Palkia is a major character from The Rise of Darkrai. It has also been confirmed that Palkia will reappear alongside the other members of its trio in To the Conquering of Space-Time.
In The Rise of Darkrai, Palkia engages in a massive battle with its enemy, Dialga, and causes enormous damage to Alamos Town before being soothed by the song "Oración". After that, Ash and Dawn asked Palkia to repair the town and send it to the correct dimension.
In Giratina and the Sky Warrior, it was confirmed that Palkia would appear in the movie, but its appearence was reduced to a small cameo in a recollection of its battle on Alamos Town. However, its counterpart, Dialga made a major role in the movie.
In the teaser of the 12th Pokémon movie, Palkia, Dialga and Giratina are seen about to battle. In the trailer released on December 4, Palkia, along with Dialga and Giratina, are seen rising out of the ocean and simultaneously attacking a glowing sphere of light.
