Heart Swap (Japanese: ハートスワップ Heart Swap) is a non-damaging Psychic-type move introduced in Generation IV. Prior to Generation VII and in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, it is the signature move of Manaphy.
Effect
Generations IV to VII
Heart Swap switches the user's stat stages with the target's stat stages. Since this changes stat stages, the stat stages can be passed via Baton Pass.
Heart Swap bypasses accuracy checks to always hit, unless the target is in the semi-invulnerable turn of a move such as Dig or Fly.
If powered up by a Psychium Z into Z-Heart Swap, the user's critical hit rate is increased by two stages. The boost to the critical hit rate is applied after the other stat stages are swapped.
Generation VIII
In Pokémon Sword and Shield, Heart Swap cannot be selected in a battle. In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, it can be selected and functions as it did in previous generations.

In other games
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series
In Explorers of Time, Darkness and Sky, Heart Swap is a move with 10PP that ignores accuracy and evasion checks. The user targets Pokémon in the front, ally or enemy, while also cutting corners. The user and target swap Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, accuracy and evasion stat boosts, as well as stat multipliers from Screech, Charm, Memento and Aurora Beam. This move is affected by Taunt.
Super Smash Bros. series
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Manaphy uses Heart Swap when coming out of a Poké Ball. This switches the controls of the players of the two characters closest to Manaphy when it launches the attack. Damage meters are also swapped, and if a character is knocked out, the player controlling the character at that time loses a stock (instead of the player who originally controlled that character). After approximately 15-30 seconds, the controls will be returned to normal.
Manaphy has a possibility of being able to swap four brawlers' hearts if all four are close enough to it.

The ends of Manaphy's antennae glow pink and each produces pink energy from them. The two energy balls find a Pokémon or human, and when both energies touch the opponent, their souls are switched. The switched bodies have their own voice, and their eye color changes to light blue. After a while, the effects fade. | |||
