Kingambit (Japanese: ドドゲザン Dodogezan) is a dual-type Dark/Steel Pokémon introduced in Generation IX.
It evolves from Bisharp upon leveling up after defeating three Bisharp that lead a pack of Pawniard in battle. It is the final form of Pawniard.
Biology
Kingambit is a humanoid, bipedal Pokémon. The blade on its head has grown tremendously from its time as a Bisharp, extending upward into a large machete shape. Its body resembles a samurai's clothing, and its golden, ridged arms are covered in curved, somewhat Ω-shaped blades. It also has a large mustache composed of two black, red-lined blades, and long black hair that is sturdy enough for it to sit on as well as ride upon.
Kingambit is flawed at devising complex strategies, but is still extremely powerful, acting as the head of Bisharp colonies and capable of leading a huge army of troops into brute-force battle. It is said that only the strongest Bisharp evolve into Kingambit.
Kingambit is the only known Pokémon capable of learning the move Kowtow Cleave.

Though it commands a massive army in battle, it's not skilled at devising complex strategies. It just uses brute strength to keep pushing.

Trivia
- No other Pokémon has the same type combination as Kingambit and its pre-evolved forms.
- The types they have are also the two types that were introduced in Generation II.
Origin
Kingambit may be based on a samurai and a shogun or daimyo. It gives an appearance as if it is sitting on a throne, specifically, the black and red motif is reminiscent of Chrysanthemum Throne.
Name origin
Kingambit may be a combination of king, gambit; both words are applicable terms used in chess (including in the opening known as the King's Gambit) and karambit.
Dodogezan may be a combination of ど do (very much), 土下座 dogeza (kneeling down on the ground), and 斬 zan (to cut or slay).
