Ninja Riot (Japanese: ニンジャ·ライオット Ninja Riot) is one of the antagonists of Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction. He is a ninja and thief who works against his rivals Marilyn Flame, Argus Steel and Millis Steel to acquire a fortune through Diancie's power to create diamonds.
History
Riot appeared pursuing Diancie as it searched for Xerneas. It first attacked Diancie with his Greninja, also competing with Marilyn Flame and her Delphox around Avugnon Town. The two ganged up on Diancie and attacked it, but Ash intervened and told the two to stop. His Greninja was swiftly defeated by Pikachu, and Diancie escaped.
Later, Riot appears near a forest, disguising himself within the tree. He attacks Diancie, along with Serena and co., with his Greninja, and they attempt to fight it off. He reveals himself through the tree and battles Chespin and Fennekin, but soon Ash intervenes with Froakie and Pikachu, and they fight off Riot and Greninja. As he attacks Diancie, however, Diancie's loyal Carbink servants interfere to protect Diancie. However, Millis Steel appears and uses her Chesnaught to fight off Greninja. Diancie then escapes.
After it received the power of the Fairy Aura from Xerneas, Riot and Marilyn attacked in the Alearth Woods. However, Yveltal was awakened by the fighting and went on a rampage, during which Riot's Greninja and Ninjask were turned to stone by Oblivion Wing. He later found Marilyn crying over the loss of her Delphox and Yanmega to Yveltal. Having a change of heart, he removed his mask and offered comfort to her. Just as she accepted his affection, however, Yveltal aimed Oblivion Wing at them, and they embraced shortly before being killed as well. Later, the two of them were revived by Xerneas with the Fairy Aura. In the credits of the film, Riot — now dressed formally — visited the clothing shop where Marilyn had gotten work and proposed marriage to her.
Character
Riot appears to be quite ambitious in his pursue of finding fortune through Diancie's diamonds. He is shown to be a rather ruthless thief, relentlessly pursuing Diancie and unhesitatingly competing against Marilyn Flame and the Steels to try and obtain Diancie for himself. He is shown to do this in a rather stealthy manner, seen as he attacked Diancie as well as Serena and co. while invisible.
Though he appears to be initially hostile towards Marilyn, it appeared throughout the movie that Riot had romantic feelings for her. This is hinted at when Riot saves Marilyn from falling into the pool of water, and later when he comforts her while she grieves over her Delphox, telling her to forget about Diancie. His relationship with Marilyn is ultimately confirmed when he proposes marriage to her. This romantic feeling also appears to be mutual.

Greninja is Ninja Riot's main Pokémon.
Greninja's known moves are Water Shuriken and Double Team.
Ninja Riot owns multiple Ninjask. Two of them were used to carry Riot when he was about to steal Diancie.
