Sword & Shield arc
Slippery Slope first appeared in PASS32 when Hop, Marnie, and Bede arrived at the Crown Tundra. Aboard the train there, they had also encountered Peony and his daughter Peonia. Seeing how Peonia was unwilling to join his father's expeditions, Marnie challenged Peony to a battle so that Peonia could decide what she wanted to do. Though unappreciative of someone sticking their nose into family business, Peony accepted the challenge.
The battle continued in PASS33. Although Marnie's Morgrem was initially at a disadvantage against Peony's Copperajah, he suddenly evolved into Grimmsnarl and defeated his opponent with a single Hammer Arm. As promised, Peonia was allowed to decide her own pastime, and she promptly headed to the Max Lair. Though their mission was to search for the Rusted Sword and Shield, Bede asked if they could join Peony's expedition team in Peonia's stead, which Peony accepted.
In PASS41, Henry, Marnie, and Bede left the Crown Tundra via the Crown Tundra Station, with Peonia, Calyrex, and the mayor of Freezington seeing them off. Once the children had left, Calyrex freed Peony from its possession one more time, allowing him to think about how the young Trainers were cleaning up the mess caused by his family.
