Swift (Japanese: スピードスター Speed Star) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I. In Generation I and II, it is available as TM39. In Generation III and IV, it is available from a move tutor.
Effect
Generation I
Swift inflicts damage and is unaffected by modifications to the Accuracy stat and Evasion stat. It can hit a Pokémon during the semi-invulnerable turn of moves such as Dig and Fly.
Generation II
Same as before, except Swift does not make contact if the target uses a move such as Protect or uses a semi-invulnerable move such as Fly or Dig.
Generation III and IV
Swift hits both opposing Pokémon in a double battle.
Generation V
Swift also hits all opposing Pokémon in a triple battle.
