Route 1 (Japanese: 1番道路 Route 1) is a route in southern Galar, connecting Postwick to Wedgehurst.
Role
In Pokémon Sword and Shield, when the player first visits, they do not have any Pokémon, so Hop does not let the player enter tall grass. On the player's second visit, a group of sleeping Wooloo obstruct the path, forcing the player to traverse the tall grass; these Wooloo leave the route shortly after the player visits Wedgehurst.
Route description
On the route, there are two paths you can take. One is a straight, dirt path that slopes down as it takes you directly to Wedgehurst. The second path is located in the southeast of the route and leads you into tall grass. It continues to go east until you reach the second patch of tall grass, where it begins to go north. When you reach the third patch, the path begins to go westward until you reach the straight path once again after traversing through the fourth patch of grass.
