Gear events[note 1] (Japanese: 装備イベント Gear Event) are a type of limited-time event in Pokémon Masters EX. These focus on a specific type and involve co-op mode battles against opponents that are weak against the featured type. Battles reward the player with gear for the featured type and vouchers that can be exchanged in the Shop for items.
Rock-type Gear Event
The Rock-type Gear Event first ran from July 8 to 15, 2021. It featured the introduction of 3★ Rock Gear. Co-op battles rewarded the player with Rock Gear and Event Voucher M which could be exchanged for items in the Shop. Daily Bonus Battle 1 could be challenged once per day.

- All gear event battles are identical to the co-op battles in the training event for the same type, if that type had a training event. The only exception is Collecta-ball Poison Gear!, which features battles against Ball Guy instead of Mina, Valerie, and Candice.
