A Sightseer (Japanese: かんこうきゃく Sightseer) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that debuted in the Generation IV games, where they appeared in Pokémon Battle Revolution. They later made their core series debut in Pokémon Sun and Moon.
They are very similar to the Tourist Trainer class. In Generation VII, Sightseers are depicted as young men and women in light summer wear, with hats and sunglasses, holding smartphones, and can be seen as an equivalent of Tourists from Generation VI. They typically use the more typical variants of Pokémon that have regional forms in Alola. In the Battle Royal Dome, Sightseers specialize in Electric-, Ghost-, and Steel-type Pokémon.
Two Sightseers of different genders can team up in a Double Battle as Honeymooners. Alternatively, a Sightseer paired with a Punk Girl or Bellhop, depending on the gender, forms a Tourist Couple.
Starting Pokémon Masters EX onwards, the female Sightseer named Naomi will be first Sightseer to playable.

In Truth and the Mastermind Behind Team Skull, a male Sightseer was seen running away in horror from the Ultra Beasts that showed up in Alola. Later, a female Sightseer was seen at Hokulani Observatory.

Trivia
- Sightseer Marcus is the only NPC outside of a battle facility to use a Shiny Pokémon.
- He is also the only Sightseer in Generation VII who does not use a Kantonian form of a Pokémon that has an Alolan. Instead, he uses a Pokémon that evolves into a Pokémon that has an Alolan Form.
