But how do we know if it is day or night? I haven't played gen 3 games that much but i know that the clock we set is an analogue one and not a digital one. PS-I'm sorry for troubling u constantly with my questions.Auraguardian197 14:29, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

It's analogue, but it also says AM or PM on the clock face itself (checked in my game). And don't worry, I don't mind your questions. --SnorlaxMonster 14:38, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

Sorry about editing the bell tower article. I thought that it was accidently written D,P and Pt. I'm really sorry.Auraguardian197 13:37, 7 May 2012 (UTC)

Don't worry about it. It's an incredibly easy mistake to make. --SnorlaxMonster 13:40, 7 May 2012 (UTC)

?question?

why did you delete these glitches

o Bike music glitch

o Music glitch 2 (Above was an error i pressed submit twice) AWild------Appeared 14:42, 7 May 2012 (UTC)

The cycling music is obviously intended not to be played on bridges; my guess would be that being so long, most people would always cycle along them and so would never hear the location music. I didn't delete the "Music glitch 2", I simply combined it with another glitch that worked on the same principle and called it "Music memory glitch". --SnorlaxMonster 13:22, 8 May 2012 (UTC)

Yeah I noticed that right there. But you deleted the Cry glitch which actually should be called a glitch. In case you didn't take it in properly:

Green HP: Healthy cry Orange HP: Dodgy cry Red HP: Healthy cry (o_O)

As you can see, there is a healthy cry in Red HP when it should sound terribly horrible. - unsigned comment from AWild------Appeared (talkcontribs)

Oh, it looks like I didn't read it properly. I've added it back. --SnorlaxMonster 11:33, 10 May 2012 (UTC)

I'll try and find as many more glitches as I can. (I do this with practically every game in the world I like.) - unsigned comment from AWild------Appeared (talkcontribs)

Wanting to tell you, when you click to go to "List of glitch Pokemon in Generation Whatsoever", instead of going to a page of glitch Pokemon, there's just the national Pokedex for that game. - unsigned comment from AWild------Appeared (talkcontribs)
Those aren't National Pokédex lists, those are index number lists. And they include all actual and glitch Pokémon in them, so it is much more efficient to simply link to them than create specific lists of only glitch Pokémon in each generation. --SnorlaxMonster 08:04, 18 May 2012 (UTC)

Oh. - unsigned comment from AWild------Appeared (talkcontribs)

BW sprites

Not sure when, but some time ago I found this. There is a LOT of BW sprites there, probably all (split in Generations, and then Front, Front shiny, Back and Back shiny). They are gifs, though, but Archives has link to gif-to-png converter. Not sure if this/that could be used, but not many Pokémon have animated version of sprites from BW uploaded on Archives... Marked +-+-+ 13:25, 8 May 2012 (UTC)

The issue is that they are not 90×90; the sprite rippers have cropped them when they ripped them. --SnorlaxMonster 13:31, 8 May 2012 (UTC)

Template

I know that it's a minor thing but.. on the link templates page* the code for ash's friends is like this "Link template": Ashfr but at the "Code" column is: ashfr. Indeed they do link to the same page, but shouldn't they be the same ? Also, shouldn't * this page be protected along with the link templates page ?----DJWolfy 16:54, 8 May 2012 (UTC)

Made it consistent. It's pretty arbitrary whether it is upper or lowercase in articles (whereas I hate to see P, and will always change it to p). As for linking to other namespaces, you can link them like any other page, so Bulbapedia:List of link templates (or List of link templates). I've protected Bulbapedia:Bots. --SnorlaxMonster 11:33, 10 May 2012 (UTC)
Great! Thanks! But shouldn't the link templates page also be protected ? Afterall, it's the most important to the editing community of BP.----DJWolfy 11:50, 10 May 2012 (UTC)
Oh, I see. It was only autoconfirmed protected. I just looked at the protection tab and saw "unprotect" and assumed that it was completely protected. --SnorlaxMonster 11:58, 10 May 2012 (UTC)
Why doesn't this page have the "Contents" table ? ----DJWolfy 15:58, 11 May 2012 (UTC)
Pages need four sections to have a table of contents. Otherwise Mediwiki decides they are too short to bother with it. Werdnae (talk) 20:36, 11 May 2012 (UTC)

Manga

I think that Isamu's page is out of date because I took all appearances from his page. I did the same with all the Pokémon that appeared in the cooking competition.----DJWolfy 13:47, 10 May 2012 (UTC)

Wait, I meant I copied the format from Blastoise's manga section and just replaced it with the respective Pokémon so I could save time.----DJWolfy 13:50, 10 May 2012 (UTC)
Well, if the title contains lowercase for words that usually would be uppercase in a title, you should generally be suspicious and check the article. Translated Japanese names should not be used as display text for episodes/movies/specials/shorts/rounds/chapters. --SnorlaxMonster 13:56, 10 May 2012 (UTC)
Since that's a gag manga, nothing can surprise me, therefore I didn't thought of this possibility but I'll have them corrected later. Yes I know about using offical names instead of translation, but I thought that was the official name.----DJWolfy 14:00, 10 May 2012 (UTC)

Quotes.

Done (replying here since on my talk page I did reply that I didn't finished it). The only thing left that I can think of is the letter you find at his home after beating Elite Four, the one you read to get Beldum. Unsure if I should check it, though. Marked +-+-+ 11:19, 12 May 2012 (UTC)

Wait. Why you erased quotes for Champion battle (RS) and Meteor Falls battle? They should stay. I didn't had them as they were already in article. Marked +-+-+ 11:55, 12 May 2012 (UTC)

Movies

Still need the images for the movies in AG086 ?----DJWolfy 17:17, 12 May 2012 (UTC)

Yes. When they actually come on Pokémon.com though, I'll likely end up rewriting the section anyway. --SnorlaxMonster 08:10, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
Uhm, actually I thought that I should get the images before the episode aires on the site. Right today ----DJWolfy 12:51, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
If you have the images, put them in. --SnorlaxMonster 12:58, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
Problem is, I can take different screenshots of the same movie, I don't know which will fit better.----DJWolfy 13:15, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
Just pick one. I know what you mean, but you just have to be decisive. --SnorlaxMonster 13:17, 16 May 2012 (UTC)

How should I name the files ? ----DJWolfy 13:22, 16 May 2012 (UTC)

Like my images. "<movie name>.png". --SnorlaxMonster 13:25, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
I'm still missing the Armaldo movie and the Pichu Brother's one. I can't get those two because of the inappropiate placement of the watermak. Almost impossible to remove.----DJWolfy 13:32, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
Well, that's the purpose of the watermark anyway. We'll get the images eventually anyway, so don't worry about it. --SnorlaxMonster 13:33, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
Got 3 of 'em, check the page.

Btw the link templates page has some inconsistencies

 • the links for youtube are "Link template" = Yt and Ytu, while "Code" = yt and ytu
 • the Adv template should be adv since it is used more than the former, trust me, everywhere I added manga appearances that's what I saw, plus adv would be better since are not initials rather a short term.----DJWolfy 13:43, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
Also, why is there a type2 template since type does the same thing ?----DJWolfy 13:53, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
Template talk:Type2 Last time I brought it up with DETH, he didn't want to move it due to the name being too long anyway. --SnorlaxMonster 13:55, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
Disregard logic, I don't see the point of keeping it that way but whatever... I'll be off in about half an hour so if you could take a look here. Since Ady is busy I don't want to bother him. Untill "Steven Stone" all has been fixed. Thanks SM ! ----DJWolfy 14:04, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
Ady's talk page is on my watchlist anyway, so I saw that and intended to get around to it. --SnorlaxMonster 14:05, 16 May 2012 (UTC)

That's great, we're on the same wave-length I see.----DJWolfy 14:06, 16 May 2012 (UTC) I wonder... if they did so much fuss about the g template because it should only be used in the games, then why no one mentioned that on the link templates page ? I mean, let's be serious, not many people click on the template's talk page.----DJWolfy 16:16, 17 May 2012 (UTC)

Template documentation is supposed to go on the talk page. As for the fuss about the template, IMO, it should either be deleted or allowed universally. --SnorlaxMonster 07:23, 18 May 2012 (UTC)

How about motto? Shouldn't that be added to the link templates page ?*----DJWolfy 20:32, 19 May 2012 (UTC)

I've also noticed an E4 template which is exactly as EF.----DJWolfy 20:35, 19 May 2012 (UTC)
Template:E4 redirects to EF. I've added motto. And yes, minor edits count towards TC and TCM. --SnorlaxMonster 10:34, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
Good, how about the capitalization of Contests, Gym match and Gym referee ? Also, what's with the cross ?----DJWolfy 10:55, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
Contest is already on the page, Gym itself is always capitalized, while I don't believe that battle or referee would be (they're not official terms anyway). --SnorlaxMonster 11:17, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

Dennou said that Gym Battle should be, but I asked you about Gym "match", also what's with the cross near some terms ?----DJWolfy 11:19, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

I have no reason to believe that the battle in "Gym Battle" should be capitalized. I don't think it should be. I'm interested in the source for it. The dagger is explained at the start of the article (and will be removed before it leaves my userspace). --SnorlaxMonster 11:23, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
Ok then, still what should I do if I see a capitalized Gym Battle ? ----DJWolfy 11:30, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
Gym Battle -> Gym battle. --SnorlaxMonster 11:31, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
Sorry for causing confusion, I just erroneously thought that "battle" is always capitalized.--Den Zen 11:34, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
Then you should write it down in the uncapitalized section so everyone will know. Also, have you done something with the Epicode page ? Yeah I know I'm being a bit steadfast but it is important to BP.----DJWolfy 11:39, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
I don't think it is really necessary to put it there. Do you mean did I add Trouble in Big Town? Then yes. --SnorlaxMonster 11:49, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

Yes I see now, how about updating the digits for movies and PK shorts ? Or wait untill they are released ? Also, could you protect the page ?----DJWolfy 11:51, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

Another user already did. You're better off reading the page itself than asking me though. --SnorlaxMonster 11:56, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

I see now, I'm rushing too much, well then... protection ?----DJWolfy 11:57, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

I don't think the page really needs protection; if it gets abused, then I'll consider it. --SnorlaxMonster 11:58, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
Ok.----DJWolfy 12:00, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
Uhm, Dawn's page pretty much lacks capitalization for Ribbons and Contests. I would do them myself but the page is protected.----DJWolfy 17:10, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
Done. --SnorlaxMonster 08:44, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

Also, this section should be changed from On hand to Pokémon. Btw, do you got the receive e-mail feature enabled ?----DJWolfy 16:19, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

Done, and yes I do. If a user has the feature disabled/no registered email address, E-mail this user will not appear in the toolbox in that user's userspace. --SnorlaxMonster 13:18, 23 May 2012 (UTC)
Great! Thanks ! I've sent you an e-mail btw. Please reply when you have the time.----DJWolfy 17:05, 23 May 2012 (UTC)

Cheren's age

http://serebii.net/blackwhite/

If you read this it says: The games also have you playing as protagonists older than the previous playable characters. Serebii is always accurate! It may not imply what exact age they are but they are definitely not 10/12! - unsigned comment from Solarbeam96 (talkcontribs)

There is no proof of them being 15/17 either, that's why it was reverted. We need to be accurate. Sign your comments with ~~~~ next time too. Sneaking from page to page... It's the page-editing purple ghost... Gengarzilla! 16:02, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

There's also no proof of him being 10/12 either. So how is that accurate? --- - unsigned comment from Solarbeam96 (talkcontribs)

We rely on using official sources, rather than other fansites when gathering the information for this wiki. And for the record, as the human he is (and so we are), Serebii isn't always accurate. We know they're at least ten years old because Cheren says he's known Bianca for ten years. Masatoshitalk 16:18, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

capitalized 'contests'

When i was going through some pages,i noticed that some 'contests'(link and normal text) are capitalized, while in some other pages they are not. So should they be capitalized or not? I capitalized one i saw so if it is wrong pls tell and i'll correct it. Thank u! Auraguardian197 18:40, 24 May 2012 (UTC)

It depends, if you refer to Pokémon Contests then yes, but if you refer to another type of contest, ex: "Racing contest", or "Ash had a running contest with Morrison" then no.----DJWolfy 18:45, 24 May 2012 (UTC)

In the Pokemon Contests article many 'contests'(ex:Normal Rank 'contest','contests' are held, etc.) and in the dp062 article ("still upset about losing her(Dawn's) last 'contest') the 'contests' are not capatilized. Is it ok if i capitalize it?Auraguardian197 18:56, 24 May 2012 (UTC)

Yes, everything that refers to Contests as Pokémon Contests, Normal Rank or any Rank Contest is a Pokémon Contest, Dawn being upset about losing a Contest refers to a Pokémon Contest.----DJWolfy 19:03, 24 May 2012 (UTC)

Thank u. I changed most of them. Btw i'd like know more abt subst:welcome, like who puts it etc. Can somebody help? Auraguardian197 20:06, 24 May 2012 (UTC)

Oh that's for welcoming new users. When you see a new user's talk page without it just add that to his/her page and he/she'll have it too. - unsigned comment from DJWolfy (talkcontribs)
If you are ever unsure about capitalizations, please check User:SnorlaxMonster/Pokémon Syntax. --SnorlaxMonster 06:02, 26 May 2012 (UTC)

thx for the heads up

thx for the heads up on the template thing. I didn't read their warning and i didn't know about the violation thing. I just went ahead and removed the whole thing, the code stuff is to hard and I'm to old to learn it. I have a hard enough time learning about the new Pokémon. The first 151 cake, the next 100 additional ones *insert fonzy* the Gen III challenging...everything else....ugh.. @_@

As for me asking kenji-girl to have a word with Jo the Marten, I wasn't over reacting. Jo the Marten was being very pessimistic (that the right word?) and unpleasant. I asked Kenji-girl to take a look so I wasn't tempted to say something and start more trouble then the internet is worth. I'm too old to get roped into the things I always hear kids complain about, like flame wars and trolls. I don't want my every interaction with Jo the Marten to be an unpleasant one, but they seem to be putting off some bad mojo in the last couple of days. From getting on me about a innocent typo of their name, to undoing the * thingy and saying (I don't like this. I don't like this at all.) in the summary. I'm trying to not take things personal, but those little petty things are starting to add up.

As for the Masatoshi my wording might have been less then delicate, I'm not always able to express myself the way I'd like.

Plus I think when my eyes played their tricked where I saw her/his name instead of DJ...whatever I might have came off like I was blaming them for the end of the world.

I did over react on Masatoshi and I'll say sorry to them before I have another unneeded tension.

On another note, while I have slept since that day i was up 27 hours, I've not had the most restful sleeps. So I might be a little extra sensitive, but Jo's comment on that talk page was pretty Simon Cowell like. Yamitora1 10:31, 26 May 2012 (UTC)

While it is good that you decided to go to an admin rather than potentially get into a fight, it doesn't look very nice telling another admin to talk to someone, and it would have been better phrased if you had simply asked Kenji-girl to take a look at the situation, not told her what to do. Jo probably could have been a bit less blunt, but she didn't mean to be rude. Also, I really do appreciate that you went and apologized to Masatoshi; that really showed me that you can improve on your mistakes, which is a trait that not enough people have. --SnorlaxMonster 13:47, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
I wasn't telling Kenji girl to do anything, I asked her. I forgot to say please but I did ask with niceness intended. Aw man, this situation is getting a little out of hand, and I want to clear the board and set everyone straight on the issue; but the aggression is arising and I doubt this can get any better with everyone like this.Yamitora1 17:52, 26 May 2012 (UTC)

Sigantur Image

Is dat ok? --Altruis ノーマル 15:33, 26 May 2012 (UTC) <---?

There's no image in it, so yes, that's fine. --SnorlaxMonster 15:34, 26 May 2012 (UTC)

Idea

I've got a huge idea. Since there are problems with the types I suggest to be made a separate template for types without the dash. And I think we should make use of the type, therefore a Fire would be Fire type and Fire would be Fire-type ? Plus, regardless of what you do if you write Fire it still adds the dash. How about it ? ----DJWolfy 19:52, 27 May 2012 (UTC)

I'm not sure if i understand u correctly,but why do we need a new template? Can't we use the t template? Auraguardian197 17:43, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
Yeah but using "Fire type" just doesn't look good. Plus, it would be better if we find a use for that useless <type> template since that and <type2> both do the same thing. I don't mind correcting them. Also, please remember to use the indentation column ":" at the beginning of the sentence so your comment doesn't interfere with mine or anyone else's. ----DJWolfy 17:54, 28 May 2012 (UTC)

Yeah. But we only need to use the t template in places like, for ex-"the Fire pokemon, etc. So i guess there's no need for 'type'. Ur thoughts? And sorry abt the indent thing.Auraguardian197 18:19, 28 May 2012 (UTC)

Not really, Charizard is a Fire type, Brock is an expert in Rock types, etc.----DJWolfy 18:20, 28 May 2012 (UTC)

Oh,now i get it. But there's still one thing i don't understand. Can't we just use type2 for that? I'm just asking, that's all. I'm still new here so just don't take me too seriously ;-) Auraguardian197 18:37, 28 May 2012 (UTC)

Because "Charizard is a Fire type" refers to a complement". Therefore, Charizard is a what ? (a Fire type). The dash applies to adjectives. Therefore, Charizard is a Fire-type Pokémon. This refers to an adjective. It answers to the question: What kind of Pokémon is Charizard ? Take a look here, it's almost an official policy.----DJWolfy 18:50, 28 May 2012 (UTC)

ok,i got it.Auraguardian197 18:58, 28 May 2012 (UTC)

Well ok, just remember to read this when you get back.----DJWolfy 12:30, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
I don't like it and I don't think it should link as Fire type anyway (I prefer Fire type). I would like to see type2 eventually become type, so that will be its use. I think Fire type should continue to be used. Also, in regards to my absence, I should still be able to make time on the weekends, just not weekdays; the reason I posted it then was that I realized that I had been gone for a large number of days without saying anything in public (I had mentioned it to the staff). --SnorlaxMonster 10:44, 1 June 2012 (UTC)--SnorlaxMonster 10:44, 1 June 2012 (UTC)
Okay then.----DJWolfy 13:06, 1 June 2012 (UTC)

Some questions

Hi, I have 2 questions for you:

- This one may help me to discover glitches other than the GB Sounds glitch (remember?), or not, because I don't really know the subject: what are hexadecimals???

- Can you please tell me the code necessary to make that huge user bar that you have on your page (that on that says "Welcome to SnorlaxMonster" at the beggining), along with the code for that HP bar? I will make the necessary changes. It's because I want to have more information on my user page. TheOriginalOne 13:28, 3 June 2012 (UTC)

Everything in a video game has an index number. Due to computers storing data in binary, which is grouped into bytes, a byte can store one of 256 different combinations of bits. One byte is most easily expressed as 2 hexidecimal digits—with hexadecimal being base 16 and A=10, B=11, C=12, D=13, E=14, and F=15. So each glitch Pokémon has its index number expressed as two hexdecimal digits (four in Gen III+). This also means that there are 256 slots for Pokémon in the Generation I and II games, and thus 105 (256-151) glitch Pokémon in each Generation I game (counting Missingno.'s multiple index numbers as individual Pokémon) and 5 (256-251) glitch Pokémon in each Generation II game.
The code for my header can be easily viewed here (just edit it without saving). The HP bar template is here, but I'd rather you didn't straight out copy/paste that as it took a fair amount of work to make (the navigation header is simply a modification of the old main page header). --SnorlaxMonster 11:49, 8 June 2012 (UTC)

Today I was going to do some final edits to my userspace elements based on those from you that we have talked about some time ago, so that there would be no copyright discussions. And guess what? Your friend that's also an admin, Jo_The_marten, deletes all I've done saying that I violated copyright! Then I told him that you have authorized me to do so with the necessary edits (remember)...and then he says that he PERSONALY heard from you the complaint that I was making it too much similar (not only it was starting to get much different, as now, as I've just said 3 lines ago, I was going to make major edits. I've suggested him that you took a look at the new code that I was going to write (and it's still not written). So, what do you say about all this stuff? TheOriginalOne (talk) 20:05, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

Protection

Could you protect these please ? Safari, Coin, Chap2 ----DJWolfy 11:43, 4 June 2012 (UTC)

Done, but not chap2 because its usage is way too low to justify it. --SnorlaxMonster 11:49, 8 June 2012 (UTC)

Keldeo's formes

Should I hold off on adding any information on Keldeo's two formes? G50 07:53, 10 June 2012 (UTC)

Probably best to wait until we have more than just a name and we actually get confirmation that the CoroCoro cover Keldeo is the new forme. - unsigned comment from SnorlaxMonster (talkcontribs)
Okay. G50 07:59, 10 June 2012 (UTC)
Well, if it helps, the yellow text on its mane on the CoroCoro pic says 'Kakugo-no-Sugata Keldeo appears!' Bluesun (talk) 01:39, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
Bulbanews has been referring to it as "Resolution Forme", so that's what we would use. As for the kami trio... I know we strangely haven't been translating the names, and I really think it would be best if we did. --SnorlaxMonster 05:50, 11 June 2012 (UTC)

Mystery Dungeon 1 characters

Hi, I saw your edit summary on Whiscash's page and decided to write this as I've been playing through Blue version again recently. Would you mind giving it a quick look over to see if it's mainspaceable please? Thanks, ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 06:24, 11 June 2012 (UTC)

It is certainly mainspaceable, but I would suggest putting in an infobox, like every PMD2 character has. --SnorlaxMonster 06:37, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
I have added an infobox and even found a picture for it. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 14:29, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
Hi, sorry to bother you again but do you think it's ready for mainspace now? Thanks, ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 14:00, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
Made a page for Xatu as well. Will start one on Gardevoir in a minute too. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 14:32, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
Just put them straight in the mainspace now. It makes it easier. --SnorlaxMonster 14:33, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
Okay then. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 14:33, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
There are a few others I thought about, like Ninetales, Magnemite, and Diglett; however, I left them because I was unsure. If you think they're notable, go ahead and make them. --SnorlaxMonster 13:24, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for wrapping up the details on my editorial piece. --Evil Figment (talk) 07:28, 11 June 2012 (UTC)

Something that I noticed was that nowhere in your article did you link to the forums announcement. Since the article gets a little confusing without it I would suggest it, but I didn't want to mess around with it too much because it is your editorial. --SnorlaxMonster 07:32, 11 June 2012 (UTC)

EvoTemplate

Isn't the evostone template kind of useless since you have to write the word "stone" when linking instead of the template inputing it automatically ? For example, as you know you have to write Fire Stone instead of Fire. The latter would be more convenient if it would automatically write the word "Stone" as with the Badge template.----DJWolfy 12:57, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

Uhm also, why everytime I want to link to a movie Pokémon I have to enter his name twice. ex: Mew instead of what would be more easier Mew?
Also, please add the TR template on the page.----DJWolfy 16:11, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
Evostone is already used so much that changing it would break a tonne of pages (and I personally think the name is too long and "stone" would be a better name anyway). I hate the movie template anyway and always use OBP instead. TR added (make sure you use MTR instead of it for Meowth). --SnorlaxMonster 11:04, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
No worries SM, I know that. But thanks. Btw, do we really need the E4 template. It's only a useless redirect. Plus I've changed it to the real template (EF) on all the pages it appeared. It still links to 4 talk pages (including yours) which I cannot modify them (because they're protected archives). Shouldn't it be deleted ? Also you could change the evostone to stone as you said and let BulbaBot modify them all as it did with type. Therefore Fire would link to Fire Stone. Simple as that.----DJWolfy 11:30, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, that was why I brought up that I thought the name was too long; I was indirectly suggesting that. I have delinked every other usage of E4, so I'll delete it. --SnorlaxMonster 11:47, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

No wonder you've been promoted. You're really helpful. Thanks SM ! Btw, can visitor messages on the forums be deleted ?----DJWolfy 11:50, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

Also, wasn't Kuki banned ? Because he still has his account on the forums.----DJWolfy 13:55, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
Forums and wiki bans do not apply on the other (except in special cases). --SnorlaxMonster 13:58, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
I don't know. Wasn't he a big issue and banned like a lot of times (on the other wikis too) ? Also his recently made account was banned too. Can visitor messages on the forums be deleted ?----DJWolfy 14:15, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
I deleted one back when I wasn't staff, but I don't know if non-staff can anymore. I can delete messages as a staff member though. Also, fun fact: SandmanDP was made back in 2007, while Kuki was made in 2008, so SandmanDP is older, but he didn't use it until long after Kuki was banned. I believe he's been told to not use the forum for wiki matters as he's been banned from it though. If he's making you feel uncomfortable, you can always report the VM. --SnorlaxMonster 14:25, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

Na.. let him have it. But could you delete his visitor message from my page on the forums ? I have the same name as here. What's the VM ?----DJWolfy 14:29, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

Not sure what you meant by "let him have it". The comment that I deleted? I deleted them because "No longer needed. Just about whether or not I was logged on at the time. Should have been a PM.". The content was merely the other user saying "snorlax you there?" and me replying "I am now, now that the server is back up." If the VM is worthy of being deleted, it should be reported first; I don't like doing forum mod stuff despite having powers there because I really don't know their policies and I'm not that active there. --SnorlaxMonster 14:39, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
By let him have it I meant that I won't report him for the moment. But who are the people in charge of the forums ?----DJWolfy 14:44, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
See here for an organised list. There's also this list of everyone with powers (including simply being able to see the staff forum). --SnorlaxMonster 14:52, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
I have one curiosity. How did the staff find out that Sandman and Kuki are the same ?----DJWolfy 18:16, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
We have our ways. IPs and similarity in behavior mainly. --SnorlaxMonster 00:47, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

Great. Could you add the ra template ? Also, since I've started this discussion with the stones.. what will happen to that template afterall ?----DJWolfy 07:41, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

ra added. Also, I realized why you need to type "stone" at the end when using that template; most stones are two words like "Fire Stone", but "Thunderstone" is one. --SnorlaxMonster 08:26, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
That's a shame.. Oh well. Do we really need the en template ? It's just a redirect to the real deal Eng. Plus I've modified it everywhere except for a talk page (because I'm not sure if I'm allowed to change talk pages only for a redirect).----DJWolfy 09:32, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, don't edit talk pages for relinking unless the redirect/template is going to be deleted. Anyway, done. --SnorlaxMonster 09:36, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
Great! One last thing before I leave. I've proposed recently to Adyniz that we should have a Todd template for Todd Snap in order not to link as Todd. Would be much easier. What do you say ?----DJWolfy 09:45, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
Well, I believe he has been called both "Todd" and "Snap" so I think it would be better to use his full name when linking to him. --SnorlaxMonster 09:47, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

Not really... The majority of it appears as Todd. (mostly anime). And everywhere it appears, it appears as Todd, pretty redundant.----DJWolfy 09:50, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

If it's being used in articles as Todd, then I would say a template is worthwhile. --SnorlaxMonster 09:51, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
Yep, that's exactly what I said. That means there are possibilites that a template will be made ?----DJWolfy 09:52, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

Two questions

Hello, SnorlaxMonster! I was wondering:

 1. In the games, when someone refers to a type, it's usually written as "<type's name>-type", like Poison-type, with an hyphen. With the Template:Type this works well, like in Poison-type. This way, the Template:T can be used in cases like "Bug, Fighting and Dragon-type". However, you undid one of my edits to the use of "Fire type", with no hyphen, and Wolfy is following this. What is the correct?
 2. Since you're a senior admin, can't you just split Form differences or do you need approval from other admins, because none of them has stated their views so far.

That's it. =) |) u |( e ® 21:16, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

For the first one, they should only be hyphenated when used as an adjective (e.g. Fire-type Pokémon...). When used as a noun they should not be hyphenated (e.g. Snorlax is Normal type.) This reflects both proper grammar and in-game usage. Werdnae (talk) 21:25, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
Got it! ;) |) u |( e ® 21:31, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
Sorry for barging in but this explains it better. Also it provides answers for other unclarities.----DJWolfy 11:13, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
 1. I think this was just a typo, but one example Werdnae gave was not entirely correct. Correct usage would be "Snorlax is a Normal type" (used as a noun) or "Snorlax is Normal-type" (used as an adjective).
 2. To a degree, I probably could. However, I generally prefer to run it past other admins first (which I did when I saw this and they were fine with it). Also, I tend to have 10 things I want to do at once, so a lot of things have to get put off. --SnorlaxMonster 02:09, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
Ah, now it makes sense. Helpful page, Wolfy, thank you! Thanks, people! |) u |( e ® 20:53, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

Does my userspace violate your copyright?

Hi! You may have noticed the message that I have left in the "some questions" section. I've already received the codes from Jo_The_Marten and made many, many changes. I'm going to post the link to that here (please pay attention to the difference in the links, specially in the archive section, where they are completely different; also ignore the hex section, which I think I won't write again; I'll also not post the "random pokemon" part again). Anyways, please pay attention to the differences for you to tell me if all these changes were enough. Well, here is the link: http://www.mediafire.com/?jt2cnq7t1stvbfs TheOriginalOne (talk) 23:22, 15 June 2012 (UTC)

Nav looks fine; that is the one I said I didn't mind at all if you copied. Just letting you know that there is no |} at the bottom of it, so if you try and put it on a page it will eat up everything. Your "today" template is an exact copy and completely unnecessary; just transclude mine. And I think you misunderstood what I said about my talk page HP bar; I don't want you copying the code, but I don't mind if you look at the code to see how I did certain aspects of it (hoverexpand, the HP bar itself, etc.) and making your own. There are other users who make talk page HP bars who don't mind you using theirs though (make sure you ask first though). And again, your decimal to hexadecimal converter is exactly the same as mine, so if you want to use one just use mine. Anyway, the reason I complained to Jo was because by taking so much of my stuff you made your userpage look almost exactly the same as mine. --SnorlaxMonster 02:09, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

Well, about the "eat-up" part, I'm going to leave it as it is, because it sounds funny to me to have it as a background (besides, it will look even more different from your page). Also, I was still thinking about having "today" copied because I will then try to ask for more info from "today in history" to The dark lord trombonator, for it to be more complete and for your page not to be affected... or will you do the same thing, so that this part will become really unnecessary? And will adding a picture of a battle with missingno. fighting in the upper part be enought for my HP bar to be original? Also, I've already told you that I won't use the "/hex", tought it is mentioned in the file. Well, I'm looking forward to your answer for me to know what I can do. TheOriginalOne (talk) 13:18, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

You including /hex in the file made me think you were going to use it. If you want to copy what trom has into a template and use that, go ahead; trom's page is virtually a Bulbapediaspace/templatespace page anyway, so you can copy the code from it if you want (just don't copy the entire page with all of his notes and everything because that's pointless). I think it will just look ugly if it eats the page, but whatever you prefer. --SnorlaxMonster 13:35, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

OK, and what about the HP bar? Did you read that part? TheOriginalOne (talk) 13:46, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

Oh, I knew I missed a bit. No, that is not what I meant at all. I don't mean copy then change mine, I mean make your own possibly looking at mine to see how I did it. --SnorlaxMonster 13:47, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

I was asking if you had read my suggestion in this section about a picture of a battle with missingno. Are you talking about that? Oh, and I've already noticed what you meant with "ugly". I've already reached the limit of 3 edits per day, so tomorrow I'll do things like changing the color of the bottom of the nav. TheOriginalOne (talk) 14:04, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

I meant that simply adding a picture of battling Missingno. to mine is not enough to qualify as original. And that is why you should use the preview button before saving. --SnorlaxMonster 14:07, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

"that is why you should use the preview button before saving."... That's a little ambiguous:

 • If you're talking about the "ugly" part: Remember that I have to work with 2 pages: the nav and the normal one. So, the code necessary for the nav to eat up or not is in the nav section, a page where I cannot preview how it's going to look like in the normal page. Then, I used the preview button when I was editing the normal page, and that was when I noticed that it was ugly. Then I tought "Oh no! But... I can click the edit button (that was the third edit) and then, tomorrow, modify the nav section. I just need some patience."
 • If you're talking about the HP bar... I didn't save it :)

Oh yeah, now I'll try to make major edits to the HP bar. TheOriginalOne (talk) 14:20, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, I meant the nav template. And I warned you it would do that anyway. Regardless... if you previewed and saw it looked ugly, you could still have manually put a |} outside of the template. --SnorlaxMonster 14:30, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

No, because as I said, at that time I had already edited the nav, and in the nav page I couldn't preview what was going to happen in the main page... so there's also something I forgot to mention: I deleted a part of the code that I've discovered that in fact it wasn't what you were talking about... but, anyway, I won't search for it again: as I said some time ago, I'll just change it to a lighter color. TheOriginalOne (talk) 14:53, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

Celebi

I added the delete tag on this page since we already had a page on Celebi. Your revision on the former tells me it is a sample page. Is there a template to place on the sample page? PattyMan 13:23, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

This section is not on the current article in that manner. --SnorlaxMonster 13:25, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
That should be agreeable. By the way, congratulation on your promotion to the Advisory Council on the archives. PattyMan 13:31, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

The two templates

I noticed that the Questionable notability has been changed to DiscussDelete with the notability reason on the other pages. Was there anything wrong? PattyMan 13:42, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
Questionable notability states in its description that "This article has been protected due to the subject of this article being of questionable notability." and also places it in the protected pages category. I'm not even sure why we still have it, because we don't protect pages if they have questionable notability anymore. --SnorlaxMonster 13:44, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
I think the template distinguishes the fact that users can choose whether or not if a page is worthy enough to be kept instead of it getting deleted automatically. Placing the DiscussDelete tag would be a reminder to have it deleted immediately, but you do have a good point about the Questionable Notability template being redundant to the DiscussDelete one. I would find it ironic that the latter would be placed on the former (if it did happen). PattyMan 13:52, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
The delete tag is for immediate deletion; DiscussDelete requires discussion first. --SnorlaxMonster 13:54, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
I think the DiscussDelete template should be placed on the Questionable notability one for that matter. PattyMan 14:00, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

HP bar

Is my HP bar OK like this:

Missingno RB.png 49/∞ HP

What will Missingno. do?
Fight

389MS.png 398MS.png 405MS.png 078MS.png
Items Run

I didn't have patience to upload it to another website, so I've posted it here. What about it? For me it seems very different from yours. TheOriginalOne (talk) 14:57, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

No, posting it here rather than uploading it elsewhere is probably easier. Anyway, you still don't seem to understand what I'm saying. Do not use my template as a base and modify it; you can create your own or modify someone else's (that allows you to) and use mine as a reference only. So while it is different from mine, you have still clearly used my template as a base. --SnorlaxMonster 14:48, 18 June 2012 (UTC)

Type - Leaders

So.. I've noticed that if you look on a Gym Leader's page at the charinfobox where it is writen his/her specialization, the type is hypenated. Should it be that way ?----DJWolfy 20:47, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, that's bothered me for a while. They should be "Electric types" etc. --SnorlaxMonster 14:48, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
Great, that means I can go right ahead and modify them right ?----DJWolfy 17:13, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
Done. Btw, please add the GnB template.----DJWolfy 21:14, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
Also, should the spoilers template be added ?----DJWolfy 15:58, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
Aaaand the <name> template. Sorry, I keep forgetting them.----DJWolfy 16:17, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
Added the GnB and mdc, but spoilers isn't a link template. --SnorlaxMonster 11:32, 20 June 2012 (UTC)

Excellent ! Do we really need the spoiler (without the s) template ? It's just a redirect. Plus I've relinked the other articles with the exception of Paul's page because it's protected and talk pages.----DJWolfy 11:40, 20 June 2012 (UTC)

Honestly, there is no problem with template redirects. --SnorlaxMonster 15:28, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
Yeah but I see no point in keeping them since I've modified'em all. We've done the same with "E4" and "En". Plus, redirects take longer to load the page. And I get the 503 error more often when using redirects.----DJWolfy 15:33, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
I do not believe there is any relationship between redirects and 503s. I get them everywhere, from previewing to the main page. --SnorlaxMonster 12:10, 21 June 2012 (UTC)

Movedesc template

Looking through the list of moves and notice that some of the descriptions are the same for RSE and ColoXD, however combining them just gives a blank white space on the template itself. Is there any way to fix this problem or is it intentional? Frozen Fennec 17:14, 20 June 2012 (UTC)

Added that combination. If there's any more combinations you need added, just let me know. --SnorlaxMonster 12:10, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
Going to work on these more later today after I get done creating user talk pages for everyone who made an account during the site lockdown. Care to add the combination of RSEColoXDFRLG (I imagine the gen IV and V games will look fine after that) just in case I run into something like that? Thank you. :) Frozen Fennec 13:58, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

Hijacking for a moment. Does that table have to be limited to "main games" only? I don't know about any other side games, but Conquest has move descriptions for the one move each pokémon has. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 14:04, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

I would rather restrict it to main and side series game at the moment. Conquest, PMD, and Rumble move descriptions would hopefully go in a separate table (pretty sure those are the only spin-offs with move descriptions). --SnorlaxMonster 14:06, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

Oshawott.

I've checked entry in White 2, and it seems to identical to what someone put in Black 2. However, I can't find any field for that. And yes, I managed to get White 2. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 09:55, 24 June 2012 (UTC)

Just use "b2w2dex=" --SnorlaxMonster 10:07, 24 June 2012 (UTC)
Oh, and it seems that exp yield, or formula, has been changed once again, as I got 94 EXP from rival battle (Lv. 5 Snivy vs Lv. 5 Oshawott), and that should be - {[(1.5*28*5)/(5*1)] * [(2*5+10)^2.5/(5+5+10)^2.5]} * 1 * 1 * 1 = (1.5*28) * 1 = 42; I got about 2 and 1/3 as much as that. Also, in BW it took me two fights to get Lv. 6, against both Cheren and Bianca, but here only one. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 10:39, 24 June 2012 (UTC)

templates

Yeah, hello, long time no see. Now let's get down to business. Since no page leads to the mo template which is only a redirect for the mov, and the same with the spoiler which is a redirect of spoilers, could you delete them as you did with the previous unused templates ? ----DJWolfy 15:45, 12 July 2012 (UTC)

Okay, I'll delete them, but please don't worry with template redirects right now. They aren't doing any harm. --SnorlaxMonster 13:49, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
Well, I could swear I get most 503's from redirects. At least me...----DJWolfy 17:49, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

Seems to be priority +8 or something, it outspeeded Pursuit's user, despite being slower than it. Now we need to check Generation IV and V.Marked +-+-+ (talk) 19:37, 12 July 2012 (UTC)

Since it even outspeeds switching of the Pokémon using it, that was expected. Now we just need to test other gens (I guess BW wouldn't be too hard for me to do). --SnorlaxMonster 11:21, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

GB Sounds glitch... AGAIN!

Hey, remember that long conversation we had about the GB Sounds glitch after I discovered it? Remember when at the end we said "case closed"? Well... it's not case closed; the saga goes on! I've made a new discovery, but it is a little confuse, so I guess we should talk about that. Well, here is it:

Some time ago I've published a video with a tutorial about how to perform the glitch, and then I've noticed a weird video about what could possibly be another version of the glitch. Here's the description:

So... I was online with my friend doing the Battle Frontier. We finished, we go offline. The moment I go offline, I press Y to turn off the GBA Player (an object used to change the BGM to play the 8-bit versions of the songs, for those who don't know) at the same time that Cooltrainer Reena calls me. The message "Turned off the power for GB Sounds" shows up, but instead of the usual pokemon center music returning to play...

(she says "Battle Frontier", but in fact the video shows the Pokémon Center in B1F; also, she said GBA instead of GB; "BGM" means "Background Music".)

Analysing what she said, and what happened in the video, I came up with the idea that I was looking at a new type of the glitch, because in fact I did not discover the GB Sounds glitch, instead I've just discovered what I call the "Cinnabar type". Well, I was facing a second type, which I call... this is where our problems begin: I don't know if the cause of the glitch was really what she said, I mean, if it was because the GB Sounds was turned off at the exact moment someone was calling her (the "Pokégear type"), because she turned it on before she was connected and off after that (the "Wi-fi type"), or because of any other unknown reason.

There is another non-investigated (it requires the answer to the first problem) mystery about this: she mentions an interessing thing about the glitch, which is the fact that, contrary to what happens in the Cinnabar type, this time you can use the Y feature. What if we use it from the bag?

Or maybe she fooled us and this new type doesn't even exist... I think we should both fully investigate this, don't you agree? TheOriginalOne 14:43, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

Ah yeah, another discovery: I found out that the so-called Cinnabar type, the one that I discovered, can be exploited in another way. I was investigating and I found out that in fact you don't need to return to Cinnabar Island after turning on the GB Sounds, I mean, you can remain in Route 20 and then return to the bag and turn it off again, because the glitch will still happen (I've already made that edit in the mainspace). TheOriginalOne 22:35, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

I figured I should probably reply to this rather than just leaving you with no answer at all, but I am really busy at the moment and really don't have time to look into this right now. I'll get back to you eventually (remind me though or I'll forget). --SnorlaxMonster 14:10, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

Q◣

Hey, I've just noticed that you deleted the article referred in the above title, because it was the same thing as the one named "Q". Let me just tell you what I was doing, because I don't really know if you understood it all: the original article doesn't mention all the name, and it has got the incorrect template. My plan was to copy everything to the new article, and then to turn the first one into a redirect, so that no one could get lost and the article could have the right title. I guess you didn't know this last part, about the redirect to the new article. So, what's the problem now? TheOriginalOne 13:10, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

To change an article title, you move it, not create a new page and copy all the information over. Even if you were to do it the latter way, it should all be done in one edit, not multiple. --SnorlaxMonster 13:11, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

What do you mean with "move it"??? Also, I found no way of making it with just one edit, because when I clicked on "edit", I was just allowed to read the code for that specific section. TheOriginalOne 13:26, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

Please read a guide to Bulbapedia. To edit the whole page, use the edit tab at the top of the page. To move a page, use the move tab. --SnorlaxMonster 14:38, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for teaching me that, I've already moved the page. I'll use it as a future reference. Also, I've changed the GlitchPkmn template, so that now it shows the correct name (I know that the old article was turned into a redirect, but I did this just for the template to be correct). Another glitch...

Hey...3 conversations with you at the same time, this is a little confuse! Well, but the point is: while I was searching for youtube videos about B2W2 glitches that could replace the dailymotion ones (yes, I've read the warning) that were posted in the gen V glitches page, I suddenly noticed one about a glitch that... isn't posted here! I still need to know some more things about it, so I asked many questions to the publisher, including if the glitch was emulator-only (if it is, then it doesn't count, right?). You can read such comments |here (the 2 comments by the one named MasterX26681). I'm still waiting for a reply. Anyways, do you have the game in order that you can test the glitch? What do you think of this? TheOriginalOne 13:46, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

Various Female Breeders appear to rebattle you without any reason given in game. It occurs with all Female Breeders I've seen, as soon as you leave the area; they rebattle, same levels. That person didn't discover it, various people in different places have noted it, playing on real DSes, emulators, whatever, and it seems too big an oversight to have been a glitch in my opinion -- though it seems odd that it isn't spoken about in-game if it's intentional. It gets annoying on Route 11 as when I do my Hollow checks around the area I always forget about the breeder there. xD Bluesun (talk) 14:39, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, I had heard about the female Breeders rebattling you, and like bluesun, I believe it doesn't appear to be a glitch (like all those B-button response Trainers). And no, I don't own Black 2 or White 2. --SnorlaxMonster 15:51, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

Welcome line

Hey, just wanted to know if you could help me remove that annoying black line from above "Welcome" on my Userpage. Also I wanted to extend my apologies for being inactive for quite a while, school has burdened me. I will aim to make pages for every glitch Pokémon this year. Thanks --×Rsrdaman× 05:03, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

I don't see the black line. --SnorlaxMonster 08:04, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
Well it seems it only shows in IE for me but even in other browsers there is a space there.
This is the picture. --×Rsrdaman× 04:25, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

I'm using Chrome and I can also see that line. Hey, RsrDaman, I was scrolling SnorlaxMonster's talk page when I noticed this conversation. Today template

Hey, remember when you allowed me to copy your today template, and when I said that I wanted it copied in order to update it when I wanted? Well, now I was updating it, and when I clicked the preview button, I found out that there was something wrong whithin the code. I checked all the code, and it seemed that there wasn't anything wrong. You created this code, so I'm asking if you have enought patience to tell me where's the failure, please. Thank you very much, and... sorry for having bored you, specially because the error was minor and it was at the end of the year (I mean, code). But well, ty again, you can copy the update if you want. TheOriginalOne 12:18, 20 July 2012 (UTC)

I just deleted each month and previewed until it worked (which didn't actually happen because it was December), although I ended up doing multiple months at once. Then I just found the half of the month the issue was in, then spotted it. It only took about 10 minutes. --SnorlaxMonster 12:24, 20 July 2012 (UTC)

New Gen I glitch pages

I've been thinking about writing two pages about glitches in Gen I:

1) Glitch Pokédex wrap-around. Such as when a species or name of a glitch Pokémon is too long and wraps-around the screen and even overwirtes the code for the brown borders.

2) Glitch sprite inconsistency. I've noticed that glitch sprites always suprise you. They turn backwards, completely change their appearence, change color, etc. and even just one glitch Pokémon can exhibit all of these traits.

So could I write them? Or are they not notable enough?--×Rsrdaman× 04:51, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

No exactly sure what you're asking here. What do you mean "write them"? Yeah, I know the glitch dex entires wrap around and I really think we may be better off removing the species section from the infobox and just including an image of the dex entry. If the sprite is changing, I suppose you could write a "glitches caused" section. --SnorlaxMonster 14:10, 1 August 2012 (UTC)
The problem with just putting an image for the species is the Pokémons sprite covers any overlapping text behind it. So that would cause some to be lost. Also about the sprites, every single glitch pokemon is shown in different colors when viewed in the party listing, and random sprite flips happen to all of them. Just was thinking about a Glitch Sprite Abnormalities page or something.--×Rsrdaman× 02:40, 6 August 2012 (UTC)
How are we getting the text if the text if it is covered by the sprite anyway? We can always make the Pokedex images animated. If you do make that page, ensure you use the correct capitalization (so "Glitch sprite abnormalities"). --SnorlaxMonster 15:23, 6 August 2012 (UTC)
Ok, I will soon. But, you know when you first catch a new species, and then the Pokédex pops up all blank with question marks, which then fills in a second later, well in that second the Pokémon's sprite isn't there so I can see the species text momentarily behind it.--×Rsrdaman× 07:44, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
Oh, that's how then. Really, most glitch species are just garbage anyway; unless they are actual words, I wouldn't worry about trying to show the species anyway. --SnorlaxMonster 07:52, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

Images?

Question for you. I went to upload an image of what the northern exit to Opelucid City looks like now that Route 10 is...well, destroyed by that landslide. Unfortunately, it seems that the common user is not allowed to upload images. I know this is separate from Wikipedia itself (in fact, this is my screenname there as well, and I've made some Pokémon edits recently there too), so I want to ask how we are to get our images on Wikipedia? I did notice in the past while articles were created there were some blank spots for future images, but it seems restrictive to say that anyone with such an image cannot upload it. How can I get that permission?

I myself am a periodic editor who might edit once or twice at a time if I see something while researching that I can improve upon, and am not someone who would monitor an entire area typically, but I want to know I can make improvements as I feel necessary. Obviously they can be reverted (and images even removed) if people disagree. CycloneGU (talk) 17:21, 18 July 2012 (UTC)

Images are uploaded on the Bulbagarden Archives, which are located here. They were locked at the same time as Bulbapedia was, but were not unlocked with it. At present, they are remaining locked to ease server stress. For now, you can upload images externally and link them to an admin to upload. --SnorlaxMonster 23:05, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
I am rather surprised by this; in my time at Wikipedia, I've seen that images are often uploaded on the same Wiki (though there is, like Archives, a "commons" Wiki with separate login also available for images that can be used on other language Wikis, like French or Japanese). My experience has been in uploading images to the same Wiki, so this will be a first for me, uploading to a different locale to link on this Wiki. New question: is there a unified login available that can go for both Wikis?
I did just look over at the main page, and it says e-mail confirmed are among the groups permitted to upload. This leads me to believe they have opened up again, and I see no notice on the mainpage that it's locked at present. I will attempt to add an image momentarily and, if it appears in Route 10, you'll know it's up again as well. =) CycloneGU (talk) 03:20, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, the Archives work very similarly to the Commons. It exists so that the same images can be used on both Bulbapedia and Bulbanews (it also prevents image and article categories from mixing on Bulbapedia). It is the same login there as on Bulbapedia and Bulbanews. I'm fairly sure it is still locked (although me not being blocked by it makes it hard to tell); if it is unlocked, then you can upload straight there, but I'm pretty sure it's not. --SnorlaxMonster 03:28, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
It is not, though it is not very clear when you visit the page; you only find out after you attempt to upload an image. I've contacted Kogoro, who signed that message, inquiring both as to how to upload a single image (keeping it as my contribution, not an admin's, which is part of why I'm against a site lockdown of any form personally...I want my contributions to be mine historically, not put in by an admin. to inflate their own edit history) and as to whether there is any form of update on when it will be unlocked. I actually now have two options for images for the area I want to actually add, and I'm leaning towards the second found this morning when someone turned on walking through walls. =)
As an aside, I won't be joining the forum to keep updated; I'm a very sporadic editor, and other than discussions on a talk page if something needs discussing, I would not be doing much member interaction and would merely have an open and inactive account there. If people need me for anything, my talk page is open and I will be happy to discuss anything there. The reopening of Archives is a Bulbapedia issue, and I think it would be more appropriate to have a discussion page on the Wiki itself that can be Wikilinked to without having to log into another service...but that's just me and my past participation in an entire Pending Changes saga (don't ask, it was a nightmare for some) at Wikipedia that went on forever. Forum posts can be deleted from public sight; Wiki history is forever and transparent. =) CycloneGU (talk) 15:01, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, Kogoro is the best person to ask since she is in charge of the Archives. However, she has already stated publicly several times that there is no opening date at present (although looking at your message on her talk page, you have seen this). There is no need to have a forums account if you don't want one; however, it often helps to discuss changes on the wiki. And while wiki history is forever, it is possible to hide edits from public view (not that it is used for anything other than vandalism). And forum posts are always there as well, but just hidden from public view. --SnorlaxMonster 15:20, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
Yes, I know what you speak of; it's referred to as "oversight" on Wikipedia. Its main use is if something private is revealed. Let's say you went and found my physical address and posted it on my profile. That could be reverted, then the edit placing it on the page gets treated with oversight so it appears crossed out in the history. The record shows an edit that should not have been made in it being crossed out. It's still shown as an edit being made (which goes with the "Wiki is forever" statement), you just can't view it. =)
I hope she can help me get an image up there. I have two possible options: a screen of the girl standing at the barriers staring north, and another with walk-through walls on with the boy running into the gatehouse area and north into the forest beyond, following the Route 10 path (which no longer has the incline of course). Yes, there is a forest beyond that, and I am sure the original Opelucid map did as well, but I may be wrong. (That kid then ran off to the west without using the gatehouse and walked on water; I think he was looking for Missingno.) CycloneGU (talk) 00:20, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
Regarding vandalism, don't oversight it. Wikipedia doesn't. Leave the proof for the average person to see, as most won't bother looking at the history. If they do, they'll know who the good members are. =) CycloneGU (talk) 00:24, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
Vandalism is really only hidden if it is advertising, contains malicious links, has vulgar or derogatory language, etc. And yes, they edits are still there, just only admins can see them. However, the same thing applies to forums (I can see the little "user has deleted this post" things on the forums, but only actually view the post in the forum I have powers in, the news forum). --SnorlaxMonster 14:10, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

Dream World-only moves

Looking through Pokemon pages, a lot of Pokemon have moves in the list that are available through ways other than Dream World. Should they removed? If not, should the name be changed? --It's Funktastic~! (talk) 04:24, 19 July 2012 (UTC)

I don't have an issue with keeping them (although we might want to consider changing the title from "Dream World-exclusive moves" to "Dream World moves") unless they are available via leveling up. --SnorlaxMonster 04:28, 19 July 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, it's really the title that's the problem, since it's a little misleading. If it's decided to change it to Dream World moves, I'd be happy to fix the pages. --It's Funktastic~! (talk) 18:51, 19 July 2012 (UTC)

Special moves/TCG-only moves

I noticed that on most, if not all of the Unova Pokemon have those sections regardless of whether or not they have anything in them while older Pokemon pages do not have them if the Pokemon do not have TCG only or Special moves. Should it be standardized across all Pokemon pages, or is it not really important? --It's Funktastic~! (talk) 19:59, 20 July 2012 (UTC)

IMO TCG-exclusive moves should be removed. And It has been discussed before, but nothing has ever happened in rgards to it, because every time some suggests "let's make X change across all Pokemon pages", someone says "well if we're doing X, we may as well do Y as well", then even if we've decided on X, we disagree on Y (or Z, or even W) and nothing gets done or decided. --SnorlaxMonster 14:10, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

Two things.

PMD moves' and abilities' descriptions. Abilities are just text, and they can differ between Rescue and Explorers. Conquest is in moves template, and it's a spin-off like Mystery Dungeon... though probably the moves would need another template for PMD (abilities are simple enough, so we'll use the existing). While Rescue Team in description has text, range (like foe in front) and type, Explorers also have Hit Ratio and Power, like here. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 10:08, 22 July 2012 (UTC) PS. And yes, the flavor text for moves also differs between Rescue and Explorers.

I'd like to have an entire spin-offs description template for both moves and Abilities, but I'll need to discuss it with Werdnae and Jo The Marten. --SnorlaxMonster 14:10, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

Template:BerryInfobox

On pages like Nutpea Berry, the bag description has an extra blank line and no tree sprites while Topo Berry still has that blank line but has trees. Also, what does the treeimage parameter do in the berry infobox? --Abcboy (talk) 02:04, 23 July 2012 (UTC)

The blank lines were due to method the code used to not display irrelevant sections, which resulted in extra linebreaks in the code, which are displayed as a space. I removed them by changing the method of hiding the irrelevant sections as I was updating the alignment tags, since it also makes the code a bit easier to read. The treeimage parameter seems to be a leftover from an old version of the template - it doesn't exist in the current version, and so does nothing at all. Werdnae (talk) 09:40, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
How come Topo has tree sprites while Nutpea doesn't? I think it's some sort of fallback considering how little we know about Topo in comparison. --Abcboy (talk) 11:11, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
Hello? --Abcboy (talk) 11:29, 1 August 2012 (UTC)
We simply haven't been able to get ahold of those sprites it appears. And personally, I think there is way too much in the Berry infobox and more info should be moved into the article body. --SnorlaxMonster 14:10, 1 August 2012 (UTC)
I believe all the e-Reader berries use Enigma Berry's tree sprites. --Abcboy (talk) 20:42, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
Fortunately I actually have an e-Reader, several e-Reader Berry cards and all the required equipment to check, so I will. However, I have always had trouble getting it to work, so it may take a little while. --SnorlaxMonster 13:56, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
Wow! All they really need is the bag description and tree sprites. (I believe they're the same as Enigma) Also, in Japan, the e-Reader was compatible with FRLGE, so they should have bag sprites. (Maybe it's just blank?) --Abcboy (talk) 14:03, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
Hmm... my Sapphire's internal battery has died (in the past 2 months), so it will be tricky. I will get it to work, but it may take a little longer than I originally thought. I don't have a Japanese e-Reader, so I don't know if they do. --SnorlaxMonster 08:10, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
Look at this! a:File:Cheri tree.gif a:File:Chesto tree.gif a:File:Pecha tree.gif These are the rare Generation III tree sprites. I couldn't even find these on any other web site. However, they only have the still sprite and are gifs. Can you also work in the Dream World artwork into the infobox or the page? --Abcboy (talk) 19:08, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
If only we could get animated tree sprites for each stage for each Berry. I'm not sure how Dream World art would work in the infobox since Enigma Berries (other than the base one) don't have any; I think maybe an artwork section, but I want Berry pages overhauled anyway. Also, in regards to me checking my Enigma Berries in RS, I am having trouble even sending the Berry/Trainer data to my Sapphire, indicating that my link cable is dodgy; however, I have successfully transferred a Berry once before. I may not be able to get what I wanted to after all. --SnorlaxMonster 14:12, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
According to these a:File:Pumkin tree.gif a:File:Drash tree.gif a:File:Eggant tree.gif a:File:Chilan tree gen III.gif, all e-Reader berries use Enigma tree sprites. a:File:Enigma tree.gif. Should I redirect the missing images to Enigma's Generation IV images or wait until someone can get the Generation III images? On a similar note, is "Berry tree" preferred over "Berry Tree" or should it be something else? Is "Berry" preferred over "berry" or should "berry" be used in certain circumstances? --Abcboy (talk) 16:36, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
Hello?--Abcboy (talk) 16:21, 23 August 2012 (UTC)

Berry is preferred over berry (see User:SnorlaxMonster/Pokémon Syntax). IMO they should be Berry plants since things like Rawst Berries aren't trees. In-game, they aren't even called trees or plants, but since neither is an official term, they should be "Berry tree" or "Berry plant". --SnorlaxMonster 06:06, 25 August 2012 (UTC)

PKMN

Hey, I was checking if some glitch articles were ok when I saw something that deeply bothered me, not only because its correction would take a lot of time, as because I'm not sure if I should correct it: I noticed that there's a glitch pokémon called PKMN, and that on its page it is referred as it is really named, with the letters at different heights. The problem is: I'm not sure if that's the only pokémon supposed to be named with those templates, because its name is just that, or if the other pokémons with those letters in the name should have their Bulbapedia names changed into their right ones. For example, thought PKMN is referred as PKMN, 7PKMN 'v is referred just as 7PkMn 'v. What I'm asking you is if I should correct that kind of mistakes, or if they shouldn't be considered mistakes at all. What should I do? TheOriginalOne 19:49, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

It should use those templates when mentioned in article text, but you can't use them in article titles. Personally I think PkMn should be changed to PKMN in the titles, but as I mentioned earlier, I'm very busy. --SnorlaxMonster 14:10, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

Unnoticed Katakana/Hiragana (?) character

Hi, I was reviewing the article about japanese text in english games, and when I was looking at the pictures and at their description, I noticed that the second picture had a japanese character that wasn't referred in the picture description (view a picture with it highlighted here: [1]). I neither know wheter if it's Katakana or Hiragana, nor how to find it, but you know very much about these symbols, right? If so, could you please add the character to the description? TheOriginalOne 17:42, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

Sorry if I'm not supposed to do this, but just from looking, it looks like hiragana u (う). --It's Funktastic~! (talk) 18:50, 26 July 2012 (UTC)
I also apologize for intruding, but as Funktastic said. It's definitely the hiragana 「う」. (The character preceding it is 「い」, and the characters below are 「あえお」.) --超龍對話 19:03, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for the japanese lesson! I don't mind the intrusion, the important is that now I can correct the page. TheOriginalOne 20:03, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

UPDATE: Well, looks like I still have some doubts: I noticed that many of the screens presented have got what looks like う, and that it always appeared at the same spot, next to the same type of graphics, and so I started thinking of う being just a piece of graphics. The other problem (if the う is actually text) is that at the left of the pictures, there is text, that like the pic description, shows the discovered characters. At the left of the character, a number appears... and I don't know the number for う. SnorlaxMonster, what should I do??? TheOriginalOne 20:23, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

Leave it for now. The article needs a cleanup anyway, and as you can tell from a comment made on the talk page, there is another character missing too. --SnorlaxMonster 14:10, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

Elite Four Vs Sprites

Figured I would go right to you since you are familiar with the issue. On the Gym Leaders page we decided to use the VS sprites for the ones we have available. That same user and a few others changes over to sprites instead of Vs sprites on the Elite Four page as well. Since you are an admin I was curious as to what you thought about this and if we should still use the VS sprites on the Elite Four page as well. --HoennMaster 18:50, 27 July 2012 (UTC)

Should be consistent with the Gym Leader article, and since it was decided to keep the VS sprites there, they can stay on Elite Four too. --SnorlaxMonster 14:10, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

Oh god, I'm so sorry. I'm just new here and I don't know much. I'll revert my edits and you can delete the images if you want. --Pyro (talk) 14:38, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

Wait never mind they were already reverted >_< --Pyro (talk) 14:39, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

Don't worry about it, just ensure you do't do it again. And thanks for your compliance. And only some have been reverted right now. --SnorlaxMonster 14:41, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

Stupid and scary freezes

Hi. I say that I'm in project GlitchDex because I like glitches. Well... not all! This conversation is about news from one of the few glitches that I hate: game freezes. Well, the point is: due to the age of my Nintendo, and to some times it fell on the ground, sometimes it just can't stop freezing. Recently, I've discovered 2 types of freezes (yeah, they are stupid and scary). That's hard to repeat stuff, because only recently they started to bump at me. Why am I saying that these are new types? ...because, contrary to the ones known by everyone...THEY DON'T FORCE US TO SHUT DOWN THE NINTENDO, THE GAME IS STILL PLAYABLE! I'm even scared while I'm writing this, but here they come:

 • This one happened to me 2 times in Black, just on Castelia City: I was doing nothing when the music froze. It was the only thing to freeze, I could still walk... and hear the beeps! No secondary effects happened.
 • I didn't witness this one, but still, it's scary: My sister told me that while she was starting a new game in Platinum (just for fun, she wasn't going to delete the old one), she received TM Return from Rowan, as usual. Then, also as usual, Lucas showed her the Pokecenter and the pokemart. This is where the Nintendo got stupidified: The text box about Rowan giving the TM appeared, and then, Lucas started showing her the locations again. She was still at the same spot, so, guess what? They walked on the trees! She even told me that the game said "mystery zone". Unfortunately, she turned it off before showing me.

Do you know anything we can discuss about this, like any reports of similar events? This may mean an update to the game freezes page. TheOriginalOne 20:17, 31 July 2012 (UTC)

Sometimes if a game is dirty or dusty, it can acts strangely. A damaged DS can also be an issue. Using any cheatcodes or chaeting devices can leave lingering effects. I haven't heard of reports of either glitch you mentioned. --SnorlaxMonster 14:10, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

UPDATE: The second weird freeze was actualy interrupted by a normal one, so that's why she turned the power off.

The answer is "damaged DS". Also, I don't use cheat codes. What I'm saying now is: do you think it's worthy to ask all the pokémon community if this has happened to them? And if it didn't freeze in the normal way this time? I'm saying this because this could mean the discovery of a new way of tweaking! Do you think it's worthy to do this search? VS Sprites for E4

Before, the Johto, Sinnoh & Unova Elite 4 Members had they're regular battle sprites. They were changed to those because even though the Hoenn Elite 4 will probably have them with possible RS Remakes, that would still leave the Kanto Elite 4 with just regular battle sprites. Having 3/4 regions of Elite 4 Members with VS Sprites and one region's elites left out seems makes it look a little weird. You changed it back to VS Sprites because of consistency, but wouldn't it be consistent if all Elite 4 Members had the same kind of sprites? Basically, I'm just wondering it's OK for the Johto, Sinnoh & Unova Elite 4 Members to be changed back to their regular battle sprites. Thanks! Torpoleon (talk) 21:17, 2 August 2012 (UTC)

I was referring to conistency with the decision made regarding the Gym Leader page. I'll ask some other staff members what they prefer. --SnorlaxMonster 13:16, 4 August 2012 (UTC)

Black 2 and White 2 Beta Question

Since I noticed that you deleted that page, I figured I should ask you. I was searching through old images and video and I found an image of the medals being viewed . In that image the medals shined with a star in the upper right corner during various times, but in the final game there is no such star shine. Instead it is just a diagonal line going across them without a star. Would this work towards that Beta, since that star isn't in the final game? Lady Ariel (talk) 18:09, 4 August 2012 (UTC)

Like this image? If that is the case then sure, but make sure you check it isn't just a Black 2/White 2 difference or something. --SnorlaxMonster 13:56, 9 August 2012 (UTC)

I hope you didn't forget about the templates. At least tell me if I should continue keeping them in my watchlist. ----DJWolfy 19:31, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
I've told you before; they really do no harm. They aren't needed, but there is no problem with them being there, so removing them is very low on my priorities. --SnorlaxMonster 14:12, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

Berries

I am thinking of creating a separate article for the Berries in Mystery Dungeon, as they work differently in these series (mainly, the plants don't exist, plus Sitrus and Chesto have extra effects unique to it). What's your opinion on this? Marked +-+-+ (talk) 12:15, 6 August 2012 (UTC)

The only unique Berry is the Oren Berry, and I don't think it needs its own article. I wouldn't be against putting the item template on the Berry pages under a PMD section or something though. --SnorlaxMonster 12:32, 6 August 2012 (UTC)

Coordinates

Hey, recently I've been trying to improve this page, and I noticed that you were also doing that, so I think I can ask this to you: Now I added the B2W2 Unova map, based on the original coordinates of the previous one (to which I added "(BW)"), and now I'm trying to correct the links in that newly created map, and that's where the problem beggins. So, do you know how to work with the coordinates? I've already noticed that they're the numbers before the name/link of the location, but I still didn't understand which direction each represents and the distance value of those numbers. So, if you know, could you tell me please? TheOriginalOne 20:28, 7 August 2012 (UTC)

They represent each corner of the square, the points of a polygon, or I think the points of a triangle within a circle. I didn't actually make any of them; I got them off of PokéWiki, who gave us permission to use their maps ages ago on one of TTE's talk pages. However, they currently haven't done a B2W2 Unova map. --SnorlaxMonster 13:56, 9 August 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, you know as much as me in this matter, except for the fact that the code is from a wiki in another language. Well, anyway, ty for trying to help me, now I've also created that B2W2 stub in that wiki, in order to "fish" all the changes that they do to it. However, before that I'll keep trying to fix it myself. So, thank you again for trying to help. TheOriginalOne 17:01, 9 August 2012 (UTC)

Project Events

I was wondering if we should create a Project that focuses on events, because I've noticed that not many people add to that category, and the list of Pokémon for certain year will usually be added after that year, and not everyone reads the Main Page. --- unsigned comment from Groudon 60 (talkcontribs)

Events come under project games still. I have been working on rearranging all events like this page, but in the process also fact checking (cross referencing against 3 different fansites and trying to locate an official source, usually through Wayback Machine) and adding a description including things like where it was distributed (for some events, such as world championships events, location-date tables are needed) and any requirements for obtaining it (like Japanese birthday events requiring you to provide evidence of your date of birth). Due to the large amount of work required to follow all of these steps, I never end up having time to do it, but I have got Gen V and half of Gen IV saved to my computer as txt files. Once I finish my project and update the List of Nintendo event Pokémon in Generation II with the rest of the NYPC events, that is really all there is in regards to events (as well as current events). --SnorlaxMonster 07:47, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

夢の跡地 Translation

Rather than having the conversation in edits, I thought it would be appropriate to bring it up here. I opted for "Yard" because it more accurately describes the fact that the ruins are modern, and is the official translation. Ruin seems to imply an ancient ruin, but yard implies a more modern lot. Even if it doesn't state that there are ruins on it, it is implicit and not surprising. TJF (talk) 03:28, 11 August 2012 (UTC)

Yard is really just an empty location though, and doesn't reflect the fact that there was once a building there (which is an important part of the Japanese name). Ruin does imply ancient, but yard doesn't imply that there was ever anything there. I suppose the best translation would be "Destroyed Building Site of Dreams", but I think the context that the building was from a destroyed research facility mentioned in the opening paragraph should remove any confusion about it being ancient. --SnorlaxMonster 03:58, 11 August 2012 (UTC)

Region image maps

Hey, not only I'm expressing my thanks for your help, as... what did you mean with "could you add the unnamed islands (maps are on their pages) and make separate links for Fire, Ice, and Lightning Islands?" ??? (my work is still on progress, and I'm really aware of that). TheOriginalOne 20:18, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

I was referring to the Orange Islands map, from which you left out the unnamed islands and the three islands off the coast of Shaomati. I wasn't sure if you had noticed or not. --SnorlaxMonster 14:12, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

Mobile Bulbapedia

Do you think it's a good idea to make a mobile version of this site? If so we would need someone to do so... I have a Samsung Tablet, and I sometimes use it to go to this site, and I think that anyone that uses a device like me to view Bulbapedia would benefit from doing so... everything would be the right format and all that stuff. --- unsigned comment from Groudon 60 (talkcontribs)

Contraditory information

Hi, I was reading the Surf Glitch article, and, in the middle of it, it said that it was impossible to reach the Hall of Origin by using it, because it wasn't related to the Underground. I relied on that information, specially because there was no tutorial on the Internet named like "How to catch Arceus by Tweaking", except for one that was made for the April fools. So, I added that info to the Tweaking page. Now, yesterday I found on the Hall of Origin page a sentence saying that it could in fact be accessed by glitching, but without the ability of finding Arceus. I tought about correcting it, but first I searched on the Internet, not how to use Tweaking or the Surf Glitch in order to catch Arceus, but just to get to the Hall of Origin. And guess what? Some videos appeared, but I'm still doubtful because of their quality. So, which of the 2 infos is right?

PS: I don't want to feel like I don't have to do with these matters, but... aren't you going to archive this talk page? The HP bar has been warning you for days... TheOriginalOne 18:29, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

You can't get the the Hall of Origin by tweaking/the Surf glitch. Could you link these videos you found? As for archiving my page, there's too much stuff here that I still need to get around to, and if I archive it chances are I never will. --SnorlaxMonster 07:29, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

The thing that surprised me was the fact that the first one was made by Zowaixx, the author of many glitch videos posted here at Bulbapedia. TheOriginalOne 16:45, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

Zowayixx's video is him proving that you can tweak inside, but it requires cheating to walk through walls. You cannot reach that area by the Surf glitch or tweaking in areas where it is possible without cheating. The second one shows nothing. --SnorlaxMonster 14:53, 22 August 2012 (UTC)

GlitchResearch

Hey, I was thinking about the GlitchResearch template. I consider it appropriate, but the problem is: I don't think the picture used (óË e Ái's Sprite) is original, and I think you know why. Would there be any problem if I replaced the template picture by this one that I made? TheOriginalOne 20:26, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

Not sure what you mean by "original". Usually we use an existing image for notice templates rather than creating new ones. I personally prefer óË e Ái. --SnorlaxMonster 07:29, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
With "original", I meant "creative". Really, do you think that óË e Ái's Sprite is creative enought to be used in a template like that one? TheOriginalOne 16:49, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
They're not meant to be creative. I originally chose óË e Ái's sprite because we knew so little about it. --SnorlaxMonster 14:53, 22 August 2012 (UTC)

Wonder Guard vs. Mummy

Seems to be affected by it in White 2 (and Black 2 likely), as Shedinja lost it after using a contact move on Yamask. How I know that? Well that ability bar thingy morphed (similarly to Trace or anything changing Ability) and the name of Ability was the same as Yamask's. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 10:03, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

Tested in BW. It works. It seems someone added false information. --SnorlaxMonster 14:53, 22 August 2012 (UTC)

YGlitchNameE0.png

Hi, I've noticed that the page for one glitch pokémon is named "8 P ァ", tought, as you can see from the picture, there's a pokéball (◓) before the 8. I tought about moving it, but I didn't, because I'm not sure wether or not that is part of the glitchy graphics at that place. Or, from another point of view, it could be "▓◓8 P ァ". What should I do? Leave it, move it to "◓8 P ァ", or move it to "▓◓8 P ァ"? TheOriginalOne 18:23, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

I really don't want to use glitch blocks like ▓ in their names because thye look nothing like the actual glitch blocks. ◓ I'm still unsure about using. I'm actually considering having all Gen I glitch Pokémon moved to systematic names like epicodes so that they are less subjective, and all links can be images of names (of course this could only ever happen once we have images for all names). If this does go through, Missingno. would not be affected due to having multiple index numbers. --SnorlaxMonster 14:53, 22 August 2012 (UTC)

Frozen Island and future.

Checked Episode. Map didn't show for Frozen Island. Our German friends have the map of future (the same as yours?), although without anything marked. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 15:59, 22 August 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, I know what they have (that's where I got the Sky map). I have an image of the Future World as well, although it only has dots for the main story locations not the Special Episode ones, which is why I didn't upload it. I might just upload the map anyway. Getting maps for the other Special Episode dungeons would be good too (they appear on the top screen in cutscenes, waypoints, and between dungeons). --SnorlaxMonster 06:06, 25 August 2012 (UTC)
Not a case with the Special Episode*. I am on Frozen Island (still) and map didn't showed at all. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 09:17, 26 August 2012 (UTC) PS. Some levels on Collapsed Temporal Spire seem to be wrong. I spammed Doom Seed + reload* like a hell (on most enemies I could, of course Dusknoir finished some before I could do something...) and I never encountered a Lv. 39 Bronzong (it dropped to that level, but that means it was Lv. 40) or lv. 41 Magneton (as with Bronzong, it always dropped to Lv. 41 which means it was Lv. 42); didn't meet enough Gastly (few) and Mismagius (ONE) to say that about them. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 09:24, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
Even between dungeons? I'm currently doing "Here Comes Team Charm!", but once I finish that I'll try and get up to Frozen Island to check. In that episode, in waypoints and areas between dungeons (like "Illusion Stone Chamber" which is where I currently am), the top screen has a map when a cutscene is not currently happening. However, it doesn't have any yellow dots.
In "Into The Future of Darkness", Brozong are level 39 from 1F-10F Temporal Tower and 1F-2F Temporal Spire, and level 40 from 3F-10F Temporal Spire. Magenton do not appear in Temporal Tower, and are level 41 from 1F-2F Temporal Spire and level 42 from 3F-10F Temporal Spire. Gastly are Lv 33 until 3F of Spire, then Lv 34. Mismagius is Lv 34 until Spire 3F, then Lv 35.--SnorlaxMonster 10:32, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
Top screen? That might explain, since I set it to showing job... yeah, it now shows. Dumb me, I need to redo chapter. The only thing that's uncertain are future dungeons exclusive to main story (if any), as I am waaaay past that point. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 11:03, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
Well, here's what it looks like in the guidebook. Also, I've uploaded the main story future world image. --SnorlaxMonster 14:56, 26 August 2012 (UTC)

Somthing up with Bulbapedia?!

Bulbapedia, on my laptop at least, has transformed from all circular and round to blocks. All the templates and the tags at the top have became square. I know it is sopposed to display differentlly dependent on your browser, however I am not using a new browser or anything new. Most problematic, the text box will not appear for me on the fourums either. I was wondering if you'd know what might be the problem Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 17:22, 22 August 2012 (UTC)

Sorry to butt in, but the problem may be you have your browser set on compatibility mode. Try clicking the ripped paper icon near the top of your browser and see if the problem fixes itself. --Pokemaster97 17:26, 22 August 2012 (UTC)

Maps in sandbox.

What will they be used for? Oh, and updated it for that version you uploaded (plus fixed the red dot, yellow are fine when compared to in-game version) Marked +-+-+ (talk) 14:45, 23 August 2012 (UTC)

I'm confident that they are going to be used at least on the region pages, and maybe on the templates that refer them. If then we don't mind throwing away a lot of work from before just for innovation, we could get rid of those location highlighting images from the archives and replace them by a modified version of the template, with the location highlighted and the link missing for it; that's what german language version of Bulbapedia does. That's why I've spent so many hours at the sandbox.

PS: Just to express my greatest thanks for the fact that you two (Marked and SnorlaxMonster) made great progresses on the MD maps in just 2 days. I'm impressed, specially when I began that work thinking that it would take several months to complete, and when I don't have access to the location info! TheOriginalOne 16:46, 23 August 2012 (UTC)

Ah yeah, about the preparing of the final template (to be placed as a new section), what's wrong with this code? TheOriginalOne 18:20, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
Once we get location highlighted maps that are all following the same convention so that the linking works, then we may implement them. Other staff members have expressed interest in them, but I've never gotten any formal approval (the custom HGSS-style Kanto maps we use are a big issue). Hopefully we can get location highlighted maps for PMD locations as well in the future. I would like to see them used. As for that code you provided, we may be better off using subtemplates to minimize switch load (having big switches can strain the server). It would be up to whoever is implementing it though. --SnorlaxMonster 06:06, 25 August 2012 (UTC)

Deleting pages

Hi, I was trying to delete the page PkMnRPkMn B, a redirect (since it was moved) to PkMnRPkMn ", with the deletion summary "15 months ago this page was moved, with the summary saying that there's not even a B on it. There's not even A REASON for people to say that, so this redirect really isn't worth keeping". In fact, there's no reason anymore for people to think about that imaginary B. Then I figured out something: I couldn't delete it it! I erased all the info, but still, the blue link continued there! So, is page deletion a staff-only right? If it is, could you please delete it? In the trivia section of the Unova articles,it says that except black city and village bridge all other towns and cities are named after clouds or cloud patterns and the next point says that "Likewise, with the exception of Black City, all the Japanese names of the towns and cities come from traditional patterns." Availability table.

2 rather complicated things for Generation III events*:

 • Combusken. Both Torchic and Blaziken were available via a distribution (the former in Gotta Catch 'Em All #1 and the latter as a 10th Anniversary Pokémon) (nevermind)
 • Umbreon and Espeon. Both as a 10th Anniversary Pokémon... They're pretty much a oddity, as you can't get them in any handheld main series without trading. You can't get Eevee in RSE, and there is no time function in FRLG... what about the events? Normally Event->Trade, but this is odd case.

PS-Pls don't take this in a wrong way. I'm asking this in a polite way.Auraguardian197 14:46, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

No! Ash's Heracross was introduced in the Generation II Johto anime, before gender differences were introduced. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 18:47, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

But gender was introduced in gen II,wasn't it? And Ash's pikachu's gender is male even though gender was introduced later,right?Auraguardian197 07:29, 31 August 2012 (UTC)

Gender was introduced in Generation II, but Gender Differences weren't introduced until Gen IV. Because all Heracross had horn like Ash's Heracross before Gen IV, we don't know if it is a male or female so we need confirmation from the anime about its Gender. Pikachu's Gender was confirmed in the anime.--ForceFire 07:32, 31 August 2012 (UTC)

Emolga game locations

In Emolga's game location(B2W2) section,it says that it is available in routes 5,6,etc. and availability is given as 'rare' and 'one'. I couldn't find where the 'one' applies for,and I couldn't find anything about Emolga in route 5 and route 7 articles, and also in the Dragonspiral tower article(I didn't bother looking the other locations). Why is that?Auraguardian197 16:16, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

One more thing, while headbutting the trees above Kurt's house in azalea town in pokemon crystal,I found heracross, aipom and spearow which are, according to the headbutt article, mountain pokemon. But the article says that only forest pokemon are found in azalea town. Shouldn't it be changed?Auraguardian197 09:13, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
I'm guessing that the "one"s are because they are in Hidden Hollows. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 10:43, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
It has been corrected. The user copied the "one" from BW, where an Emolga can be recieved via trade. --Abcboy (talk) 16:45, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
Ok. But what about route 5,6 etc. articles? They say nothing about the availability of emolga in B2W2.Auraguardian197 17:00, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
Once again, the user has copied the information for B2W2 from BW. Slowly, Bulbapedia will update the locations. Presumably, Emolga will still be there. (but I'm not sure) --Abcboy (talk) 17:07, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
Not really sure about the Headbutt issue. --SnorlaxMonster 11:30, 3 September 2012 (UTC)

Frozen Island map image upload

Can you please upload Datei:PMD2 Frostinsel.png onto Bulbapedia? I want to include it on Frozen Island and Pokémon world (Mystery Dungeon)#Sky only. I am currently unable to use a computer, so I would appreciate it. Thank you! --Abcboy (talk) 23:18, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

Oh, I didn't think they had that map (I had been looking for it). Uploaded. --SnorlaxMonster 11:30, 3 September 2012 (UTC)

HP Bar... again

Could I have this one? (I also changed the links a bit. In case you didn't notice, it's an image map.)
