Darkrai (Japanese: ダークライ Darkrai) is one of the featured Pokémon in The Rise of Darkrai. Its Japanese voice actor is 石坂浩二 Kōji Ishizaka and its English voice actor is Scott Williams.
Darkai was at first mistook as an evil Pokémon for the first half of the movie since it apparently attacked everyone and gave them nightmares, as well as yelling phrases such as "Go away!" when instead referring to Palkia. It was only later that it was revealed that Darkrai was actually fighting off Palkia and Dialga from destroying Alamos Town.
Darkrai had a special attachment to Alice as it believed she was Alicia, Alice's grandmother, who helped Darkrai when it was injured a long time ago. Ever since then it had stayed in that garden. It also once saved Alice after she fell off a cliff. However, there are Template:S regarding the reason for protection as well.
After battling with Dialga and Palkia, it ended up sacrificing itself to protect the town and everyone in it. After Ash and Dawn asked Palkia to turn everything back to the way it was, Darkrai was shown to have been revived and was watching the town.
