortunately had a lot of experience in the past with new users messing with the page, so we had to semi-protect it. Once your account passes into autoconfirmed status, you should be able to edit the page without issue. Alternatively, if the edit is urgent, I can do it for you if you'd like. --ZestyCactus 19:00, 30 July 2015 (UTC)

GSC SPECIAL location
Merging it with the development leftovers article is nonsensical since it's not a scrapped element. Yes, there are copies of it that are unused but that's irrelevant. SPECIAL is a location available during regular gameplay. SatoMew2 (talk) 14:50, 27 August 2015 (UTC)
- I merged it because otherwise it likely would have been deleted entirely. I don't honestly think it's notable for its own article - yes, the name "Special" is used for the location internally, but it's obviously intended as part of the Pokémon Center and not as a separate location. The fact that it is a separate location is clearly, as you say, a programming choice, possibly to save on RAM or whatever. I still thought the fact that they were going to have a different map for each Center was still valuable, since that is really development leftovers, so I merged in your information there but added that opening blurb since just saying "there are different maps for SPECIAL" is meaningless out of context. I thought about adding something to the Pokémon Center page but it would've stuck out to since it's programming information, not gameplay information. We don't have any other pages like it and tbh I don't think anyone would ever really deliberately search for it. So yeah. I'm sorry if you disagree but I really don't think it's notable for its own article. --ZestyCactus 15:07, 27 August 2015 (UTC)
- People interested in the innerworkings of the games will definitely search for it and will find it odd that it is relegated to a section in a completely unrelated article, especially when the article was still a stub and wasn't that small. Plus you removed gameplay information (Eggs, Pokégear map and phone), not to mention that the article could be used for the info and images of the Gen II Cable Club and Japanese Crystal's PokéCom Club, since they are in fact located in SPECIAL. SatoMew2 (talk) 15:15, 27 August 2015 (UTC)
- Here's a compromise. I've noticed Cable Club doesn't have its own article either. Since the Cable Club is a recognizable location which appears in two different generations (and I'd expect the RGBY Cable Club was programmed the same way... no matter which PokéCenter you entered from, I'd imagine you're in the same map no matter what) that would be more suitable for a separate article. this could also provide details about the "Colosseum 2" rules from Pokémon Yellow and the gameplay information you mentioned upthread (Eggs, Pokégear map and phone) could be mentioned under a Generation II heading. however I think the information about the unused maps should stay in the development leftovers page. "SPECIAL (location)" could redirect to the Cable Club Gen II heading instead of the development leftovers page tho. i think Cable Club, a recognizable location which is named in normal gameplay, would be more searchable (and findable by chance browsing) but would still give a home to the information you've mentioned. any problems please discuss with me here. --ZestyCactus 02:26, 28 August 2015 (UTC)

- So did I, it was awesome! :). Could it be the word you wrote over is "Pokemon Center theme"? That played right after the intermission in Montreal but isn't in your set-list I think. --Evil Figment (talk) 17:30, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
- Oh, no, I remember that, it was right after the intermission here in Toronto too. I didn't know what to put cuz it didn't have a title card like the others. I guess "Pokémon Center theme" would do, though XD glad to hear you had a good time! totally worth the money! --ZestyCactus 02:55, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

Anime News Network
Anime News Network posted an article main covering the release of the two upcoming box sets and final BW regular volume of Pokémon Adventures. The main reason I am contacting you on this has to do with the fact this is the first picture I have been able to find for the box set of the FireRed/LeafGreen and Emerald volumes. Just wanted to give you the heads-up on this. -Tyler53841 (talk) 23:08, 17 September 2015 (UTC)
New Cover picture
Pokémon XY Vol. 5's official picture has been confirmed. If you can upload it and add it to the list of volume's page when you have the chance, I'll take care of work for setting up a new page for it. -Tyler53841 (talk) 02:36, 24 September 2015 (UTC)
- Done and done. You're good to go! --ZestyCactus 02:47, 24 September 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks. Have to admit both this month and October had important releases for Pokémon Adventures from VIZ Media. -Tyler53841 (talk) 02:56, 24 September 2015 (UTC)
Heads up
As you can back from vacation just to let you know that for the final regular BW volume, not only are the titles different from the previous mini-volumes, but also VIZ now gave the same English title to PS519 as PS517. -Tyler53841 (talk) 04:39, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
- Weird. Thanks for the heads-up. --ZestyCactus 21:21, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
- After what happened with the last 2 BW volumes, I'll definitely keeping an eye on X and Y when the full volumes come out. Anyway the end of the final volume gave a preview for B2W2's chapter, but nothing is confirmed yet. -Tyler53841 (talk) 21:36, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
Autoconfirmed User
Hey there, new user, not yet Autoconfirmed was curious as to whether you'd be able to give me a hand with uploading an image :)
--MitcheII (talk) 08:13, 6 November 2015 (UTC)
- Sure. Not a problem. What image do you need help with? --ZestyCactus 15:44, 6 November 2015 (UTC)
- Just the ORAS National Diploma image. Saw the other day that no one had a screenshotted .png of it yet so I went and grabbed one. --MitcheII (talk) 15:59, 6 November 2015 (UTC)
remind
Just a reminder that I sent you a message on the Archives talk page two months ago. PattyMan 01:09, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
- Eek! I vaguely remember your original message but it must have flew under my radar. Sorry! The moves sound reasonable to me. If you'd like, I can do the moves for you but it would have to be tomorrow or Thursday cuz I am too tired today XD --ZestyCactus 02:20, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
Upload the file Pokémon Adventures ES volume 1.png
Hi, as I have not powers to upload images I need help to do it. Can you? The source is: but you can find it in another website. Greetings. --Ipsilon (talk) 01:57, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
- Ooh, another set of omnibus volumes...this will be challenging. I have a few ideas for how to do the pages though after seeing this article [16]. Anyway, for now, I have uploaded the cover at File:Pokémon Adventures ES omnibus 1.png. Cheers. --ZestyCactus 18:08, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
Cover for the Second Volume

A potential release date change for XY Vol. 7
Had a good Christmas? Anyway what I need to let you know on is that Amazon sent me an e-mail that the release date for XY Vol. 7 was changed for July 5. At this point I do not know if it is either Amazon or an actual company release date change without a secondary source as this happened before on Amazon releasing volumes later than the actual regular release date with different series from DC and Marvel comics that I have been involved with. If you think that the release date should be changed for now then I will agree unless if another source contradicts it. -Tyler53841 (talk) 04:46, 29 December 2015 (UTC)
ISBN Issue
I've noticed that some book pages appear to have the ISBN in parentheses after the title in the main article, even though the ISBN is already listed in the infobox. I'm wondering if the ISBN should be placed in the article, or if it should only appear in the infobox, because a lot of the book articles are fairly inconsistent with this. Thanks! RetroKitty 05:39, 3 January 2016 (UTC)
- Honestly, I would prefer to leave it off the opening blurb and keep it to the infobox. I think the ISBN in the opening blurb is a carryover from before the infobox was made and after that nobody cared enough to make it consistent lol. --ZestyCactus 19:05, 3 January 2016 (UTC)
Question
Nice work on User:Force Fire/Trivia Policy/Manga. One question is what do you think of the trivia I had to make because of the final volumes of Black and White having different titles for some of the chapter when compared to the mini-volume releases and if it should be regarded as notable trivia? -Tyler53841 (talk) 04:55, 4 January 2016 (UTC)
- Honestly, it should probably be mentioned in the opening blurb and not in the trivia at the bottom. Since they're both titles used in an official English translation. The info about which rounds are in which mini-volumes is in trivia mostly because the infobox couldn't accommodate both that and the volume version and I wanted it included but didn't have anywhere else to put it. I would put like "Buh Title or Buh Title II" to accommodate both. This can then be upgraded to "Buh Title, Buh Title II or Buh Title III" bc surely Shogakukan Asia will have a different title. 8D I hope that makes any sense, haha. But either way, if it has a different title in an official translation, it's always notable, trivia or otherwise. --ZestyCactus 05:22, 4 January 2016 (UTC)
- Either way is fine as I only added it as trivia to keep it out of the way to make it less messy in the opening area, but if you want to do it your way you can do it. On a side note it is interesting that Viz's title for the volume version of PS519 matches that of PS517. -Tyler53841 (talk) 05:37, 4 January 2016 (UTC)
Redirect
Currently, if I search for "Beyond the Rainbow" I go to the page Beyond the Rainbow a Korean dub ending. I think it would be more appropriate for that search to go to Beyond the Rainbow!. Would you agree? If so, is it possible to make a redirect away from a page with the exact name?--Wowy(Talk) 05:40, 5 January 2016 (UTC)
- Yeah, I would agree. --ZestyCactus 22:24, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
Bulbapedia & Encyclopædiæ Pokémonis Expansion
