Biology
Physiology
Amoonguss is a mushroom-like Pokémon. It has a huge, gray, stem-like body; fierce-looking eyes; a tiny mouth with large pink lips; and two arms. It has large caps on its head and arms that resemble Poké Balls. The cap on its head has a few warts.
Amoonguss is a mushroom-like Pokémon. It has a large Poké Ball designed cap in a lighter coloration with warts. It also has a huge grayish, stem-liked body, fierce looking eyes and a large pink nose similar to Foongus. Amoonguss wields two Poké Ball-like shields.

Gender differences
Amoonguss is a carnivore, and uses the Poké Ball-like patterns on its arms to lure in prey, although it doesn't work too well in most cases. It also blows poisonous spores at its opponents. These spores can grow into mushrooms wherever they land if they are not washed off quickly. Amoonguss rarely moves, preferring to stand near any dropped Poké Balls. Amoonguss prefers damp places, and can be found mainly in long grass with only their mushroom cap head protruding from it, generally close to water. Brute Bonnet bears a resemblance to Amoonguss.
None.

Special abilities
Evolution
Amoonguss evolves from Foongus.

Behavior
Trivia
Trivia
* Amoonguss, along with its pre-evolution, is similar to Voltorb and Electrode in that it resembles a Poké Ball.
* Amoonguss, along with its pre-evolved form, is similar to Voltorb and Electrode in that it resembles a Poké Ball.
** However, unlike Voltorb and Electrode, it only has a Poké Ball design on it, instead of being in the shape of one.
** Amoonguss's Shiny form's coloration is reminiscent of a Master Ball. It shares this trait with its pre-evolved form.
** Likewise, it features the whole design, complete with the circle resembling the button in the middle (contrary to Voltorb's evolution line having just the shape and general colors, and according to the Pokédex, being transformed Poké Balls themselves).
* Amoonguss and its pre-evolved form share their species name with Paras, Parasect, Shroomish, and Breloom. They are all known as the Mushroom Pokémon.
** Amoonguss's Shiny form's coloration is reminiscent of that of the Master Ball. It shares this trait with Foongus.
** All six Pokémon also share a common move, Spore, and Ability, Effect Spore.
* Amoonguss and its pre-evolved form, Foongus, share their species name with Paras, Parasect, Shroomish, and Breloom. They are all known as the Mushroom Pokémon.
** In Pokémon GO, they all give more Stardust than most other Pokémon upon capture.
* Amoonguss has the highest HP base stat among all Grass Pokémon and all Poison Pokémon.
* According to Ken Sugimori, Foongus, Amoonguss, Ferroseed, and Ferrothorn were all designed by the same designer.
* Amoonguss is the only known Pokémon with a base stat total of 464.

Origin
Origin
It appears to be based on Amanita muscaria or mushrooms of the Agaricus genus, due to it being Poison. Its cap and the shield-like arms were designed to look like the front of a Poké Ball.
Amoonguss may draw inspiration from Amanita muscaria or mushrooms of the Agaricus genus. Like Voltorb and its Electrode, the idea of them being mistaken for the standard Item Balls is similar to a Mimic (Dungeons & Dragons), a monster archetype commonly found in RPGs.

Name origin
Name origin
Amoonguss may be a combination of amanita (a genus of mushroom) and fungus or humongous (huge). Together with Foongus, their names are a corruption of the phrase, "Fungus among us."
Amoonguss may be a combination of amanita (a genus of mushroom) and fungus or humongous (huge). Together with Foongus, their names are a corruption of the phrase, "Fungus among us." This is confirmed by Ali the Student in North Province (Area Two) in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Morobareru is a combination of もろ moro (on both sides, referring to the mushrooms on both hands) and ばれる bareru (slang for "to be found out" or "to come out").
Morobareru is a combination of もろに moro ni (completely) and ばれる bareru (slang for "[for a secret] to be exposed"), referring to how it no longer convincingly looks like a Poké Ball.

Amoonguss (Japanese: モロバレル Morobareru) is a dual-type Grass/Poison Pokémon introduced in Generation V.

It evolves from Foongus starting at level 39.

The Paradox Pokémon Brute Bonnet is said to be an ancient relative of Amoonguss.

Biology

Amoonguss is a mushroom-like Pokémon. It has a huge, gray, stem-like body; fierce-looking eyes; a tiny mouth with large pink lips; and two arms. It has large caps on its head and arms that resemble Poké Balls. The cap on its head has a few warts.

Evolution

Amoonguss evolves from Foongus.

Trivia

Origin

Amoonguss may draw inspiration from Amanita muscaria or mushrooms of the Agaricus genus. Like Voltorb and its evolved form, the idea of them being mistaken for the standard Item Balls is similar to a mimic, a monster archetype commonly found in RPGs.

Name origin

Amoonguss may be a combination of amanita (a genus of mushroom) and fungus or humongous (huge). Together with its pre-evolution, their names are a corruption of the phrase, "Fungus among us." This is confirmed by Ali the Student in North Province (Area Two) in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Morobareru is a combination of もろに moro ni (completely) and ばれる bareru (slang for "[for a secret] to be exposed"), referring to how it no longer convincingly looks like a Poké Ball.[1]
