Surf (Japanese: なみのり Surf) is a very damaging Template:Type2 move teachable via HM03 in every Pokémon game since Generation I. It is used outside of battle to travel over bodies of water. When doing such, wild Pokémon may be encountered.

Pokémon

Blastoise and Lapras. The trainer of the Pokémon goes on the Pokémon's back. The Pokémon then swims through the water.

Rhydon. The Rhydon swims through the water. In battle, sends a giant tidal wave towards the opponent, damaging every Pokémon on the field.

Crawdaunt. Crawdaunt creates a huge wave and crashes it down on the foe.
