Double Team (Japanese: かげぶんしん Shadow Divide) is a non-damaging Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I.
Effect
Double Team increases the user's evasion by 1 level.
Double Team will do nothing if the user's evasion has reached a level of +6.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl Lucario uses the TM move Double Team, allowing it to create copies of itself for its opponent to attack, while the real Lucario sneaks up from behind to attack.
In the anime
In the Anime, Double Team creates illusions of the Pokémon using it, and anything touching itself such as clothes or possibly another Pokémon, and can be used to make the opponent think it's being attacked, while the user attacks from an unexpected posistion.
