This Croagunk was made available to celebrate the upcoming release of the Rugged Mountain Dream World area, and its password was made available on IGN and in issue 76 of Official Nintendo Magazine in the UK. This Pokémon was promoted to have its move Poison Jab, a move that Croagunk can learn by leveling up or TM. The said move, however, is not known by Croagunk from the Rugged Mountain area.
This is the first time wherein the same Pokémon species is given away with a different moveset than that of the first release.
This promotion coincided with the Poison Jab Croagunk C-Gear skin promotion in Europe.

The password was revealed in the August edition of the America-only magazine "Nintendo Power" as part of the promotion. Unlike other promotions for this skin, the one for the US did not coincide with a promotion for the C-Gear skin featuring Piplup.
Also, Global Link erroneously refers to Croagunk as a purple-colored Pokémon in its announcement for the promotion.
This skin coincided with the Poison Jab Croagunk promotion in Europe and its password was made available in the 76th issue of Official Nintendo Magazine in the UK.

Being based on the location Eindoak Town, this was made available to commemorate the fourteenth movie. This special home allows players to view a trailer for the double-feature film. Also, by tucking in the event-exclusive Reshiram or Zekrom, players may enter an area of the Island of Dreams, where a Victini, who is interested in a certain treasure box, awaits. The area is actually the same as the Rugged Mountain, which was unreleased when the special home was available. By completing the game involving the treasure box once, players unlock a promotion that allows them to get a C-Gear skin featuring the Pokémon they tucked in. Tucking in the other Pokémon another day and playing the mini-game again allows players to obtain the other C-Gear skin.
Besides those, the area only features Pokémon found in the film: Scraggy, Emolga, Purrloin, Minccino, and Sigilyph, as well as a Summer Deerling (which reflects the real-world season in Japan when the movie was released) in a room with a Victini Doll—the same doll players can obtain via a promotion. The doll itself actually mentions the password needed.

This special home was not only made available to commemorate the fourteenth movie, but it was also released to commemorate the anniversary of Pokémon Black and White. Unlike the Japanese promotion for this, this was released after the release of the Rugged Mountain area, and like the Japanese promotion, the Victini Doll mentions the password needed to access the promotion for it.
