Trivia
- One riddle posed in Brock's Trivia made a pun out of Psyduck's Japanese name with 子を抱っこ ko o dakko, hug a child.
Origin
Psyduck's apparent lack of feathers and ability to fly, along with its claws, suggest that its design draws inspiration from a duck as well as the duck-billed platypus.
Name origin
Psyduck's name is possibly a combination of psychic, referring to its mental powers, and duck. Its Japanese name can be taken to mean small duck.
In other languages
- German: Enton
- French: Psykokwak - Psy is from psychotique, meaning psychotic, and quack; the sound ducks make.
- Korean: 고라파덕 Gorapadeok
