Maki (Japanese: マキ Maki) is a character from The Rise of Darkrai. Her English voice actress is Emily Williams and her Japanese voice actress is 中川翔子 Shōko Nakagawa. She was never given a name in the dub so this article will refer to her as "Maki".
Maki was introduced with Dai and Katsumi when they wanted to battle Brock, Dawn, and Ash respectively. Maki battled with her Infernape against Brock and his Croagunk. It is unknown who was the victor. Later Maki shows up with her friends again in front of the Space-Time towers wanting to battle again. She was going to battle Dawn and her Buizel until they were interrupted by a bright light over the two towers. Soon Darkrai showed up and the battle was posponed.
Maki and her friends soon discovered that they couldn't leave Alamos Town because of a mysterious fog. Anyone who tried to run through the fog would end up back where they started. Her Honchkrow's Defog didn't even work on it. She soon started to search for Darkrai, along with many other trainers, after Baron Alberto said that it was the cause of all the problems. Later on it is discovered that Dialga and Palkia were the real problem and she used her Infernape, along with the help of Dai's Empoleon and Katsumi's Torterra to try to stop them.
After everything was returned to normal, Maki participated in the Alamos Town contest where she battled Dawn and her Piplup and took home the ribbon.
Pokémon
Currently Maki is shown to only have two Pokémon, Infernape and Honchkrow.
Maki's Infernape apparently knows Flamethrower and Mach Punch while her Honchkrow is shown to only use Defog.
