Swift (Japanese: スピードスター Speed Star) is a Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I that deals a small amount of damage. In double battles it hits both adversaries.

Effect

This attack can only be missed if the foe is protected by Detect and such.

Generation I

Swift does damage. Swift is unaffected by accuracy and evasion modifiers, and can hit Pokémon during the semi-invulnerable turn of Dig and Fly.

Generation II

Swift does damage, and is not be affected by accuracy and evasion modifiers. It will not hit a Pokémon during the semi-invulnerable turn of moves like Dig, Fly, Dive, and others like them.

Generation III

Swift hits all opponents in a double battle.

Staryu. Staryu shoots out stars from the gem in the center of its body.

Skarmory. Skarmory opens its mouth a yellow stars shoot out.

Aipom. Aipom's tail glows white. Aipom then swings its tail around and yellow stars appear and hit into the opponent.

Ambipom. Ambipom's tails glow a yellowish white color, then she swings her tails and many stars sppear and hit the opponent.
