Trivia
- Since Waterfall is a physical move in Generation IV, the Pokémon with the strongest Waterfall is Gyarados. (Rayquaza and Dragonite have a higher Attack, but they don't get STAB).
- It is unknown why Waterfall is a physical move, as the animation for the move simply involves the user dropping a waterfall over the foe. Perhaps stranger, the info the move states that the user charges at the foe when using it.
- Waterfall is one of the two HM moves learned by some Pokémon by leveling them up.
- Due to how limited Waterfall is in Generation I, some players are unaware of the fact that it even exists in Generation I.
- In Generation I, Waterfall was Goldeen and Seaking's signature move. These Pokémon remain the only ones to learn the move by level-up.
