Pokémon world locations |
The Power Plant (Japanese: むじんはつでんしょ Unmanned Power Plant) is a facility in Kanto that was abandoned years before the Generation I games, though some of the machinery still works. It is infested with Template:Type2 Pokémon.
It is located on Route 10, although to reach it, a Pokémon must Surf along a river which can only be accessed on Route 9.
The Power Plant is the only known roost of the legendary Pokémon, Zapdos.
However, many of the item capsules littering the Power Plant are actually camouflaged Voltorb or Electrode, so treasure seekers should be wary.
In Generation II, the Power Plant has been restored and refurbished, and provides power to the Kanto region, most notably the Magnet Train.
In Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, Zapdos can be found here once again. However, it is encountered outside of the Power Plant. It is currently unknown how the Power Plant will be affected following Zapdos's occupation.
