(Japanese: シャガ Shaga) is one of the Gym Leaders of Souryuu City's Gym, known officially as the Souryuu Gym. He specializes in Template:Type2 Pokémon and gives the Legend Badge to Trainers who manage to defeat him.
In the games
Shaga appears in Pokémon Black and White where he is the mayor of Souryuu City. In Pokémon Black, he is the Gym Leader of Souryuu City's gym, the last gym to be challenged by the player in the region.
In Pokémon White, he will teach Draco Meteor to the player's Dragon-type Pokémon. He can be found in his home in Souryuu City. However, in this game Iris takes his place as Gym Leader. The only differences between both the teams are the genders; Shaga's team consists only of male Pokémon, while Iris's team is made exclusively of female ones.
He also reappears at N's Castle where he and many of the other Unova Gym Leaders hold off the Seven Sages.

Trivia
- His Japanese Leader title is スパルタン メイヤー.
- With his name referencing Iris, it is possible that the two may know each other. If so, this would be the second time that a game has had two noteworthy Dragon-type Trainers who are related either as family or through acquaintances. The first pair appeared in Generation II between the Blackthorn City Gym Leader, Clair, and the Champion, Lance. Here, they were revealed to be cousins.
