Sunyshore City (Japanese: ナギサシティ Nagisa City) is a city in the region of Sinnoh, and the location of the region's final Pokémon Gym. Sunyshore City is known as a major port town and the gateway to Sinnoh's Pokémon League. It is situated on a narrow spit of land bordered by the sea and the mountains. To make up for the lack of space, the city built solar panels to use for power and roads. There are suspended roads throughout the city that collect solar energy to power the city. There is also a lonely woman named Julia who will hand out seven ribbons, one for each day of the week.
Another notable location in the city is an open air market that sells seals to customize Poké Balls. One of the city's famous landmarks is Pokémon Rock, a giant rock resembling a Munchlax in the bay, while another is the nearby Vista Lighthouse.
In the house only reachable by Rock Climb, a lone scientist has been given the okay by The Pokétch Company to develop original Pokétch applications. If you show him a Pokémon with one of three natures, you'll receive one of three different applications.
Also notable is the ability to buy Luxury Balls here, a feat that is impossible during Generation III.
Jasmine, Olivine City's Gym Leader is seen in this city. She states that Sunyshore reminds her of home, because they both are by the sea, and both have a rather large lighthouse. After beating Volkner, Jasmine will give the trainer HM07, which contains the move Waterfall.
Until after Team Galactic is defeated and Dialga or Palkia is captured or defeated, the city experiences a massive blackout, and a man in Valor Lakefront prevents anyone from entering Route 222, the only way to Sunyshore from the rest of Sinnoh.

- Sunyshore's Japanese town motto is たいようが てらす まち.
- Sunyshore is also Cyrus's hometown.
- Sunyshore is a major port town yet it has no ferries unlike Snowpoint and Canalave.
Name origin
Sunyshore likely derives from "sunny", referring to its very sunny weather, and "shore", as it is on Sinnoh's coastline. 渚 Nagisa means "shore".
