==Effect==
==Effect==
Rapid Spin inflicts damage and removes the effects of the following:
===Generations II-VII===
Rapid Spin inflicts damage and then removes the effects of any [[bound|binding effects]] and {{m|Leech Seed}} from the user, as well as [[entry hazard]]s from the user's side of the field (unless the user has fainted as a result of the move, such as from {{a|Rough Skin}}).

Rapid Spin has a power of 20.

===Generation VIII onwards===
Rapid Spin now has a power of 50. When inflicting damage, Rapid Spin now also raises the user's {{stat|Speed}} by one stage.

===Affected moves===

Blastoise can obtain the move by reaching level 7 as {{p|Wartortle}} and upgrading {{m|Skull Bash}} into it instead of {{m|Surf}}. The user withdraws into its shell and begins rapidly spinning, resetting the cooldown of its other move. The user is unstoppable for the duration of Rapid Spin and can freely move about the battlefield. While spinning, the user will damage and slow nearby enemies. The user's next basic attack after Rapid Spin ends becomes boosted. For the duration of Rapid Spin, the mechanics of the user's Basic attacks as well as Hydro Pump and Water Spout are changed. At level 13 or higher, the user gains a massive amount of Defense and Sp. Defense for the duration of Rapid Spin.

Tsareena starts with the move as {{p|Bounsweet}}. The user spins in the designated direction, dealing damage to any enemy hit. Rapid Spin (Japanese: こうそくスピン Rapid Spin) is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation II.

Effect

Generations II-VII

Rapid Spin inflicts damage and then removes the effects of any binding effects and Leech Seed from the user, as well as entry hazards from the user's side of the field (unless the user has fainted as a result of the move, such as from Rough Skin).

Rapid Spin has a power of 20.

Generation VIII onwards

Rapid Spin now has a power of 50. When inflicting damage, Rapid Spin now also raises the user's Speed by one stage.

Rapid Spin deals damage and removes the Leech Seed status from the user, as well as any status conditions that prevent the Pokémon from moving (e.g. bound, Ingrain, Fire Spin). Starting with Gates to Infinity, it will also remove any traps from the tile in front.

Pokémon UNITE

In Pokémon UNITE, Rapid Spin is Blastoise's and Tsareena's second move.

Blastoise can obtain the move by reaching level 7 as Wartortle and upgrading Skull Bash into it instead of Surf.

Tsareena starts with the move as Bounsweet. The user spins in the designated direction, dealing damage to any enemy hit. When this move hits, the user's movement speed is increased for a short time. Upon evolving from Steenee at level 6, it is replaced by either Trop Kick or Grassy Glide.
