Mt. Battle Area 9 is the ninth area of Mt. Battle, which contains zones 81 to 90. In Pokémon Colosseum, during Story Mode, opposing Trainers use Pokémon with levels from 54 to 60. In Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, the levels range from 63 to 67.

Trivia

• In Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, in Battles 1 to 5, all of the Pokémon fought give out HP EVs while in Battles 6 to 10 all of the Pokémon fought give out Defense EVs.
• Area Leader Axley's team in Pokémon Colosseum is a reference to the puzzles for unlocking the legendary giants in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire; in addition to including Regirock, Regice, and Registeel themselves, his team contains Wailord, Relicanth, and Flygon. The former two Pokémon were required to complete the first puzzle in the Sealed Chamber, while Flygon was the only species at the time that could learn all of Dig, Strength, and Fly, which were needed for the Sealed Chamber's second puzzle, the Desert Ruins' puzzle, and the Ancient Tomb's puzzle respectively.
• All of Researcher Durel’s Pokémon are version exclusives that can be found in the same area based on these pairs:
  • Sableye and Mawile are found in the same area, but are exclusive to Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, respectively
  • As with the above example, this is the case with Zangoose and Seviper in Ruby and Sapphire, respectively.
  • Ursaring and Donphan for Pokémon Gold and Silver, respectively.
• St. Performer Volivia’s Ninjask will use Toxic on her own Swellow on the first turn if they are sent out together to activate its Guts Ability. The same will happen if Heracross is on the field with Ninjask.
