====Major appearances====
Scolipede debuted in The Bloom Is on Axew!. Iris's Axew fell out of a tree and got caught in Scolipede's antennae. This startled Scolipede and caused it to go on a rampage, until Iris's Excadrill decided to defeat it with Drill Run.
In Emolga the Irresistible!, Bianca accidentally enraged a Scolipede by having her Bianca use Flamethrower on Scolipede when she thought it was the wild Iris she was after. As such, it attacked Ash, Cilan, and Bianca. The three Trainers soon managed to escape from the angry Megapede Pokémon.
In A Maractus Musical!, a wild Scolipede attacked one of Toby's Maractus. However, it was distracted by Pikachu's Electro Ball, giving Toby and his Maractus enough time to flee.
In Battling the Bully!, Sean's father lent a Scolipede to his son and Glenn to use in a battle with Mick. In Rocking the Virbank Gym! Part 1 and Part 2, Roxie used a Scolipede in a Gym battle against Ash. It battled Leavanny and won, but it lost to Pignite's Fire Pledge.
In Team Plasma's Pokémon Power Plot!, a Scolipede was a test specimen of Colress's. It was forced to fight Pikachu, but it was eventually released from Colress' control when TRT stole his data.
In Team Plasma's Pokémon Manipulation!, another Scolipede was a test specimen of Colress's. It was released by him as soon as it fired off an attack, however.

Scolipede (Japanese: ペンドラー Pendror) is a dual-type Bug/Poison Pokémon introduced in Generation V.
It evolves from Whirlipede starting at level 30. It is the final form of Venipede.
Biology
Scolipede is a plump, centipede-like Pokémon that usually stands with the front half of its body raised vertically off the ground. Its segmented body is dark magenta, except for its smooth, dark gray underside. Long, slightly bent horns similar to antennae extend from its head, as well as an identical pair of horns on its rear. Purple bands decorate these horns, and teardrop-shaped rings of the same color mark each body segment, one on each side of its body. It possesses four pairs of short, purple fore-claws on the body segments that make up its neck, which is used to inject poison. The four hind legs are longer, thicker, and spaced farther apart. Each hind limb has curved dark gray bands around the middle.
Scolipede lives in lush forests. It is very aggressive and will not give up until victorious. This Pokémon chases down enemies with great speed and then attacks relentlessly with its horns until it prevails. It latches onto the prey using the toxic spikes on its neck, and then slams it into the ground for the deadly poison effect. Centiskorch is the natural predator or prey of Scolipede, depending on who wins the territorial fight.
Evolution
Scolipede evolves from Whirlipede and is the final form of Venipede.
(For specifics on this Pokémon's Evolution in the games, refer to Game data→Evolution data.)

Trivia
- Scolipede represents November in the Unova horoscope.
- Despite the Scolipede and Centiskorch evolutionary lines living in different parts of the Galar region, both Venipede and Scolipede's Pokédex entries speak of their hostile relationship with the latter family.
- Scolipede and its pre-evolutions were designed by Tomohiro Kitakaze.[1]
Origin
Scolipede may be based on a centipede, most likely the Scolopendra gigantea, while its horns resemble that of Scolopendra cingulata. It could also be based on Arthropleura, a prehistoric relative of centipedes that grew to two-and-a-half meters.
Additionally, Scolipede shares some similarities with millipedes, and may also draw inspiration from a red Archispirostreptus gigas, a species of millipede often kept as a pet. It also bears a strong resemblance to Desmoxytes purpurosea, a species of millipede known for its bright pink coloration and toxicity, the latter of which also ties into Scolipede's typing.
Scolipede's equine appearance may be derived from a pun on the Japanese word for millipede, 馬陸 yasude; the word contains the kanji 馬, which literally means horse.
Name origin
Scolipede may be a combination of Scolopendra (genus of centipedes) and centipede or millipede.
Pendror may be derived from Scolopendra.
