Uproar (Japanese: さわぐ Clamor) is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation III.
Effect
Generations III and IV
Uproar has a base power of 50 and deals damage for 2-5 turns. During this time, the user cannot use another move. Uproar will negate any attempts to inflict sleep while it is under effect and will wake up any sleeping Pokémon on the field when it starts.
Uproar will immediately stop after failing against a Ghost-type Pokémon or a Pokémon with the Soundproof Ability.
Generation V
Uproar's power changed from 50 to 90 and now lasts exactly 3 turns.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon
Uproar causes every party member in the same room to become Sleepless for 10 turns. It wakes up any sleeping party members. Prior to Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, it does no damage. It has no effect on Pokémon with the Soundproof Ability.
