Double Team (Japanese: かげぶんしん Shadow Divide) is a non-damaging Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I.
Effect
Double Team increases the user's evasion by one stage. Double Team will do nothing if the user's evasion has reached a stage of +6.

In the anime, Double Team creates illusions of the Pokémon using it, and anything touching the user such as clothes or possibly another Pokémon. It can be used to make the opponent think it's being attacked, while the user attacks from an unexpected position.

Pokémon
Gloom. Gloom glows blue, then it glows white and it creates multiple copies of itself.
- Used by Florinda's Gloom in Make Room for Gloom. Debut.
Golbat. Golbat creates a copy and uses it as a decoy. After the opponent attacks it, Golbat appears behind the opponent.
- Used by Mandi's Golbat in Round One - Begin.
Scyther. Scyther glows multicolored, then creates 2 or more copies of itself.
- Used by Jeanette Fisher's Scyther in The Fourth Round Rumble.
- Used by Tracey's Scyther from Tracey Gets Bugged to Present.
Swellow. Swellow glows white and then creates identical copies of itself.
- Used by Ash's Swellow from That's Just Swellow to present.
Meowth. Same as above.
- Used by Tyson's Meowth from Saved by the Beldumto present.
Shiftry. Same as above.
- Used by Spenser's Shiftry in Ka Boom with a View!.
Aipom. Same as above.
- Used by Ash's Aipom from Aipom and Circumstance to Journey to the Unknown!.
Ambipom. Same as above.
- Used by Dawn's Ambipom from The Psyduck Stops Here! to present.
Starly. Same as above.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Double Team is Lucario's down Special move. When Lucario uses Double Team, it creates copies of itself for its opponent to attack, while the real Lucario sneaks up from behind to counterattack.
